As a child I grew up on the river, canoeing down Red River and even playing on this very piece of property. Thirteen years ago my best friend and I started a canoe and kayak company to allow people to experience the same things that we experienced as children. We have met thousands of people and had opportunities to become friends with many of them. We look forward to seeing them every year. Six years ago we were able to purchase this piece of property for the kayak company and watch it grow into more than we ever thought it would be. It's almost surreal owning a piece of property that you played on as a kid. We are very thankful to have it and share it with others, and hope that they'll have some of the same experiences that we have had on it. Learn more about this land: Pitch a tent or hammock (where available) next to the Red River, across the river from Port Royal State Park and adjacent to the historic Trail of Tears. You can camp along the river or out in the open. Seven minutes from the interstate (exit 8 or 11 on I-24). You can fish or swim in the river, try local restaurants in Clarksville, or just hang out and enjoy being outside. If you want to make a reservation to go kayaking, visit the website Runamuckoutfitters.com Also on site is a food truck called "The Dairy Dog", open April-September, where you can enjoy craft hotdogs, tater tots, pub chips, milkshakes, and beer. If you're looking for a place to camp this summer in Warren County, look no further. Here at Old Martinsville Trail Camp, we offer several campsites for your family and friends to enjoy. Our property spans more than 23 acres of forest and open meadows and borders the West Fork of Drakes Creek. Between our upper and lower fields, you can still walk along the old horse-and-buggy trail that once led to the "lost city" of Martinsville. No matter where you choose to camp on the property, all guests have access to the creek and hiking trails. We ask that you be mindful and respectful of other visitors who may be staying at the same time. The creek is a shared area, and tents are not permitted on the gravel along the water's edge. Please set up camp along the field borders or in the wooded areas. We are just 15 minutes south of Bowling Green and only a 10-minute drive from the nearest gas station and Dollar General. We do not offer Wi-Fi, and cell phone service can be very limited near the creek. You may need to go to the end of the driveway—or even the end of the road—to get a signal. Weekend Trip to Maple Shade Farm full hookup site

We absolutely stumbled onto a hidden gem with this HipCamp stay. The property was peaceful, beautiful, and felt like something straight out of a storybook. Huge wooded trails, wildlife everywhere, quiet campsites, and the sweetest screened-in sitting area with fresh flowers waiting for us when we arrived. But what truly made this place unforgettable was the host, Ditte. She went above and beyond in every possible way. We were welcomed with a thoughtful gift bag that included homemade elderflower jam, fire starters, dog treats for our pup, and a hand-drawn map of the entire 50-acre property with trails marked out. She even brought us fresh eggs for breakfast! The trails were gorgeous and clearly loved and cared for. We saw peacocks, toads, peaceful forest paths, and little signs throughout the woods that made the whole experience feel magical and personal. It honestly felt less like renting a campsite and more like being welcomed onto someone’s little slice of paradise. We loved staying at Riney Farm! It was a short 6 mile drive from I-65, making it convenient for a stop for the night, which is what we did. I only booked the site two hours before our arrival. It's a pull through site with a wide area in which to turn out upon leaving. April warned us about their peacocks being loud at night since it's their brooding season, but they never once disturbed us. I would come here again if I was passing through the area.

I had booked this site planning around a hospital stay of family. My grandson decided he wanted to choose his own birthday and come a week early and Bobby and Courtney were very accommodating and worked with me in moving dates around, allowing me to come a week early. They met me at check in and gave great hospitality and instruction on the site utilities. I had zero issues the entirety of the stay, it's quiet and off the road with no issues. Trash is also close by and very conveniently staged on the entry road. I will most definitely return to this location as I visit that area often.

Weekend Trip to Hidden Timbers Homestead

The location was clean, organized and inviting. There was plenty for my kids to do; a swing and hammocks near our camper kept them occupied. The cats on the site gave my fiancé the animal fix she was craving, and all the connections for my camper were available. I like to have a bonfire when I’m camping, not just for the sake of a fire, but I also use it for cooking. Despite the site not having a fire ring, they were gracious enough to move a metal fire pit over so I could have a fire. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for a great place to camp!

As beekeepers we were excited to find Bee Springs Kentucky and Bee Happy Campground. Roomy camping sites though our camper is only 16 feet there were bigger ones there with plenty of room. It was clean and quiet and Christie is very responsive. The clear night sky made for some great stargazing and pictures on top of the hill.

I've been using Hip Camp for two years, and this was by far the most beautiful place I've stayed. I was met by the hosts who helped me back in and make sure everything was ready for me. Perfect level pad with full hook-ups. Only 2 sites, and I was the only one there. Very peaceful with a really pretty forest with trails behind my site. I highly recommend this location. I hope to come back someday!

3 nights at Hidden Timbers Homestead

Such a nice place to stay. The slip was easy to back into with our camper and there was plenty of room to relax. Beautiful wooded area and close enough to Nashville to visit but then return to a more peaceful place to rest. Absolutely wonderful hosts

Weekend Trip to Maple Shade Farm full hookup site

Ditte and Stan were absolutely wonderful! They met us at the site and helped us figure out our hookups. The site itself was beautiful with a firepit, a screened in area with a table, and walking trails around the property. There was a peacock that would roost in a tree by the site, so we saw him a couple of times which was fun.

Weekend Trip to The Bee Happy Campground

Loved this site! We arrived after sunset and our host called and offered us mag lights if we needed them. It is so nice and dark you can see soooo many stars! We arrived and just stargazed for awhile, we stargazed both nights actually. Our hosts were so nice! Super close to Mammoth Cave National Park! It looks like there’s a lot to do in the area, different caves and what not, unfortunately we didn’t have time for all those. I wish I took more pictures too.

3 nights at Maple Shade Farm full hookup site

Upon arrival it was everything we imagined and much more! We made great memories with our grandkids taking pics with all the farm animals. Plus Ditte, our amazing host surprised us with a jar of her homemade strawberry jam and it was so good. Clean and Peaceful! We will definitely be back! Robin and Dave
