Camp Coyote
in Camp Coyote, ColoradoBeautiful blanca peak solitude
Great location, amazing views of Blanca Peak, sites are at the base of a hillside covered in a maze of rocks and boulders that were great for exploring, and we had the whole area to ourselves. Michelle was a great host; the directions were a little tough at first, but she was available and helped us get settled in. We were in pop-up campers, and had limited options for where to set up, but were able to find good level spots for three campers. Sand Dunes NP was an easy 30-minute drive. The only cautionary note is that there is plenty of cactus around, so be cautious if taking younger kids or pets who don't know better.
