Site 1 - Sis Q Ranch Tent Camping
in Sis Q Ranch, CaliforniaSis Q Ranch is incredibly charming! Wide open flat grassy areas for camping, super clean bathrooms and showers, surrounded by all the sights & sounds of nature: trees, chickens, dogs, birds, crickets, gardens, farmland. The ranch is actually a certified wildlife sanctuary! Tom and Jan are so friendly and helpful -- they have lived on this land for decades and can tell you everything about this history of the community and ecosystem of the area. We had a blast watching the eclipse with them. Things were a bit hazy during our stay due to the nearby wildfires, so we didn't get to see the starry night sky, but we were able to visit the nearby waterfall and swimming hole, which is a special place and great for a quick cold swim and picnic. If you camp here, bring your own food to cook (there aren't great restaurant options nearby) and make sure to chat with Tom and Jan!
