Had a fantastic stay at Christina's campsite from May 10-13! Was just the kind of solitude I was looking for in a solo camping trip. Christina and Glenn were really helpful and welcoming, especially to transport all my stuff in their UTV to the site (it's ~a mile away from where I could park). Glenn gathered a bunch of firewood for me too before I got there. The land is just beautiful, with the main campsite right by the AuSable River. Their property is vast, and I'd recommend walking around.
You're right in the foothills of the Adirondacks of course with lots of great hiking nearby. They recommended the Poke-o-Moonshine hike, which was a great one and just a 10 minute drive away. I heard from other hikers that Rattlesnake Mtn. nearby is also spectacular hiking. Check out Arnold's Grocery in town for 375 different kinds of beer, and Stewart's Gas/Shop nearby for a public restroom and coffee if you need them.
The only small downside of the camp for me was that you can hear and see a small part of the state highway from the main campsite. But no driver can see you, and honestly I forgot about the car noise after a while. The site is pretty much perfect in every other way.
Would highly highly recommend Christina's spot to any solo or groups of campers! Hope to return next year in the summer.

Isaac hasn't gone on any trips yet.
