Past trip
in High Swamp Camp, MichiganGreat spot near pictured rocks!
This was a great stop - very clean, and cleared sites. The site was large with a picnic table and fire ring. Even though this particular site is in a meadow, it still had privacy from the other sites. Chris came by shortly after I got set up and asked if I wanted coffee in the morning and it was ready and waiting even though I was up early - that is a great touch! only about 20ish minutes to Grand Sable from here. I would definitely stay here again and will next time I'm headed up to the shore.
Past trip
in McCully Heritage Project, IllinoisThis was our second time at the Project and we really enjoy our time there. We stayed in Site 1 (and did the first time - I was mistaken in my first review last year) and it was just nice this year. Even with COVID going on, the bathrooms and facilities were perfectly clean and stocked. The weather was great for a fire and the free firewood was much appreciated! Itâs a great out of the way spot that we had to ourselves our second night and it was totally quiet. They are also upping their Hipcamp game with an added tipi tent on the property. Great place! They deserve your donation.
Past trip
in McCully Heritage Project, IllinoisGreat hidden gem of a campsite
This was a great find! Only four camp spots - we were in number 3 - and since itâs off the beaten track, no car noises, no lights, no loud campers next to you. And even better, the bathrooms (with showers) were very clean and well stocked. No spiders hiding in corners! It was immaculate really. Fire wood in site with great fire pits ready to go. Plenty of trails across the road and onto the hills. Heard plenty of owls, coyotes in the distance, and birds of all sorts. Great place and will definitely go back.
Chad hasn't gone on any trips yet.
Hipcamp Hosts can leave an optional review of their Hipcampers after the trip is completed. This is where those reviews from Hipcamp Hosts will appear.
