Two burner stove top, full size microwave and refrigerator. Full size bathroom with large walk-in shower. The Gator Hut offers a queen bed with a bunk bed over and sleeps up to three people. All the cabins are fully furnished with towels and linens as well as dishes, cooking utensils and coffee pot, smart TV with cable tv and Wi-Fi is included. The Campground is fenced and gated and we are pet friendly. There is a laundry facility on site for the guests. There is a fire pit if you want to relax. In the summer we have a stock tank pool (opens in April) to cool off after a long day on the water. Steinhatchee is located in Taylor County Florida along the Gulf of America. Inshore and offshore fishing is year-round. Scallop season is June 15 to Labor Day. More than 20 springs are located within 45 minutes of Steinhatchee. Too numerous to count are the Florida Wildlife Management areas that are accessible by car and allow for bird watching and animal siting of deer and wild boar. Steinhatchee River is a kayaking, fishing and paddle boarding experience. The local restaurants/Marinas are within five minutes of the campground. Live music is available at the restaurants.

Provided are (2) single person (1) fishing single person and (1) two-person tandem kayaks with life vest. We offer a complimentary shuttle service for the 5-mile downstream Aucilla River to the Gulf of Mexico trip. This can be scheduled after your check-in. Use of the kayaks are at your "own risk" with no host liability. We encourage guest to enjoy the common areas porches at back of main house. Camp chairs are provided and can be used at the fire pit and along the riverbank. A public boat ramp is located within 300 yards north of the property and we have ample storage for you boat trailer during your stay. Other things to note: House rules for children staying at the cottage. We gladly accept children with the understanding that all children thirteen and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times outside the cottage due to its proximity over the river and being in a very natural wildlife environment. This is a strict requirement that will be compulsory. This is for the safety of your children while staying at the River Rise Cottage. We are pet friendly but do require that your pets are not left alone in the cottage. We have different size crates available, and these are provided at no extra charge in the event that you should leave the cottage and choose not to take your fur baby with you. There is a $50 non-refundable pet deposit fee for 1 -2 pets. A guest’s animal must not be: Out of control Unhouse broken. Left alone at the listing without prior approval. Edith is an absolute dream. The perfect little hidden gem in the sweetest little town of High Springs. The accommodations were absolutely lovely, from the private patio to the outdoor shower, and the much appreciated ice-cold AC in the summer! I will absolutely be back for more “me” time. Highly, HIGHLY recommend!

Weekend Trip to Bowman's Landing

The hosts and co-hosts were kind folks. The property is right on the river and the river is beautiful there. There were nice trails in the woods to walk and saw some deer too. So pretty and peaceful. They have two docks far enough from each other that you can float on a tube for about 15 minutes and easy walking distance through their trails back. Super cute place! Thank you Bowman's!

We absolutely loved our weekend in Cabin 2. The tiny cabin feel was perfect for our family. Our toddler truly enjoyed seeing deer on our morning walks and the river access gave our dog a safe place to cool off. The tree swing was also a big hit for us. Quick drive to Ichetucknee Springs which was beautiful. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Es un sitio apartado del bullicio, las redes sociales, los teléfonos la Internet ahí te encontrarás con tu paz mental y la naturaleza nos quedamos en la cabaña ocho. Lo único que no me gustó que el baño lo teníamos un poco alejado y empezó a llover y no tocó comer comida frisada porque la parte de la leña y el carbón estaba afuera y no no tenía techo pero por todo lo demás un sitio súper mega tranquilo los dueños, increíblemente personas educadas y correctas. Si quieres desconectarte, te lo recomiendo al 100%

I love bowman’s landing! We usually tent camp, but we decided to try out the cabins this time. They exceeded our expectations. Clean, cozy, well equipped with anything you could ever need! We floated and swam, had tea on the dock in the morning, dinner next to the fire. Already planning our next trip for Sept! :)

2 nights at Mingo Acres on the River

Perfect private spot. So quiet, and beautiful. We saw so many different animals, and the most lubbers we've ever seen in 1 spot, so neat. AC is super cold for amazing sleep after a hot summer day exploring. Bathhouse is a great addition. Looking forward to a trip in the fall! Alligator warning sign helps a lot! 🤣

John was able to accommodate us fairly last minute and we had such a great stay! The camper was clean and very cute. We loved the wooden walkway to the outdoor shower and there was even a fenced in area for our pups!
