in Starry Hot Tub/Cold Plunge Glamping, CaliforniaEllie’s spot was about as close as you can get to perfection!! We stopped just for the night on our road trip from Portland to Vegas, and then again on our way back home. The hot tub and cold plunge were heavenly after those loooooong drives. But the part that was really special was the unexpected robes and slippers that we were provided with!! The robes were SOOOO soft too! The yurt was decorated pretty! The heater kept us perfectly warm as the temperature plunged into the 30s at night. There was wifi, a shower, and a toilet too! My only suggestions would be; a sturdier coat rack for the robes (it kept falling over) and maybe a privacy screen between the main house and the hot tub so I could take off my top because being topless in a hot tub, in the woods feels AMAZING! Ooooh! And Ellie was SUPER responsive too!! Answered all my messages, from the booking date 3 months ago all the way through the actual stay, in under 10 minutes!!! I wish we could e stayed longer! 10/10 would recommend!!

Wanderlust
in Tillamook - Trask River, OregonWhat a beautiful and magical place but nothing worth dying for, as the sign warns as you come in (they’re armed and they let you know).
Pros: includes everything you need (except food, dishes), beautiful surroundings and wildlife… just magical for real
Cons: shotgun sounds on Sunday evening and industrial farm noises on Monday mornings

in Tillamook - Trask River, OregonApril E.has mixed feelings towards this listing.
Well, I made 2 reservations so it’s letting me leave another review… my first was a positive review of 9/10… not a 10/10 because of the loud shotgun sounds on Sunday evening that did not allow us to relax, which is why we escaped the city in the first place.
…. and then I got a SUPER defensive host response, focusing on one tiny part of my very honest review (that was positive and was still recommending folks stay there) and I need to point some things out…
1.) We did NOT ask for a refund, nor do we want one… so I’m not sure what the hosts are talking about there. We even left them a little “Thank You” note with some “Thank You” beers.
2.) We did not complain about the sign. We simply mentioned that it is there. (Nobody fears your silly sign… it’s just that, it’s silly… so I pointed it out. And nobody said you don’t have the right to keep and bear arms. The funny part of all this is; I’m actually armed ALL the time too… but I don’t wear a t-shirt bragging about it.)
3.) The only “complaint” we had was the loud shotgun noises & industrial noises that we heard while trying to relax… literally the only things listed in the “cons” part of my first review.
4.) I still recommend staying here just know that there will be loud noises that disturb your relaxation and clearly the hosts are VERY sensitive and easily triggered.
April hasn't gone on any trips yet.
Hipcamp Hosts can leave an optional review of their Hipcampers after the trip is completed. This is where those reviews from Hipcamp Hosts will appear.
