(Dispersed site)
The site was awesome, and Philip was very friendly and helpful! The tent camping spot sits in a low lying area, so it's protected from the wind. There are some chairs and tables in the site, which give plenty of space for cooking, eating, etc. You're right next to the Landers Brew Co., which has great beer on tap and lots of friendly locals! The site was still very quiet though, and we all slept great! Only about 20 mins from the Joshua Tree NP entrance, and close to the Pioneer Village and other local attractions. We'll definitely stay here again!
Past trip
in Pinnacles National Park, CaliforniaApparently I am a 70 year-old trapped in a 30 year-old body and have discovered that I love bird watching. If you've had the some discovery, this is the place to go! Our site was fairly secluded, and we woke up to quail and wild turkey about 10 feet from our tent. We could also glimpse the condor perched in a large tree a few hundred feet from our site.
Past trip
in Cleveland National Forest, CaliforniaThis is one of those rare places in Southern California where you can see deciduous trees with leave that change color in the fall!
Past trip
in Zion National Park, UtahWe stayed here in an RV over Thanksgiving. The place was packed with like-minded people who wanted to enjoy the beauty of the park during their Thanksgiving weekend. It was a bit chilling (nights in the low 20s), but a great experience to be sleeping in the canyon with the Virgin River nearby.
Past trip
in Sequoia National Park, CaliforniaSome of the sites are not large (and if you don't have a reservation they'll ask how larger your tent is when you arrive), but this place is definitely worth the stay (and worth the hassle trying to get a spot). The stream that runs through the middle of the campground and the proximity to all of the awesome Sequoia sites make this the perfect campground for the park.
Past trip
in Mount San Jacinto State Park, CaliforniaBe sure to hike until you actually see the campsite markers. The rangers are very particular about people camping in the designated sites.
Jeremy hasn't gone on any trips yet.
Hipcamp Hosts can leave an optional review of their Hipcampers after the trip is completed. This is where those reviews from Hipcamp Hosts will appear.

We showed up on a Friday morning in July without a reservation and had our pick of about 4 sites that were still open.

Take plenty of water! There's no potable water on site, so you'll have to bring it all in to the park with you.
