Our peaceful 20 acres has a good mix of woods, wild meadows and maintained cleared areas as well as a small pond, all of which can be explored via our nature trail. Enjoy the sounds of nature and an incredible night sky.
FIREWOOD and seasonal farm goods are available for purchase at a self-serve stand (several payment options available). There is also a wonderful sauna on the property that can be reserved (go to sauna to reserve a time).
Great hiking, kayaking, biking, birding, fishing, swimming, and disc-golfing opportunities just a few miles away at Paint Creek State Park and the Highland Nature Sanctuary. Amish country is also just 15 minutes away with a great bakery, markets and greenhouses. This area is home to an impressive network of ancient earthworks including the world famous Serpent Mound.
Our accommodations range from primitive tent-camping to "glamping" in one of our tiny off-grid cabins. The sites are spaced out for privacy and each site offers a private picnic table and fire pit. There are two shared privies/outhouses which have basic composting toilets (not flushing). A grassy parking area is provided near the road, however, ALL SITES ARE WALK-IN (with the exception of site #1).
***Please take note that this is private property and the host lives on site. If you are looking for a place to be loud and party into the night, this is not the place for you. If you are looking to spend some quality time in nature, welcome. There are rules.

Visiting the Hocking Hills ? No interest in crowded campgrounds ? you have found 75 acres mostly wooded with trails. Close to and easy access from US 33 There are 4 primitive and secluded campsites around the property for tent camping. I can transport you and your gear to the remote sites. ATV's and Horses are also welcome on the property. Firewood will be provided for free and in abundant amount. The site on top of the hill is a very secluded and mowed crest of hill surrounded by dogwood trees and the invasive Autumn Olive bushes, making this the most desirable site for getting full body sun, and shade when wanted in complete privacy. The site above the rxrwinery.com is a secluded, mowed clearing in the mature woods, making this a preferred site for privacy, shade and easy access to the winery. There are also 2 sites in the valley that allow you to be near your vehicle, one out in the open sun and near the driveway while the other is in the coolest spot on the property with a very nice rock formation to admire and secluded for privacy. While on my property, clothing is optional but respect for other campers is expected. Hiking the trails naked rarely encounters other people. Sunny Rest Skyview can accomodate an RV with no hookup, generator is allowed. This is a valley and may get soft after heavy rain. Please keep wheels near the lane if there's any question to the ground conditions and maneuvering your vehicle, please contact me. Apple product GPS will not get you to this location, use the pin on Google Maps.

There is one designated primitive campsite at Bigfoot Pathway which is designed for vehicles offering a unique lower level for setting up your tent and area for a campfire with plenty of other space to enjoy.
Also we provide primitive dispersed tent only camping areas in our back woods.
Firewood: we provide your initial firewood, with more available on-site.
RV/Campsite Hookups: WE NOW HAVE ELECTRIC HOOKUP!!!!! Septic and Electric and Water hookups are ready and available at the Cherry Tree and Outlook Haven sites!! all three stages 50 amp, 30 amp, and also 110v/20 amp.
Water and Bathing: Guests can access water from our outdoor spigot for potable water. For bathing, please bring body wipes, towels, and a pan to warm water over the fire. A Portable toilet is available for all campsites in campground area.

We loved camping at Hilltop over Halloween weekend. We went hiking in Hocking Hills on Saturday and had trick or treaters and decorated and won the best decorated contest! Karen was very thoughtful and had breakfast on Saturday morning. The only thing that I would change is the site itself. Some weren’t level but we adjusted our camper to be level. Bath house was great and clean with showers. We loved the dog park all fenced in at the top.

Paul Bunyan Campground is a no frills excellent Campground for full hookups close to a rail trail. Directions are confusing, but when you check in at the lodge as requested they will give you a campus map and it'll take you right to the campground. It appears there are other campsites that are no hookups, and there is definitely a dump station. A whole lot of service for $35 a night.

Great views and a amazing lake trail. Everyone was very helpful and kind. This place is located 15 min from so many beautiful places to hike. It was a perfect Basecamp and refuge from the storms.

Best campground of our six week Rv trip. Beautiful hill with so many activities, panoramic views, lake access plus kayaks, private trails. Also you can have tents at an Rv site which was very nice for our group of five. But honestly the best thing was the owners our Rv broke down in the storm and they came out to personally help us then referred us to a traveling tech when our issue ended up being more severe. So incredibly polite and helpful.

Beautiful campsite with a really nice view of the hills. We were a little nervous that it was going to be crowded pulling in when we saw just how many sites there were, but we felt very private anyways. Site amenities like the fire pit and picnic table were very nice and it was super easy to rent kayaks and go out on the lake.
Overall very nice and typical good campground experience but what really impressed me was the managers’ behavior on checkout day. Our RV wouldn’t start so we were unable to vacate our site on time. We told them what was going on and offered to pay for another day but they wouldn’t take a dime and even helped us get a technician to the site to get us out of the bind. They were genuinely some of the nicest folks I’ve met in a long long time and they really helped us out of our jam. Lovely lovely site. Can’t wait to be back!

The sites were clean and tidy. They were a little close together, but everybody around us was very respectful and quiet by bedtime. The amenities were all clean and very nice. We would definitely go back.

Nice place close to shopping close to hiking bathrooms were spotless staff were all very nice friendly very family safe we stayed on 42 full hookup the site and a few others had recently been worked on so still muddy on a few . Site was flat enough but for the extra $ I would take a pull through it has paving under the tables bit nicer ! The pull through your door faces east the back in site 42 was facing west it was a hot sunny few days could not sit on that side. The place had a couple play structure for kids nice. You are on the top of the hill nice view.

Nice quiet location. Still a bit off season so not many people around. We fit nicely on the pad with our 31 foot class C and car. Minimal leveling needed in our site. Great location close to Logan, Hocking State Park, and Nelsonville. We visited the Jack Pine glass studio and the Rocky boot outlet. Everyone at campground was friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean which definitely wins points with me!!
