The primitive area is as such, gravel, grass, sand terrain accessible by a one lane gravel drive that leads over the hill and around the cliff to the riverbank. This drive is absolutely passable however is left bumpy to keep traffic at a safe speed as pedestrians also walk the drive. It is passable by any vehicle as long as the vehicle is not overloaded beyond its ability and/or has an extremely low profile. Any area that is not an actual campsite is left to nature, not manicured, trimmed or sculpted. As you’ll find all the sites are clear please don’t expect micromanaging of wild growth of our native plants in areas around the sites as we reserve those areas for the wildlife to enjoy. Please consider all the above mentioned details, primitive campsites are not for everyone and that’s ok.

Bring your clubs! Guest access Guests have a private cabin all to themselves. I have a very friendly dog of my own on the property who free-roams. Also, if guests leave their pets in the cabin while they are gone, the pets must be crated. Inside the cabin, the bathroom is equipped with an Incinolet toilet. I find that it is quite efficient if used properly. Instructions will be given upon arrival and are included on the wall in the bathroom. We can only accommodate TWO guests at a time in the cabin due to the Incinolet's capability.

Patrick's Point is a great campsite. Options are available for tent camping, cabins, and really cool treehouse sheds. Great birdwatching, kayaking and just enjoying a peaceful place. Very clean and well-maintained. The hosts are so friendly and live on-site if you ever need anything or want to hear a good story. Order the Costa Rican breakfast--you'll be glad you did.

Carriage House II ia a wonderful place to enjoy the magic of Kentucky. The hosts are accommodating and friendly to visitors. I appreciated the peace of this place and the sounds at night were enchanting. This is a place to come back to!

This is our 2nd time booking this site! We love it! We love the privacy and peaceful atmosphere! Great for kids and adults and we will be back again! Bridget was awesome, we did have a medical emergency and she came and met with the EMS and made sure we were okay or if we needed anything!

We had an absolutely wonderful time here! This place far exceeded our expectations, and the photos simply can't capture its true charm. You really need to see it for yourself. It’s a true love nest. If you're seeking a space that combines simplicity with elegance—where you and your loved one can feel secure and secluded—this is it. The only thing I’d suggest is adding Wi-Fi, as there's no cell service here.

Bridget was an amazing host me and my family will definitely be back ! The views are gorgeous! Here are are the plus : if you are a normal Hipcamper you will know that some glamping options are better than others. This is one of the good ones! There were little items that helped smooth our trip over Expecally with 4 kids! Pots, pans, seasonings, etc. Multiple cooking options from griddle, stove & fire pit! Now here are the things to look for, gps cuts off halfway down the road but Bridget was able to help us navigate to the property. Few outlets to bring a surge protector (we did) If you have kids, entertainment lol. And if you’re worried about temp, the heat was KICKING. lol but we had a great time and loved the area. Will be back!
