Just a disclaimer; Sebring Raceway is 7 miles away and if the wind is right you can hear the cars racing, also, lake Istokpoga is big for airboats so we do hear them running some. We offer both 30 and 50 amp electric, along with water and septic hookups. Maximum length 35', please call if longer. We're centrally located to many attractions like Disney World, Universal Studios, Legoland, and many other unique options. First time RVer? We're on site and will be happy to help you get parked, set up, and show you how to use the hookups. By the time you leave, you'll be a pro! Once you're settled you can sit outside and soak up the sun or enjoy a quiet meal at your own picnic table while watching the birds (you may be lucky enough to spot the Painted Buntings!). There's also a grassy area to let your trained and friendly dog(s) stretch their legs and get some play time in. When you're ready to venture out, you'll find great local "hole-in-the-wall" eateries along with your chain restaurant favorites. We're close to adventures of all types like Bok Tower Gardens, Legoland, several state parks, canoeing/kayaking, great fishing, paddle boarding, skydiving, Sunshine Flea Market, and the Spook Hill Mystery Spot. You can also opt to catch a movie at the local theater or take a tour of the Florida's Natural orange juice factory. If you're up for a 45-60 min drive you can also visit several of the attractions often featured in "weird Florida" guides including Solomon's Castle, Gatorland, and Monument of the States. And let's not forget, the more well-known attractions, Disney World and Universal Studios are also conveniently located about 45-60 minutes away. When you're ready to stock up on supplies, we're near gas stations and grocery stores (don't leave without trying the famous Publix subs). There are also coin operated laundry options near by. If you need it, there is a reputable RV tire and service company about 10 minutes away. Join us for a night, a few days, or even a week. Our space is totally private, fenced in, and features a clean swimming hole with a beach!  About the property Our property is near Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park and Lake Okeechobee.  If you’re looking for places to visit for the day or services nearby, you can head to Okeechobee, which is only 20 min away. Lake Placid is only 40 min, Vero Beach is only 1 hr, and Melbourne is 1 hr 30 min.  All of the listed locations offer great opportunities for fishing, hunting, swimming, and beach hangouts. Each of the sites allows for watching the livestock, hanging out at the watering hole, and sitting around the communal campfire. Our favorite things about our property are privacy, amenities, and all of the roaming mini livestock throughout the property! Your hosts do not live onsite however, will be available to you during your visit. We are friendly and as non-invasive as we can be. We do love meeting our guests and are available for any questions that come up. Our primary purpose when developing this property was to create a safe space for children with special needs and their families. We are a no judgment zone and adhere to Hipcamp's inclusion policy. About the listing: This listing is for a day trip, or a back-to-your-roots, overnight tent camping trip. Guests will choose their dry-camping location after a tour of the property. Amazing campsite! Very secluded with excellent privacy. The owner was incredibly kind and helpful, going above and beyond to accommodate us and our kids. The site was clean, well-maintained, and cozy, and our kids had a blast with all the campsite had to offer. Our kids love fishing, so this was an awesome spot for them. We also purchased the firewood add-on and were given plenty, which was much appreciated. We will definitely recommend this place to friends and look forward to coming back again.

My family had a great time at John’s camp and we were all sad to be leaving. The place was clean and well stocked. John was friendly and there if you needed him but, we never felt like we were being watched. My husband and I loved being able to take our daughter on the kayaks (which were a great price), my daughter loved the trampoline and plethora of swings, and our dog loved being able to lounge on the deck with the occasional visit from John’s dogs. Overall could not recommend this place enough if you’re looking for a quiet getaway especially if you enjoy being on the water.

My dog Marty and I had an awesome stay at Shell Creek—it’s truly a touch of old Florida! The campground sits right on a beautiful freshwater creek, and the peaceful setting made it easy to relax and enjoy nature. We stayed at Creekside Site B, which had a great view and plenty of shade.The hosts were fantastic—welcoming, helpful, and made sure everything was just right. My group of four people and three dogs went tent camping for 4 days over thanksgiving break. We including the dogs had an amazing time! We got to rent canoes and go up and down the river. We found so many shark teeth and after we rented the 4wheelers got to ride all the trails around the camp. April and Kendal were very responsive and kind they helped with anything we needed. The camp farm animals and dogs were a great addition we adored them the outdoor kitchen and very hot showers were amazing too it was an all around great trip!!!

The setting is peaceful, but it’s also alive with the sounds of farm life and wildlife. You may hear roosters, dogs, owls, frogs, and the usual country activity from nearby neighbors. Come enjoy the peacefulness of nature and a night sky full of stars.About the propertyOur property is close to Vero Beach to the south and Melbourne to the north. We are not far outside of the town of Fellsmere where you can find some restaurants and services if needed.Our property is great for hiking, biking, local fishing, or hanging out with our farm animals. There are trails to be found less than a mile from our property but you can also head to Sebastian Preserve for hiking or over to Stick Marsh for fishing.Your hosts are onsite and we like to meet campers and just get to know them a little. Then we leave the campers alone unless they need something :)About the listingOur property has two sites that can accommodate tent camping or van/truck camping and we look forward to welcoming you. Please keep in mind that if you are brining a van or truck camper the maximum length we can accommodate is 20 ft. We do not have any hookups at this time so you will be dry camping or tent camping only. The surface of the sites is grassy and does need some leveling if you’re in a van.
