Intro: We love taking our popup camper to state parks and unique settings like the ones on HipCamp. We like to kayak, hike, and kick back and relax.

Past trips
Site 2 - Dark Ridge Hide Out/RV Full Hook
in Dark Ridge Hide Out (Adults Only), North CarolinaBeautiful campsite by the creek, trout pond nearby, trails to awesome waterfalls, and a great host. We felt remote but safe and the few neighbors we had were friendly and quiet at night. We took our popup this time and can't wait to go back tent camping.
Pecan Trees Site (#1)
in PRIVATE Retreat near Lake Norman, North CarolinaAwesome experience
We loved our stay at Amy's place. Nice level pad for camper, lights in the trees, nice picnic table, Adirondack chairs, and easy hookup to power and water. We really appreciated the bundle of wood Amy left for us and the Solo stove we rented from here was awesome.
Site 5 - Starlight Hills Campground
in Starlight Hills, North CarolinaA hipcamp standout
Beautiful camping spots and a wonderful host. Clean bathrooms, cool showers, and awesome views. What more could you ask for?
Site 2 - The Loop at The Blind Squirrel
in Shannon P.âs Land, North CarolinaRustic setting, sort of overgrown and wild but the place had atmosphere. All hookups worked fine and it was very quiet. Nice places to hike to like the sliding rock falls and other beautiful areas. Shannon, our host, was perfect. She and the kids even brought me fresh pears they picked on their evening walk! I felt very welcome and at home.
