Learn more about this land: You'll arrive at our barn and home, probably greeted by a variety of animals. Walking past the pond and through the field towards the tree line, you'll arrive at our tiny cabin situated on a hill with the salt marsh below. The cabin is furnished with a full sized futon, a wooden bench, beehive working woodstove, and shelving. There are candle lanterns provided, however we suggest also bringing a few flashlights. Depending on the season we have farm vegetables and eggs available, kayaks available upon request to use to explore the salt marsh and harbors right out in front of the cabin. A short drive and you can find numerous hiking areas and beaches or take the longer 1 hour and 15 min ride to Bar Harbor. The cabin is not visible to the main house, though sound may travel. You'll have a beautiful view of the water facing west for sun sets. We access the water and trails around the fields foraging for berries with our kiddos and dogs, along with rotating the grazing animals and will provide ample space to respect your privacy. A small gas grill and cooler can be provided, Cabin has no electric or running water. Water can be accessed from the main house and/or barn pumps depending on season, however will need to be brought down to cabin. Outhouse is located nearby.

A very sweet and rustic Hemlock cabin, along with secluded 17' and 14" bell tents, plus 2 private campsites sit along beautiful Webb Brook. Walk through the large open field, away from everything, to this storybook setting. All you can hear is the waters of the brook rushing and sounds of nature all around. Graham Lake is just a stone's throw away. Great for kayaking, fishing, and swimming. This magical place is just beyond our farm where we you can buy fresh chicken and duck eggs daily at the house. In the cabin, upstairs, a lofted queen bed accessed by a sturdy wooden ladder. Downstairs, a wood stove with dining area, and living space with full sized convertible bed. No electricity, no plumbing, no wifi. Good cell service. Composting toilet and water tank for use inside cabin. Gas grill and firepit with tripod grate outside for cooking options. Two large picnic tables for outdoor dining. Truly a magical place. The campsites and secluded 2 bell tent sites are hidden away along Webb Brook, sitting among the pines and hardwoods. A port-a-potty available for all guests' use. Almost 9 acres of land to explore and discover, as well as Graham Lake just a walk away.

Tiny A-Frame Cabin on a personal wildlife preserve! Located a mile from the Passadumkeag River and three miles from the Penobscot River! Quiet Space! Come enjoy a 'Piece of my Peace!' Meadow Vista and Garden views With Composting Toilet, No Electricity and No Running Water! • The wall does lift up and down so you can be closed in if it rains but I leave it open most of the time to allow air flow. • There is a fire pit and two chairs available at the cabin for you to cozy up or cook your food. If you would like a wheel barrow full of firewood provided there is some available on site for a small donation. • There is a hammock with a shade cover at the cabin for you to use. • There is a bug net provided in the cabin if you're in need of some extra protection indoors. • Sunkhaze Meadows National Wildlife Refuge is a short drive with a few hiking trails. • Baxter State Park & Acadia National Park are each an hour and a half away (just in opposite directions). • A composting toilet is on site, with a scoop and bucket of sawdust to cover waste. I you need to pee, find a tree! If it's number two, use the loo! • No electricity at the cabin or on the property • No running or potable drinking water. Must bring in water. • The cabin is quite cozy for 1-2 people and/or 1-2 fur babies. The cabin itself has an 8x10’ floor plan with a full size futon. The deck gives another 3’ to enjoy your inside/outside stay. • The property DOES get full sun so be aware of finding shade throughout the day! I like to enjoy the river(s) and explore the area during the peak heat hours! • Mosquitos like to come out at dusk. One dog considered, must be leashed at all times. Dog owner responsible for clean up and any damages incurred. The Whiting Store (real country store) is located about 3 miles on Route 1 North. Hannaford in Machias Maine is about 5 miles south on Route 1. Directions to the boat launch......take a left from your driveway, the boat launch is about 300 feet on the right hand side and is marked by a driftwood sign that is marked BOAT LAUNCH. Campobello Island, New Brunswick Canada is 24 miles away from the camp. Please remember to bring your passport for admittance to Canada. You’ll fall in love with Orange Lake, the rocky Maine coast and its amazing history.

Adults-only camping (18 or older) — no dogs allowed on the property. Cabin: One cabin is available with electricity but no water. It features two twin beds, a refrigerator, microwave, outdoor grill, and cook plate. Due to the remote location, electricity may be interrupted occasionally. Primitive Camp/RV Sites: Two primitive camp/RV sites are available with no water, electricity, or dump station. Each site has a picnic table and a screen tent, which is necessary due to black flies, mosquitoes, and horse flies common in the area. Viking-style Longhouse: The longhouse is available for gatherings, events, and similar uses. It does not have electricity or water. Water Access: There is no pond or stream access on the property; however, many ponds and streams are nearby and can be reached by vehicle via logging roads. ATVs are not allowed on logging roads. We are approximately 40 miles from Ellsworth or Brewer and about 70 miles from Calais. About the Campground: This is a no-frills campground offering a peaceful and quiet setting to enjoy the remote Maine woods or to use as a base for exploring this beautiful part of the state. The longhouse has been used for family gatherings, board game weekends, and meetings. We do not allow children or dogs at the campground, as we aim to provide a quiet retreat for guests seeking to relax and enjoy the Maine woods. The Cabin is 75’ from Old County Road and 200’ from the parking area. A cell phone booster is at the campground which works good and runs all the time and no wifi or power at the cabins off grid. Shower is located at the cabins. We are located 2 miles from Route 1 Milbridge and about 2 miles from Route 1A Milbridge and we just fixed the Old County Road and the parking area and the road is settling from being fixed but low cars have been making into the parking area with no problems. The paths are primitive and not suited for people who have trouble walking on uneven ground. We provide solar lights, propane stove, propane, natural bug spray, battery bank charger, 1 small bottled water per guests and sleeping bags. Heat provided from Oct 1 to April 30. No Out of State Maine Firewood. No water at the shower from October 15 to April 30 because of the frost.

We have an inviting, cozy 2-bedroom cottage on Flanders Pond. The sunrises are fabulous, there is a private dock with kayak and canoe in the summer, hammock hanging between the shade trees, firepit for evenings outside and lots of stargazing to do! With a full kitchen to cook some delicious Maine food and a spa-like bathroom to soak in the tub or shower before you head to bed, you will be well rested and ready for the next adventure. The downstairs bedroom has black out shades and a closet to hang your clothes. The upstairs bedroom has dresser for your clothes, a skylight for stargazing as you drift off to sleep and eye masks if the moon is too bright or you want to sleep past sunrise. I guarantee you will want to be up having a cup of coffee on the deck watching the show the sunrise puts on. We have a designated workspace for those who must bring work with them, and Wi-Fi to get connected. This was my first Hipcamp and it was great. The cabin had everything we needed and though it definitely got cold, as we were visiting in mid-November, a fire and plenty of blankets kept us warm through the nights. This is a lovely little camping and so peaceful!

I enjoyed my stay at Twin Bucks Cabin. It was nice and clean and the bed was very comfortable. An electric heater kept it warm even with temperatures at night in the upper 30s and there is also a secondary heater for when it gets really cold. You have electricity to keep all your things charged. There is no WiFi but with my cell carrier I had a good signal and could get online that way no problem. So it was warm, cozy and comfortable. Very quiet (with an occasional owl or loon calling!) And the hosts checked to see if I there was anything at all that I needed. Great place, great hosts!

Super helpful hosts and a nice Hipcamp. It is as advertised for the most part being a rustic cabin. We've stayed in many rustic cabins through Hipcamp. A few things to note: Even though there is a woodstove (we used every night to keep us warm) the cabin does not hold heat because the walls to the cabin have large gaps so we had to use 4 bundles of hardwood a night to keep it comfortable at night (temps in the 20° to mid 30°s) We were somewhat prepared because we knew it wasn't insulated but we were not expecting the amount of heat loss due to all the gaps in the cabin. There are other campsites on the property which are a good distance away (some within sight) We got a little freaked out by a group of campers walking up to the cabin at 10:30 at night and waking us up. (Definitely not the host's fault) but just be aware it's not the most secluded. Being in the cabin it was a little quieter but this spot is off a main road so there is a bit of noise from that but definitely not something that would completely deter me. The host was very helpful when we mentioned that we'd like to drive up to the cabin. They told us we were not able to do that (I'd just suggest taking that as an option off the listing because we chose this site in part because of that having 4wd) but they offered to help us bring our stuff with another wagon attached to the owners tractor which was very nice. The cabin is equipped with everything you would need for rustic camp: pots, pans, water, utensils.

What a wonderful cabin! Make sure to enjoy the warmth of the wood stove while you hear the sounds of nature (and the occasional train). Not for those who need electricity, wifi, cell service, or running water, but if you want to get off the grid whole being less than an hour from the nearest large town, then this is for you.

Bill and Carol were excellent hosts! They made us feel very welcome and made sure we had enough firewood to stay warm. The downeast is a stunning location to visit. Bill and Carols location is just 30mins from Cutler coast, machiasport, eastport and everything in between! lots of nature to explore and some great restauraunts too! definately a great location off the beaten path with more than you expect to be offered. We will be back!

I stayed one night at Carol's cabin and enjoyed it a lot. It's peaceful and the two bucks are there too, which is funny and gives a sense of history to the place. With electricity to recharge your phone, wood to start a fire, a barbecue to cook and heat to warm the chilly nights, you'll have all you need to be happy in the woods. Carol is very responsive and can tell you what to do in the area depending on your interests.

We loved camping on Carols property. The cabin was cozy with 2 twin beds that were comfy. She provides some reading material so you get to know the area and have some ideas of what to do. The night time was super quiet, there are no sounds other than the sound of a loon calling from a across the water. If you want to get away from it all and find some peace I would recommend staying at Twin Bucks. Carol was very responsive and accommodating. We plan on staying again in the very near future!

We loved Sienna’s sweet lodging in the woodsy glen, and stayed an extra day to enjoy it. She was responsive and helpful throughout our stay and has thought of every detail inside the cabin and around- the bed was very comfortable, the outdoor shower delightful and we kept the side lifted for most of the day. We will definitely return and are telling all our friends about this wonderful spot!
