Being close to the bathroom/shower was convenient. My kids loved climbing the tree and we were able to hang our hammock. The sky was clear and the stars were bright.
The site is in an RV park and right beside the road, so it wasn't as private as we are used to but worked out for our last minute camping trip. River access was exactly what we were looking for. It was beautiful, cool and refreshing! Access to the electrical plug in was a nice extra. Derek was informative and very helpful when asking about kayaks and firewood.

Beautiful area close to the Medina river. Campground was quiet and very clean. Bathroom was also pretty clean. Host was extremely nice and attending. Overall, it was a great place to getaway and camp.

We had a great experience at this campground. It was a last minute booking, and worked out perfectly. Derek responded quickly to my call about check-in instructions. We were greeted promptly by George, the campground host. He was very helpful and polite. Tent site 4 is very close to the bathroom/shower which was awesome. There is a picnic table and fire ring. The tent site is close to the road so there was a little noise but overall it didn’t detract from the stay.

The place was peaceful and loved viewing the stars at night. My only issue was the water situation. It’s is advertised to have hot water showers but when I tried to turn the water heater on, the button was stuck so I had to take a cold shower. It also smelled metallic and the water fixers at the camp sight had a slight sulfuric smell to it. Luckily we brought a 5 gallon container for consumable water and most campsites don’t have water at all anyway so I would still come back.

We enjoyed our stay at this place. It was nice and quiet and clean! The river access is NOT easy access and way to low to enjoy any water time but it still does offer something for the adventurer to go down there and just walk around and see what you see or use a metal detector etc. There was a nice size fire pit and FULL HOOK UP just like the name says! The shaded spot we had, spot 1, was fabulous. Be sure bring your bug spray because those mosquitoes are assasins!! If you are just traveling through or visiting Bandera this would be a nice place to make camp!

Everything went so well. Feom the time we pulled up to the extra time they gave us to leave. It was better than expected. George was there to greet us right when we pulled up and helped guide me into my spot as he knew the perfect place to have the wheels so my door would be right on the pad. They have a clean site and bathrooms were clean as well. They had two places to access the river but you have to drive to both. There was a steep ascent to the river but not too bad. My 63 year old mother made it down. River was clear and warm. Wonderful weekend. We will be back.

The stay was decent. Had two bookings one for site 8 and one for site 5. Host had given away site 8 so we were left with 1 site and a primitive. Talked to the owner about a refund and has since blown me off and doesn’t answer the phone. Probably wouldn’t recommend this site to anyone. Also. Very little space between each site.

Small, quiet RV park, which is just what we were looking for for a quick trip! Derek and George were both very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed both recommended river locations. The river was very low....this worked out perfectly for us with two young kids. No complaints!! We really enjoyed the peace and quiet during our little getaway!

This is a public campground with a name and a sign. Its not at all as expected when using the air b and b of camping. This is just a small business starting out using this platform to advertise.

Very nice spacing. Many shade trees and lots of grassy areas . All new picnic tables. Super clean and well maintained bathrooms.

We had a great little stay at this RV Park. We had plenty of space and the area was very clean. One important note - kayak access to the river is not walkable - we ended up just not using our kayaks because of the logistics. BUT the RV site gives you access to two separate river access areas and on July 4th ( a Saturday) we decided to go to the shallow water area and we had the entire area to ourselves - unheard of on any river in Texas on July 4th. Overall great experience and a great place to relax.

Medina River RV Park is truly a hidden gem. The tent sites are a short 2 minute drive from the RV park, and are about 30 yards from the Medina River shoreline. It was awesome to wake up, walk a few yards, and take a morning swim. Derek was an amazing host... super nice, responsive, and helpful. It’s worth noting that the bathroom facility is really nice, but is located back at the RV site, so it’s a short drive. Sounds like they sometimes rent portapotties for the tent sites during busy months, and have plans to build a facility there in the near future. Even so, it was no big deal and absolutely worth the stay. Beautiful property and a great price.

Super quiet area and my site 1 was very private! I really liked that. My kayaking equipment was safe, no one bothered us just to ask if we needed more firewood. The owners are super nice and very helpful, the camp is super clean definitely happy w this camp!! Thanks y’all.

We stayed at the Medina River RV ranch for 3 nights. Derek was a very friendly host and checked on us frequently and we felt safe. Our site backed up to a see through fence and a house with a pool. I would have preferred a bit more privacy . There was a shed with a bathroom and shower that was clean and available for us to use. My biggest issue with this site was the discrepancy between the river photos and what was actually available. We drove almost 3 hours hoping for a fun river weekend and the river access we were shown was a narrow gravel boat ramp into deep water. Our group had 7 kids under the age of 8 so this was definitely not going to work. We ended up driving 45 minutes to the lake one day, and 1 hour the following day to the state park to swim. This definitely changed the vibe of the trip. Overall I think Derek has a great vision for this park, I just would be cautious if you are bringing kids here to swim.
