Sitting in there with the curtains blowing the windows open the little fairy lights under the loft it was a level of relaxation i hadn’t experienced maybe never in my life before. We enjoyed the lounge chairs in the water while taking in the Sounds of Nature. We chose to visit the goats who ran up to us with the most innocent nature, they were adorable! The hammocks were so comfy .I left with more space in my heart than when I arrived.

Weekend Trip to 3 Creeks Camp and Nature Preserve

Damon was a nice host that offered assistance when needed. I stayed in the Creek Campsite and it was a joy! The property is beautiful and he has a web that was nice to sit on and look at the stars. Easy to navigate in and out of the site (even with a little sedan). Only stayed for one night, but it just so happened to be a night full of music and a light show.

We loved the cabin! It was easy to find. Elizabeth was easy to get in touch with to ask questions. The cabin itself was great, with the hot tub, the Pac-Man, The grill, and all the thoughtful amenities provided (there were toothbrushes and the kitched had all necessary cookware!) We did not make use of the firepit (maybe next time!) but there was firewood on-site if one wanted to have a fire. The only caveat I would offer others, the spiral staircase to get to the main bedroom is very narrow, might be an issue if you have larger, heavy bags but there is sleeping space on the main floor.

Great little spot! Loved the setup! The kids enjoyed all the little trails, creek, and frog ponds. The best part was all the cats! So many sweet kitties! Friendly hosts, lots of room for activity, easy to get to.

We had such a wonderful stay at this cabin! It felt like a peaceful retreat tucked away in nature. The cabin was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully set up with all the amenities for a relaxing getaway. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to cook meals easily, the WiFi worked great, jacuzzi was a nice bonus and the cabin itself was spacious and comfortable. Can’t wait to go back!

I have to say, this was hands-down the best organized, cleanest, easiest, most amenity-laden cabin I’ve ever rented. So many details, from the embroidered robes to the bound book of instructions and recommendations. From the kitchen appointments to the coffee. There are really too many amazing little things to list here, but you could really tell the owners absolutely care about the experience their property provides. And we went panning for gold in the creek below the back deck and even found a little! It was incredibly comfortable and lots of fun. Just make sure you’re ok with stairs and aren’t too large to fit the spiral to the loft. I honestly cannot think of a single improvement to make. Didn’t even matter that it rained so much, because there was plenty left to do inside.

We had a great time enjoying the glamp set up and all the wonderful amenities. It was very nice being in the woods but still close to the water. The boys loved the corn hole and walking the trail/property. That outdoor kitchen was the perfect set up for all our cooking needs. Thank you Steve for being great host. A perfect middle balance of tent and cabin for a fun outdoor experience. Everything from the location not far from the water but tucked into the woods, the activities he has available to his guest, and the host 100% hospitality was just perfect. This is most definitely going to be a return trip for future travels.

Calhoun Falls Campground

Lake Russell is very remote and sparsely developed so it is the absolute best for nature lovers and fishermen. Campground is A-1 top notch, best I've come across. Nice facilities including the store and marina.
