Past trip
in Patrick's Point River Camp, KentuckyAngelicaâs and Patrickâs place was very beautiful, right on the Cumberland River, and the hosts were kind. Our kids loved playing in the river and going on little walks on the property. The site is within 20 -30 minutes of the Cumberland Falls (a beautiful drive) and the Daniel Boone National Forest. Our hosts were very knowledgeable about the area. Most of the RV spots are on gravel and are pretty close together. If it were busy it would be tight, unless you were with a group you knew. We stayed during the week so it was not very busy and wasnât an issue. There is also a large light sensitive floodlight (aka on at night, off during the day) by the 4 main RV spots, which could be a pro or con depending on your preferences. We have a pop up camper which doesnât filter light that well so we hung up some sheets on the outside. Since it wasnât busy, Patrick did offer to let us switch to a shadier spot, but with one night of a two night stay left we didnât feel like packing everything up. The tent sites by the river looked beautiful and darker at night. There are also hiking trails on the property that we didnât get to explore much as it rained for much of our time there, but look forward to hiking them another time. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. There is a large pavilion with picnic seating and a section of pews facing a stage. We had a nice time and hope to be back to explore the national forest more soon!
Past trip
in Hilltop Home, WyomingBeautiful property and great hosts
Daniel and Nikki were so hospitable to us. The night we were camping at his place there was a thunderstorm and he made sure that we and our young son and dog stayed safe and dry. Also the breakfast burritos were so amazing! Definitely get them - among the best weâve ever had, including the vegetarian option! The property was quiet and had gorgeous views. Definitely recommend this place!

Malcolm Plantation
in Malcolm Plantation, MontanaGood stop on a road trip
Bethany S.recommends this listing.
(Dispersed site)
Quick stop right off the highway. The property was beautiful and there were four comfortable sized sites near the creek with picnic tables, which was a nice touch. We had a few questions about air quality (unfortunately some wildfire smoke) and our host was very responsive and helpful. You can hear the interstate from the sites but you are tucked down a little so you donât see/canât be seen from the highway so it still feels relatively private. It was a nice stop on our road trip!
Past trip
in Devon Allan T.âs Land, MontanaSounds of the creek, birds, & road
Bethany S.has mixed feelings towards this listing.
(Dispersed site)
A large field for tent camping that backs up to the wildlife preserve. There was a little creek at the back of the property which we enjoyed listening to and hearing all the birdsong. It is off a busy county highway so you definitely hear road noise as well. There were a couple of sites in shade - most are fairly exposed,
Past trip
in Rhoda's Joy, WashingtonUnfortunately our plans got changed and we didnât get to stay here after all. Throughout Rhoda was wonderful to communicate with and because we live in the area (Vancouver) we know Washougal is gorgeous. I canât directly recommend the property but I heartily recommend Rhoda as a host!
Bethany hasn't gone on any trips yet.
