This is an awesome hipcamp. We were in a campervan and ended up parking on the basketball court, but we also toured the actual campsites and they are nestled right in the macadamia nut grove with some picnic tables and shade cover.

The outdoor bathrooms and showers are wonderful and great for rinsing off after a day in the ocean or in the hills. The lighting makes it all the more special.

Be sure to say hello to the three massive pups, Xander, Astana, and Huckleberry. We are dog lovers and this trio made our stay even more enjoyable. Very friendly and will come to check in on you every once in awhile.

We also were able to indulge in fresh Mac nuts and fruit during our stay, got a run down about the farm and it’s natural growing practices, and Kelly was a great host. You must stay here for a few nights if you are touring the South Island. Well worth it!

This was a great stay. We pulled up in a campervan, but the campsite setup looked very accommodating. The outdoor shower was nice. And then… fissure 8. You can’t beat the views or the wealth of information Stacy has to offer while touring the lava fields and steaming craters. Absolutely worth it. Some really cool beaches and hot springs also nearby.
