Past trip
in K.C. Ranch, OklahomaMe and my family camped here for spring break. We wanted to get away from the busyness of every day city life. Glendaâs ranch did not disappoint! We had 160 acres to ourselves, and the kids were able to go off and explore safely. The longhorns would often come through our site while they made their rounds grazing. Glenda was a very kind host and even showed us around and gave us the rundown of her land. If you can, order the hot breakfast. It was delicious! Communication was spotty but I think that is mainly due to limited cell service. Once we would hear from her she was very thorough and helpful. The nearest Walmart is about 45 minutes but there is a dollar store and local store that are closer so be prepared if you were to need to run into town for something. Glenda does have a lot of items on hand that saved us a few trips. Also make sure you are able to take your trash with you as they do not have a dumpster on site. Not a problem for us but just a heads up to help others for planning ahead! All in all this was an awesome get away with beautiful weather, animal watching and no city noise. Just the birds chirping and the breeze whipping by. We have so many photos and memories from this trip. Thank you for sharing your land with us! The kids are ready to come back!

I honestly donât know where to start! The land is gorgeous. Our spot was amazing right by the pond which is a watering hole. Tons of animals to see! We rented ATVs for a day and had an absolute blast. The hosts were more than accommodating. They met us to show us where to go, had dug a brand new fire pit and gathered firewood for us. They gave us information on the property, the animals and dog friendly restaurants in the area. Absolutely unmatched hipcamp. We will never forget our family bonding and truly hope to come back one day. I canât say enough good things. Just book it. Trust me.

Past trip
in Paisano Azul Ranch, TexasThe location is awesome. So close to the park. The spots are first come first served and there are porta johns near by any spot. We loved the fire pit and star gazing!
Past trip
in Sandy Ridge Camping, TexasGreat host, plenty of stars, very clean site, lots of wildlife! The coyotes were very active, we always find them entertaining to listen to. We didnât get a chance to do more than walk one trail due to weather. But we will be back again.

Rick is by far the best host we have had! We will absolutely be back! He always answered us right away, and was more than willing to accommodate us if we needed anything. The property is beautiful, and full of wildlife day and night. His horses and mule are amazing, and so sweet. They came to visit us every day and see what we were doing. He also has donkeys and goats free roaming. We got to meet his wolf Windy and dog Harry. I adored Ricks stories, quick wit and kind heart. Truly unique experience, thank you for everything Rick!

This place was beautiful and clean! The host was wonderful and accommodating and even led us down to the sites since we had never been here before. (Its about a mile and half from the entry) We were lucky to not have any neighbors this weekend, but can say 5 is great for hammock campers like ourselves. It is also closest to the bathroom which was also clean as well.
It was a busy holiday weekend so there were a ton of boats, but it was fun to watch them go by and they were far enough away from the shoreline that we could still swim safely.
We have T-Mobile so I'm not sure if that makes a difference or not, but we had no signal whatsoever. We lost it about 30 minutes before even getting to the property, which speaks to how far away from the city you'll be. To us it was no problem as we like being out of reach and away from it all, just be prepared ahead of time and enjoy the solitude!

Tyler Park - Outhouse site -1
in Coppergate Ranch, TexasCamping in the woods
The hosts were very friendly and always answered quickly. The spot we were taken to was by the rock quarry where there were plenty of trees for us to hammock camp. We could have gotten a spot deeper in the woods but chose to stay by the water. This spot does have a neighborhood across the street but the houses are beautiful and still had Christmas lights up, so the reflection on the water made for awesome pictures. The site was very clean and there was a nice stack of firewood for us to use. The outhouse was nearby too so you donât have to fully rough it if you donât want to. There are also trails to go explore. Lynda was gracious enough to show us the animals and let us wander around the property. All in all it was a pleasant experience and would gladly visit again.

Fox Nook
in Bluegill Hill, ArkansasForest to yourself, safe and clean!
Charles is a very attentive host and his place is great! Itâs clean, tucked away and basically has a private lake. No one was at either cove while we were there. I loved that the dogs could be off leash as long as we avoided the house area. But thatâs a far enough you canât even see the it from where you are. His chickens are cute and Charles even let us hold some babies, my son is still talking about it! He also gave us interesting history and facts about the place and his chickens. If you want to avoid crowds, sharing the camp grounds with strangers, and have the site all to yourself, this is your spot! Would definitely book again.
