Brian's homestead was peaceful and quiet with plenty of space to set up and spread out. It was a pretty setting for primitive camping. We had the opportunity to meet Brian and his daughter and it was a pleasure chatting with both of them.

We really enjoy coming to camp at Brian’s. Brian is very kind and helpful, and the property itself is beautiful, with well maintained trails and camp sites. If you want to get away to middle Tennessee to explore, you should definitely check out one of the campsites Brian has! Hickory Hollow is our favorite.

Camped for two nights at Hickory Hollow and had a great time. The site is secluded while open enough to enjoy a good sized area. We were able to pull an Intech Flyer Purse into the area and had plenty of space. Brian was an absolute pleasure to have as a host and gave us a tour of the glamp site (also a nice place!). We did need to engage 4WD getting into the site since the ground was a little bit soggy on the path.
Thank you again, to our host and we look forward to camping again in the future!

As described and pictured. Brian is friendly, the land is beautiful and the designated campsite on the south field has direct access to Yanahli which my partner and kids enjoyed exploring. They have done the kindness of providing a barrel for your campfire, there was ample dry firewood for scavenging around the site.
We had hoped to miss the start of tick season (our trip was mid March 2024), but came prepared with high strength DEET and even though we snagged a couple off of ourselves and the boys, we didn't have any bites. This was not unexpected, simply mentioning so other campers know there is a lot of leafy cover on the ground and to come adequately prepared.
We did have to cut short our trip a day early due to the weather which moved up its timeline and we did not want to try to pack our 4 door sedan full of soggy gear.
Light pollution is minimal, got to see plenty of stars and clusters we don't get to view well or at all in Nashville. We had a stunning view of the ISS flyover and we saw more satellites in one night than in the years we've been gazing in Nashville, so that was also fun.
All in all no complaints or issues. Path getting back was fine when dry for our FWD 4 door sedan, though I would check with Brian if it's been soggy for a few days before you plan on going and you lack 4WD/AWD.

Brian is incredibly nice. Super good person. The land is very quiet and very safe. It was terrific to spend a lovely quiet night where my dogs were welcomed. If I were to go back again I would try the glamping tent for sure!

We had a great time! Very easy to find, the directions and instructions provided are exactly correct. We had 4 adults and 5 kids 4 yrs and under and the hickory hollow site worked great for our two large tents. Brian was very accommodating and quick to respond to anything we needed. We had a nice family walk through his property and adjacent wildlife management area to glimpse the duck river. It was an easy trek from Nashville. Our Honda minivan and 2nd 4 door sedan had no trouble getting up the hill out of the site with a little head start and dry ground. We will be back!!

Great location, great host, exactly what i needed - a night alone in the woods. This spot is super close to a wildlife management area and the Duck River. Would camp here again!!

The bell tent felt private and was the perfect mix of camping and a stay in a house.
We passed through TN on our way out west. We’ve been doing a lot of camping, so this felt like the perfect break from sleeping on the ground.
Brian has really done a lot to make this a cozy little place in the woods! Wood stove was great in January!
The site was easy to find and we were able to fill up our water jugs using his water pump — which we definitely appreciated.

This was a great experience! I had a few questions before booking and Brian responded immediately and was incredibly accommodating. Camp spots are very well laid out. Even with it being November and not a whole lot of foliage, you cannot see the other Camp spots from your spot. The directions were very clear and our spot backed right up to WMA which meant plenty of privacy. There was more than enough wood there to get us started when we got there which was very nice to see. I let Brian know when we arrived and he came by to say hello but was not intrusive. It was a wonderful experience and we look forward to camping out there again.

Host was super nice and had the wood burning stove waiting for me. Perfect quick get away for some peace and quiet in the woods. Serene. Bring something to sit on around the fire!

We had a great time at Brian's site again this year. The campsite was clean with firewood available at the firepit. He has a beautiful piece of property that allows campers to be secluded for some rest and recreation in the outdoors. We will be planning to return again next year.

The site was a nice, private spot about one hour from our home outside Nashville. Our GPS initially took us the wrong route, but we had already been warned about that and were able to “recalculate“. We had a couple questions prior to getting there, and Brian responded promptly. We also had the benefit of good weather, and we were fortunately not bothered by bugs. Because of prior reviews we were especially on the lookout for ticks, but we only found one. All in all a very pleasant experience!

This is a great glamping spot. The bed was comfortable, the stove burned hot, and the area was private. Brian provided all the firewood and was responsive to any messages - he even had fires going for us upon our arrival.
Make sure you bring your own water and cooking supplies, a self-igniting two burner camping stove was provided.
There are some paths to walk but we enjoyed staying around the fire and appreciating the fall leaves.

Our camping spot was a heavily rutted hay field right on the road. Not a word from our hosts. Neighbors dogs barked endlessly till about midnight when im assuming they were put up. Did run our underslung generator because it was 6" into dead foliage. DO NOT park in the front area if you have 2wd and its been raining, you will get stuck.

I had a great time on Brian's land, a much-needed escape from what had been a stressful couple of months. I stayed in the spot you wind up at when you veer right past the glamping tent. It had a nice fire ring and water barrel already there, which was a really pleasant surprise. I spent a great weekend being lazy with smells and sounds of nature (and some heavy machinery, but I'm assuming that was an anomaly, since no other reviewers have mentioned it previously). I also got to meet Brian and his sweet daughters when they brought me firewood. Would definitely return!
NOTE: There are ticks and there is poison ivy and oak, so be prepared for all of them.

Perfect little spot. The host was very nice and offered to introduce us to their pigs! Very secluded/private tent camping area with a fire ring.
The drive to the spot can be a little anxiety inducing if your car is low to the ground and/or tires are not in good shape. But other than that this place was wonderful. The host was also very communicative when we had questions before we arrived for our stay.
