We had a lovely stay at Get Lost Inn 1! Our hosts sent us very detailed information upon arrival which made settling into the cute little cabin so easy. The property is so cute, and super family friendly. Located just steps from a small lake, playground and baseball field, there is plenty to keep your kids entertained outside. We spent our afternoon around the lake, chatting with locals and just taking in the fresh air. But if you're feeling super adventurous, you can make use of the provided fishing poles and see what you might catch! The cabin is also stocked full of everything you need to cook up a tasty meal - pots, pans, seasonings, cooking oils - and if you DO happen to forget something, you aren't completely stranded. There are plenty of gas stations and general stores nearby. The cabin also has plenty of evening or rainy day entertainment. The are closets full of great board games and toys, plus a nice DVD collection and TV with every possible channel and or app you could ask for! We decided to spend most of our night star gazing, as we don't get a lot of that where we come from. The skies are beautiful up there - so clear and bright! I highly recommend booking a summer or winter stay at Get Lost Inn. We can't wait to go back!

We had such a lovely stay at the Birdcage Homestead Cabin! Ann was a wonderful host - super responsive and attentive. The cabin had absolutely everything we needed to feel right at home, but also "off-the-grid". We arrived on an extremely windy day, so we were thankful to have the cabin to hunker down. Tucked into the Cahuilla Hills of Palm Desert, this cozy cabin sits atop a little hill looking down over the valley. It has some of the most amazing views, and plenty of places to hang out with a glass of wine and take it all in. Inside the cabin there is a full kitchen, dining table, comfy couch, TV, bathroom, separate bedroom with queen bed and all the kitchen utensils and cooking materials you could ask for! The property has AC and Heat, which we were very thankful for, as when we arrived it was very warm, but by the evening the temperatures had dropped and the wind picked up! We unfortunately couldn't spend much time out on the lovely patio (there is a propane grill too) because of the high winds, so we hunkered down inside. Ann stocks the cabin full of great books and games - there is plenty to entertain yourself with here! We were especially excited to find a few desert hiking guides so we could plan our hikes for the following day. Aside from the nearby hiking trails - there is so much to do in the area. You can pop down to El Paseo for some high end shopping and dining, or just minutes away, explore the Living Desert Gardens and Zoo, which also has hiking trails to be conquered! In short, if you're looking for a rustic crash pad in the desert - this is the place for you!

We had such a great stay at the Sturtevant Camp Guest Cabins! Deb was so helpful and responsive leading up to and upon our arrival.

The drive up to Adam's Pack Station was great. I will say, we got a little nervous when we were still about .25 miles out and we saw cars parking along the side of the road - an obvious sign that parking would not be easy. But we lucked out! When we got up to the station, my fiancé hopped out to purchase a $30 Annual Adventure Pass (single day pass is $10, so why not!?) and I managed to snag a spot in the main parking lot! So convenient. If you're patient, and willing to take a few laps or linger, there are enough people heading out that you'll eventually get a spot. Otherwise, I recommend getting up there super early on Saturdays.

The pack station is a great place to hang before and after your trip. They have trail maps, t-shirts, cold beverages, ice cream, hot food and on Sunday's, live music!

The hike up to the camp was awesome. It took us about 2.5 hours from start to finish, but we also stopped a lot for pictures, and to wander off to see the beautiful Sturtevant Falls. The falls were packed full of people - it was a hot Saturday afternoon after all, but still a great places to cool off and take a breather.

From the Junction just before Stutevant falls it's maybe another 2.5 miles on the Gabrielino trail. You can take the upper horse trail or lower trail, but Deb recommended we take the horse trail because it would be easier to hike with our packs. The views from this trail were beautiful.

When we arrived, Deb showed us to our Guest Cabin and gave us a tour of the property. We stayed in #1 on the far edge of the camp. The cabins have 4 sets of bunk beds and can sleep 8 guests. The beds all come dressed with clean sheets, pillows and warm blankets so there is no need to carry up a sleeping bag! The cabins also have a heater for those colder nights (we didn't need it), lights that work on a 15 minute timer, plenty of storage (plus hangers for jackets) and a table and chairs. We spent most of the night hanging out around the fire with other weekend guests, but when it came time to retire to our cabin, we were super cozy in our bunks.

At the camp you will also have access to a full kitchen - no need to bring up cooking oils or utensils. If you're staying for the duration of the weekend and have more food than you can or want to carry, Adam's Pack Station has pack mule's that will carry your things to the campsite on Friday's. We packed light, so we didn't use the mules - just hotdogs, veggies and s'mores for us - which was great, because we had less to carry back in the morning!

There is PLENTY of entertainment on the grounds. Scattered throughout the property you'll find a zip line, big swing, table tennis, badminton, horse shoes, board games, musical instruments - you name it, they've got it - to keep you plenty busy! And if that's not enough for you, it's about 3 miles to Mount Wilson or a short hike up to the helipad.

Just steps away from the guest cabins are the well maintained bathrooms with sink and showers, which is such a great added luxury.

In the morning, Deb or your awesome camp hosts will have coffee, tea and oatmeal waiting for you - such a treat after a long day of hiking the day before, and more hiking to come! We whipped up a quick breakfast and sipped some coffee in the main lodge while getting some great tips on nearby hiking trails from our hosts.

A++ to our camp hosts and Deb for their wonderful hospitality. Deb works super hard to keep this place in great shape, and it shows! Everyone we met was incredibly friendly and helpful. We can't wait to return - hopefully next time for a longer stay and a hike up to Mt. Wilson!

We had so much fun exploring the property at 5ACRES. The bar and fire ring set up are awesome. There is tons of room too spread out and get your campsite set up. We popped our tent up under the canopy below the big sign for some protection from the sun. The bar is great for mixing up beverages and prepping food. There is plenty of space behind it to store gear too! The property is also equipped with a propane grill and stovetop! Perfect for grilling up breakfast, lunch and dinner! The landscape is beautiful out there - dotted with gorgeous Joshua Trees and jumbo sized rock formations to climb for even better views of the desert valley below! The host, Francois, was super friendly and responsive. He offered some great tips and all the details we need to get there. I definitely recommend if you use the ATV track to get to the site that you only proceed with a 4x4 SUV that is high off the ground. I have a 4x4 cross over and I definitely felt my car bottom out a few times on some of the bumps along the way - so drive with caution along there! We had a great time and look forward to coming back in the future! Thanks!!

The Pensione at JT Bom is such a treat! First off, Cheryl and Jimbo are great hosts. A few days before our trip Cheryl and I touched base and she offered us so many great tips and made us feel super comfortable. They even met us the day of our arrival to help us get settled in and show us around.

The site has everything you need for desert camping. We felt off-the-grid but took comfort knowing we were just a short drive away from town so if we needed anything in a pinch it was easy to pop in and out of camp. It was also comforting to have some running water and a port-o-potty, and while when we camp we try to stay off our phones, there are electrical plugs throughout the game property where we could plug in our little speaker or blow up our air mattress.

We camped in mid-december and were lucky that we had some warmer weather during the day. The temperatures can dip down to the 30°s at night but the little cabin structure on site kept us warm and cozy.

There is also a great fire pit with a detachable grill - perfecting for grilling up burgers and roasting marshmallows!

The sunset views are amazing here - and even on a night where the moon was fairly full and bright, we could see millions of stars. It was beautiful!

The surrounding town is great too. If you're looking for local entertainment you can pop into the Joshua Tree Saloon or make the trip out to Pioneer Town. If you're not in the mood to make breakfast onsite you can head out to Frontier Cafe for some yummy cold brew coffee and breakfast sandwiches! There are also some great little antique and vintage shops along the strip that are great places to pick up a souvenir.

While our trip was short lived - we had such a fabulous time and will definitely be back again soon! Thank you Cheryl & Jimbo!

The tent is decorated beautifully, we didn't want to touch a thing for fear of messing up how perfect everything looked! The single bed was surprisingly comfortable and the tent was stocked with plenty of blankets, a sleeping-pad, and all the essential necessities to ensure we'd have a cozy night.

You get amazing 360º views from the hilltops, and when the sun sets you'll be shocked by how many stars you can see. We had a hard time retiring to the tent for bed - we wanted to stay up all night counting shooting stars and staring up in awe!

If you're looking for a laid back glamping experience this is the place for you! Our stay was PERFECTION.

We had a great stay at Red Rock Retreat's Lotus Belle tent. Upon arriving, the household pups happily greeted us at the gate, followed by our hosts Colleen and Mathew - who were equally as friendly and welcoming. The property lived up to all of our expectations and more; quiet, serene, rustic and charming - after sleeping under the stars in our cozy tent we woke up feeling refreshed and even managed to muster up the energy for a hike through Red Rock Canyon park, which lies just a few hundred yards from the home. Colleen and Mathew were wonderful hosts, opening their beautiful home to us and making us feel welcome and comfortable. We will definitely be back in the future - and next time we'll make sure to take advantage of the sauna and outdoor shower!
