Zero overhead hazards on property, ex. no overhead power lines or tree limbs. Excellent fishing on both the Lavaca Bay/ beach side, and the marsh side of the property. Bird enthusiasts will love the Magic Bird Sanctuary located directly behind the property. Bring your binoculars to get closer to the action. If you are looking for space, relaxation, beautiful scenery and the chance to wet a line, this may be the place for you. Carly's Bait and Boondocking will soon have a small bait shop. Until then, your host will provide you with bait, fish, and crab traps that will be located in the marsh. Feel free to take as much bait from the traps until the actual bait shop is up and running. I can't wait to return. This is a quiet, beautiful, scenic area, and Marc is a gracious and helpful host. If you like to walk, the road is quiet, scenic and perfect for strolling or getting in some cardio. The bay looks like the Gulf of Mexico with its long, expansive view, and the morning sunrise is over that water body. Gorgeous coastal beauty is in every direction. I felt safe and at home on this piece of paradise and the surrounding region.

A truly wonderful campsite. Felt very private and spacious, the creek was lovely to be able to walk down to (about 30 steps from the campsite), great land, skull tree was very cool- felt like a museum of local animals but on a beautiful tree, was very safe, and was a great site for our dog. Would definitely recommend staying here

We really enjoyed the creek! It was a beautiful area. Our only issue was the sticker burrs at our site. My dog kept getting them in her paws, and ended up limping quite a bit throughout the weekend. But that’s just the way that area is. Not the ‘fault’ of the host at all.
So if you have pets…or littles…be mindful of the sticker burrs and their little feet.

If you want a camping trip with personality, this is it. Loved the 'spooky-cool' vibe of the 💀 "Skull Tree" 💀 and the quiet peace of the river. Coyote Corner was a great setup with plenty of room for a big tent and a perfect fire pit for s'mores. Alana made the whole process easy and welcoming. Highly recommend! 🏕

Awesome place right next to the beach. Plenty of space to stretch out. Have to watch out for the sand burrs here and there but you'll have that with sandy areas. Very peaceful and just the stay we were looking for!

This was an amazing place - secluded, peaceful, and beautiful. I fed the turtles and fish in the creek a few yards away. Skull Tree was magical. I had to leave early for a personal emergency, but I'll definitely return. Hope you get to enjoy it!

We had a great time! Lots of space at Coyote Corner for a large group and Skull Tree is a pretty cool more intimate spot with a lot of shade. There was a nice peaceful spot to sit overlooking the creek. Outhouse was solid and had a solid toilet to sit on, very clean. It was nice seeing the cows up close and our dogs had a blast out there. Alana was a five star host and went above and beyond to take care of our needs. We look forward to booking there again soon.

Was a great experience at the skull tree. Loved how many butterflies were around and the creek was nearby. Such a secluded site which id exactly what I wanted. The outhouse was also very convenient. Only issue I had was some noisy neighbors at the coyote corner that were playing loud music until 2ish in the morning.

Great spot for family camping. The property is easy to access (we have a fwd minivan) and there are plenty of places to set up a tent. There is a nice field in the front and trees to the rear of the property. There are plenty of stores within a 15 minute drive in case you forgot any supplies. Kristie was very accommodating and answered all of my questions before the trip. Highly recommend you check this spot out! We are definitely coming back!
