Our space is totally private, fenced in, and features a clean swimming hole with a beach!  About the property Our property is near Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park and Lake Okeechobee.  If you’re looking for places to visit for the day or services nearby, you can head to Okeechobee, which is only 20 min away. Lake Placid is only 40 min, Vero Beach is only 1 hr, and Melbourne is 1 hr 30 min.  All of the listed locations offer great opportunities for fishing, hunting, swimming, and beach hangouts. Each of the sites allows for watching the livestock, hanging out at the watering hole, and sitting around the communal campfire. Our favorite things about our property are privacy, amenities, and all of the roaming mini livestock throughout the property! Your hosts do not live onsite however, will be available to you during your visit. We are friendly and as non-invasive as we can be. We do love meeting our guests and are available for any questions that come up. Our primary purpose when developing this property was to create a safe space for children with special needs and their families. We are a no judgment zone and adhere to Hipcamp's inclusion policy. About the listing: This listing is for a day trip, or a back-to-your-roots, overnight tent camping trip. Guests will choose their dry-camping location after a tour of the property. During certain times of the year and certain times of the day, there are a million bugs! We stay inside during these times. We are 25 minutes from Okeechobee City, the bass fishing capital of the world, 45 minutes to Fort Pierce, & 35 miles from Sebring International Raceway. The Kissimmee Prairie State Park is very close by. The prairie is the darkest part of Florida. Astronomers, bring your telescopes and cameras to capture the night. You will possibly see cows, bobcats, wild turkeys, wild pigs, armadillos, birds, or the neighbors dogs might show up. Don’t worry, they are quite friendly. We have a 50 amp RV Hookup with NO septic and plenty of space for primitive camping. Bring your horse, but there is no paddock or barn. The storage building on the premises is not part of the rental, please leave it alone. There is electricity and non-potable water. The water is safe for teeth brushing, washing dishes, and showering, but it does have a very strong smell of sulfur. There is an outhouse. Please use it sparingly & only flush toilet paper provided. There is an outside sink, an outside shower with no privacy, a picnic table and a fire pit. If you come with your RV, please use your RV toilet. There will be a major fine for any septic dumping. 1/3 of the land is cleared and 2/3 is full of mature oak trees and trails. It is fenced with barbed wire fencing. Please keep your food trash in your cars & take it with you. You do not want to attract predators. You can recycle, or throw away any trash that is not related to food in the garbage can. Keep an eye on your small dogs. There are also snakes and predatory birds. It is hard with words to describe the beauty of this property, so please check out the pictures. Happy Camping!

We producing a delicious raw honey just for us, not selling, you can see some working bees. We have some fruits trees like bananas, oranges, lemons, limes, mangos, avocados, that maybe you are luck and are in the season when you arrive, and yes, you are allowed to pick it if in season. Also you are more than welcome to bring any fruit tree and plant here during your stay. You can watch an amazing sunrise and sunset that are memorable. At night you can prepare delicious s'mores, bring your stuff and gaze into the night sky filled with stars like you've never seen. There is a social area with hammock, relaxing chairs, fire-pit, outdoor open shower, barbecue, table. Bring more chairs if you are a big family. If you like fishing, bring your stuff and you can fish at the water canal that are in the back of our property, we already got some delicious yummy Tilapias. The water that we provide come from a well, we use filters to purify it and use as shower and hose, but bring your drink water. You can bring your UTV and ATV to ride over here. If you are in a mood for a horseback, we can share a contact of a lady that bring them to our property, must be arranged prior to visit. Talking about outside the ranch, you can see our neighbors with orange farms, dragon fruit plantations, passion fruit plantations, bamboo plantations, ostrich farm, chicken farm. The town of LaBelle offers a lot to do and you must visit some places like LaBelle Nature Park, and Barron Park, we love to go there afternoons after grabbing a pizza. Talking restaurants, we can recommend our favorites, like a Italian restaurant, Mexican restaurant, a Brewing co, and a delicious Pelican's SnoBall shaved-ice snow cones that we are addicts of it! We are located 30 minutes from town, no stores or gas stations close by. Please come fully equipped with your own utensils, cooking essentials, food and beverages. We're also within 50 miles away of Estero Beach and 44 miles of Fort Myer. Bring sunscreen and a hat, we are in Florida and it is always super hot over here during the day. Don’t forget the bug repellent and a sweater, sometime the temperature drop during night. You may want a flashlight or headlamp for walking around at night. Flat, soft grass. We came to watch the meteor shower and the few street lights in the neighborhood was a bit sad. But thanks to cloud cover I didn't see many anyway. The ponies were cute and the pond was a vibe. Would camp again if I was in the area.

I had the pleasure of being the only camper there when I went and the privacy was incredible. His 25 acres include a watershed that creates a beautiful creek. All the property surrounding him is cattle pastures so you do not have to worry about running into any human neighbors. The hermitage cabin was perfect. I mostly spent my time wandering the property but when it was time to sleep the cabin provided me a safe place to stay and the box fan worked all through the night to keep me cool despite the hot, humid Florida evening. Dennis was a lovely host and showed me the features of the property upon check in and helped make sure I had a fire started before he went. I would highly recommend staying on Dennis’s land.

Great place to visit if you are not found of modern life, if you really want to know how to live life with simplicity, you really need to visit this place. Big thanks for Dinesh. It shows how life supposed to be. I am very much found of nature so I really don’t care about facility at all. Where you have nature you don’t need comfort. Just prepare your mind. This is great place to spend some good time with nature. Thank you very much for Dinesh hospitality.

Weekend Trip to Lake Okeechobee RV Park

Stayed in Bungalow 7. Clean and comfortable. The kitchen was nicely stocked as well. The AC worked amazing which was needed during our trip. Easy check in and out. I would definitely return. I am by no means a “camper” and I felt very comfortable here. Even if you’re a discerning traveler, this will fit the bill if you need a clean, comfortable place for a night or two.

1 night at Harmon Pine (Tent Campsite)

We were excited to learn of the app first and foremost and was able to book an immediate campsite wven at such a late hour . Dany was very welcoming , made sure we found it easily . We had a 4x4 Jeep Cherokee ( big tires and lifted ) so the sand he mentions was bot bad at all . Very nice and private set up . Loved that it had little marked trails , firepit and off grid restroom room . I always enjoy those added perks . Very quiet area and the sky watcher views were awesome . Highly recommended , And again , thank you Dany 😊

Weekend Trip to JB Resort

My second time staying here and we were the only ones there. It was so nice and relaxing. W rented the camper trailer and totally enjoyed it. Even went out to an early dinner with the owners on Saturday and met some local friends of theirs. The hosts were very hospitable a well.

Weekend Trip to J and P Creekside Retreat

Our entire family had a wonderful time at Creekside Retreat this weekend. For the children (ages 4, 5, and 8), every moment felt like an adventure. They kayaked together for the first time and loved exploring nature-- watching birds, turtles, and all the wildlife around them. The property seemed designed for our enjoyment: a trampoline, the hammocks, the swings, the magical lights that came on at night, and the safe walking paths where kis could explore on their own. For us parents, it was the perfect escape from the busy city: a peaceful place to disconnect, unwind, and truly enjoy the beauty and tranquility of nature. John is an exceptional host. He was always available to answer questions, guide us around the property's many beautiful areas, and make sure we had everything we needed. His hospitality made our stay effortless and even more enjoyable. We left feeling refreshed and with wonderful family memories. We highly recommend Creekside Retreat to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway surrounded by nature.

1 night at Blue Fox Ranch: Lake & Farm Camp

The place is peaceful. The sites are spread out and picturesque. To reach the unlabeled farm gate you will pass through a crowded manufactured home and trailer park. Don't worry! The directions are clear. The gate is mock-locked, which wasn't noted in the directions, so it took us a few minutes to realize. We'll retuun next time we take a trip!

Outhouse is very nice!! Dany’s property is the best of the best in Hip Camp tent camping 🏕️ Follow directions for location and landmarks. Super private. Super stargazing (no light pollution). Shady with mature trees 🌴 and feels like a garden. Day long shade for your vehicle.

We loved our stay at J and P creekside A frame cabin. As a reptile lover I'll probably be the only negative review for not seeing a gator, but there were many tiny lizards that could be observed at any time of day outside playing and chasing eachother. We would love to come back with a larger family group, the place was quite, private, and well maintained. I definitely recommend staying here!

We had a very nice and very clean and neat campsite. The view of the orange grove was perfect. We thought their entire place was extremely well-cared for. The pool was great and there are lots of gathering areas. It's quiet at night, just what we like. The hosts are very nice! We'd stay again.

3 nights at JB Resort

We had a fantastic 4th of July there. This was the 3rd time there and am already scheduled for 3 additional trips. The hosts Bolton and James are great, the grounds are meticulously maintained. We did not use the hot tub this trip but spent lots of time in the pool. Other campers and local friends came to join the festivities and were so much fun.... A great time for all!!!
