This was an amazing place - secluded, peaceful, and beautiful. I fed the turtles and fish in the creek a few yards away. Skull Tree was magical. I had to leave early for a personal emergency, but I'll definitely return. Hope you get to enjoy it!

We had a great time! Lots of space at Coyote Corner for a large group and Skull Tree is a pretty cool more intimate spot with a lot of shade. There was a nice peaceful spot to sit overlooking the creek. Outhouse was solid and had a solid toilet to sit on, very clean. It was nice seeing the cows up close and our dogs had a blast out there. Alana was a five star host and went above and beyond to take care of our needs. We look forward to booking there again soon.

We had a wonderful experience. The grounds were gorgeous and the perfect disconnect we were looking for. We loved that the property had horse, cows and a lot of armadillo. It was a short walk to the river. I'd definitely stay here again.

Was a great experience at the skull tree. Loved how many butterflies were around and the creek was nearby. Such a secluded site which id exactly what I wanted. The outhouse was also very convenient. Only issue I had was some noisy neighbors at the coyote corner that were playing loud music until 2ish in the morning.

Great spot for family camping. The property is easy to access (we have a fwd minivan) and there are plenty of places to set up a tent. There is a nice field in the front and trees to the rear of the property. There are plenty of stores within a 15 minute drive in case you forgot any supplies. Kristie was very accommodating and answered all of my questions before the trip. Highly recommend you check this spot out! We are definitely coming back!

I was for sure comfortable. Secluded with plenty of land, shade, & the river just across the fence. It really felt all to myself.
There’s a pit to cook over fire, a table, shade at the above area & a cool shaded spot near the water.
I felt relaxed, with much comfort from all the nature.

We are Hiker trailer MRXL 5x9 camper owners which is made for off grid camping. James’s campsite was a fantastic spot to set up camp. The campsite was clean and well taken care of. We will definitely return. Due to the recent rain the Guadalupe River was high with a crest at 28 feet. We look forward to returning so we can enjoy the river next time.

As a gentle Texan breeze rustles through the cattails of Lake Texana, it almost sounds like they’re are calling your name -- if your name is “whoosh whoosh.” If it’s not, you should still come check this park out, seriously. Stocked with bass, catfish, and crappie, Lake Texana is an angler’s paradise -- bring a fishing pole and we pretty much guarantee you’ll be grilling some fish for dinner. For the fishing-adverse, try taking out your kayak or canoe on the lake’s designated paddling trail. The 1.64-mile trail winds around the still, sleepy coves that edge Lake Texana Campground. Back on land, while away a hot Texas day by hiking beneath the shady oaks on the park’s six miles of trails. Be sure to keep a lookout for wading shorebirds and soaring eagles; the park is known for excellent bird watching. And when the sun starts to set over the lake, you’ll have the perfect view from your waterfront campsite. So what are you waiting for?
