Come spend some time with us on the Beaverhead River! Our small family wants to share our slice of heaven with you all.
The RV Pad is 27 ft long and can typically fit up to a 45 ft trailer. A 30 AMP hookup is available with water supplied and a waste hookup available.
You will need to provide all of the waste disposal/sewer hose necessary to hookup to the waste disposal as well as your electrical cord to hookup to the 30 amp outlet.
My husband and I live on the property with our 1 year old and our mid size dog. Dogs are welcome with the understanding that the property is not fenced in and that our dog may establish some boundaries with your dog as she is an unfixed alpha female. We live in the log cabin next to the the RV pad and are currently renovating the house on the property. The RV pad is about 100 feet from the Beaverhead River where you have full access to recreate and fish. This property is on the eastern edge of Dillon and just upstream from Selway Bridge. Many birds migrate through here in the Summer time and are a joy to watch on bank of the river. There is a large fire pit on the property that may be used as long as it is not very windy out and you put the fire out after you are done. I will tell you that you cannot have a fire if it is too windy.
The property is next to a property with horses and we have have few chickens that roam around our property. I do not want you on the property with dogs if they are going to go after the chickens or if they are obnoxious barkers.

We really enjoyed our time on this property. It is a true taste of off grid living. It is not an in town rental, but instead your experience will be far from town with the comforts you still enjoy. Elk will keep you company when you wake up in the morning. The bathroom has a unique experience that just has to be seen to understand that is very enjoyable. The host provides a very hospitable experience. I would highly recommend and also recommend enjoying all the back roads that are accessible from this cabin.

We had a great stay at Doug and Shannon’s cabin! Located close to Salmon, but still remote and private. We stayed plenty warm in the cabin, and enjoyed the swing by the water. Would definitely recommend and would stay again next time we are in the area!

This was a very cute and homey cabin, perfect for a weekend getaway with my boyfriend. He originally wanted to camp, so even though the cabin is rustic, it was perfect for us. I especially enjoyed sitting on the loveseat on the porch. And having a coffee maker! The hosts were so friendly and welcoming.

We loved the green tractor for pics! Waking up to the beautiful stream sounds was lovely. Holly is very communicative and helpful. The property is beautiful although I wasn’t sure where the property lines were so I hope I didn’t intrude on someone’s land. We missed the pigs though.

1 night at 4D Ranch
We had a late arrival, and an early morning, but after we settled in, this was such a dreamy stay! It was an adventure to get there in the dark, and we were careful on the rocky road up to the spot. Our host recommends a higher clearance, which is necessary.
The sky is so big up there! Wow! The stars!!! The tipi was very cozy, and the bed was super comfy. ... And the morning - the coyotes yipping in the distance, a screech owl, the expansive view of the mountains in every direction, sunset colours with the tipi in the foreground... it was truly a one of kind experience.
Our only regrets is not having more time relax and enjoy, or use all the amenities, like the outdoor shower (it has hot water!).
Our host was so wonderfully accommodating as we scrambled to make arrangements. Thank you for everything! And for sharing this beautiful chunk of Montana with us.
(And ps. We loved Anaconda too... such a charmer of a town!)

This was an amazing camping experience. We were the only campers so had the whole grassy area to ourselves. It is right on the river and there are a few other public river access spots nearby so we checked out all of them. We biked up the mountain and around town as well — there is a school playground a block or two away that my kids (ages 4-9) liked. The spot is at the end of a small town (Melrose)—so not in the middle of nowhere, just FYI. The piggies were the best part! They’re such funny creatures and we enjoyed getting to know them. Holly is such a nice person and obviously cares about her guests and pets! Definitely recommend.

Lovely quiet spot. Easy to access. We stayed up in a site tucked into the sagebrush and loved the solitude. Even with a 28’ trailer it was pretty easy to get in and out. Would definitely look to stay there again if we swing through Butte.

This was an awesome spot to get away with the family. Holly was a great host and her property is top notch. Easy access to fishing and lots of activities, plus a great treat getting to visit the pigs. We had excellent cell service at the site and the town of Melrose had a few food options when cooking wasn't in the cardmla. Definitely recommend!!

This was great! I personally fly fish more than I should, and my wife is an animal lover! The best of both worlds!

Holly, the host, and her entire family were welcoming, friendly and fun to chat with!
This spot is perfect! Highly recommend you stay in the Silo! As this is almost and exact half way point for a trip that we make often, we definitely will be coming back!

30 ft fifth wheel
Clean and quiet. Close to Ringing Rocks and tons of ATV trails. No hookups but water is available at a spigot. Sites are graveled and have a picnic table, a couple of chairs and a fire pit. Watch out for catus if you get off the established roads and gravel pads. We camped there on 8/6/2025 with a 30-foot 5th wheel. Rigs of any size are OK. Most sites are back-in, but a couple of sites are pull through. Don't be surprised when you see the extra cost for the HipCamp fees.

Adventuring in the largest national forest in Montana should definitely be added to your summer (or winter!) to do list. Activities abound in The Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest, including wilderness trekking, scenic drives to killer views, camping among smallish forest sites, downhill and cross-country skiing in the winter, lake fishing, picnicking, and exploring historic wild-west ghost towns in the summer. You can also check out parts of the Continental Divide trail which crosses through this park, and cheer on thru-hikers in the final stretch of their epic journey. You may just have to flip a coin to decide between the plethora of outdoor fun in this 3.35 million acre forest. The choice is yours, all you have to do is pick one and get going!

Camped pretty far into the Canyon. Slept outside on the ground by the river and was beautiful. Lots of wilderness to explore and hike, would recommend having a firearm since there are the occasional mountain lions and bears

Potosi Campground was quiet and scenic. Most of the sites have enough space between neighbors. The host was very friendly and dogs are allowed but on leash only. There is a natural hot spring pool within hiking distance, however, we did not have time to explore that.
