Please note we have different site types with different prices and capacities. Choose the type that's best for your group.
We are outside of Bear and Marmot areas, so no Bear cans needed here. However, we are not far away and nature is wild and can be unpredictable sometimes, so please keep food in your car at night as a precaution. We have not had issues and we don't want to invite any!
Hot showers, flushing toilets, deep sinks for washing and WIFI (over 70 mps in many places for you teleworkers) now available for all campers at no extra charge!
ARRIVAL:
THERE ARE 3 GATES HERE:
RIGHT GATE: just to the right of the Giant Sequoia Tree with address sign, goes to the CAMPSITES! Look for ORANGE CONES a few feet off the highway and drive down camp road about 600 feet to the camp.
MIDDLE GATE: RV1 and RV2
LEFT GATE: house, please DO NOT ENTER this gate or the house.
DIRECTIONS:
If you put our address in to navigation apps, sometimes it brings you to our neighbors (fire department) for some reason, even after multiple emails to google...if this happens come south/down hill about 600 feet and look for the ORANGE CONES on the same side of the road. Drive between them and down camp road to your site! (There is a pic of the site map in the posted pic's)
Go to Google Maps (NOT GOOGLE SEARCH). Search for Sequoia Mountain Farms Campground.
Navigator apps sometimes push folks coming from the south up the 245 highway. It is a very windy and slow climb up the hill. It is doable (even for bigger rigs), but we HIGHLY RECOMMEND continuing north on highway 99 towards Fresno and then heading east on highway 180 up the mountain. It's faster, much more scenic and a much smoother drive. This route also goes right by the nearest gas station on your way up!
Heading east on highway 180, out of Fresno, the last gas station is a Valero at 35468 E Kings Canyon Rd. (aka Clingan's Junction).
From Clingan's, head east on the 180 for exactly 13.8 miles to the 245 highway (it comes up quick with only 1 or 2 small signs), make a right, heading south. If you hit the park entrance, you went too far, turn around drive back about 5 min and look for the 245 on your left.
Once on the 245 heading south, go 5.1 miles. On your right you will pass the 'Pinehurst Lodge', which is on google maps, an easy reference point and is 1 minute or less away (great food, bar, pool table and karaoke on weekends in the summer!).
Then a few seconds later the U.S Forest Service "Work Center" is on the right and we are just past that on the same side of the road. First you will see a Giant Sequoia Tree in the front yard (campground road is just to it's right with ORANGE CONES on either side) then an apple ranch with an ole loggers cabin chimney from the late 1800s still standing in the front yard directly off the highway! If you hit the 'leaving sequoia national forest' sign and the community center, you went too far, turn around and drive 1 minute back and look for the apple ranch on your left, pass it and turn left at the ORANGE CONES.

We are outside of Bear and Marmot areas, so no Bear cans needed here. However, we are not far away and nature is wild and can be unpredictable sometimes, so please keep food in your car at night as a precaution. We have not had issues and we don't want to invite any!
Hot showers, flushing toilets, deep sinks for washing and WIFI (over 70 mps in many places for you teleworkers) now available for all campers at no extra charge!
ARRIVAL:
THERE ARE 3 GATES HERE:
RIGHT GATE: just to the right of the Giant Sequoia Tree with address sign, goes to the CAMPSITES! Look for ORANGE CONES a few feet off the highway and drive down camp road about 600 feet to the camp.
MIDDLE GATE: RV1 and RV2
LEFT GATE: house, please DO NOT ENTER this gate or the house.
DIRECTIONS:
If you put our address in to navigation apps, sometimes it brings you to our neighbors (fire department) for some reason, even after multiple emails to google...if this happens come south/down hill about 600 feet and look for the ORANGE CONES on the same side of the road. Drive between them and down camp road to your site! (There is a pic of the site map in the posted pic's)
Go to Google Maps (NOT GOOGLE SEARCH). Search for Sequoia Mountain Farms Campground.
Navigator apps sometimes push folks coming from the south up the 245 highway. It is a very windy and slow climb up the hill. It is doable (even for bigger rigs), but we HIGHLY RECOMMEND continuing north on highway 99 towards Fresno and then heading east on highway 180 up the mountain. It's faster, much more scenic and a much smoother drive. This route also goes right by the nearest gas station on your way up!
Heading east on highway 180, out of Fresno, the last gas station is a Valero at 35468 E Kings Canyon Rd. (aka Clingan's Junction).
From Clingan's, head east on the 180 for exactly 13.8 miles to the 245 highway (it comes up quick with only 1 or 2 small signs), make a right, heading south. If you hit the park entrance, you went too far, turn around drive back about 5 min and look for the 245 on your left.
Once on the 245 heading south, go 5.1 miles. On your right you will pass the 'Pinehurst Lodge', which is on google maps, an easy reference point and is 1 minute or less away (great food, bar, pool table and karaoke on weekends in the summer!).
Then a few seconds later the U.S Forest Service "Work Center" is on the right and we are just past that on the same side of the road. First you will see a Giant Sequoia Tree in the front yard (campground road is just to it's right with ORANGE CONES on either side) then an apple ranch with an ole loggers cabin chimney from the late 1800s still standing in the front yard directly off the highway! If you hit the 'leaving sequoia national forest' sign and the community center, you went too far, turn around and drive 1 minute back and look for the apple ranch on your left, pass it and turn left at the ORANGE CONES.

We took our three young kids camping at Camp Hye Sierra this past weekend (three nights total) and had a wonderful time! My older two kids, ages 7.5 and 4.5, especially loved going out in the canoes. We saw so many animals, including a large turkey family, deers, hawks, woodpeckers, and even found predator tracks (thinking mountain lion based on size). We visited Kings Canyon NP one day and planned to visit Sequoia NP the next day but decided to just hang around camp instead. We’ve already told our family about this camp and want to return with a larger party in the future :)
Also, shoutout to Chris, the camp groundskeeper. He was so helpful and super responsive! With young children, we asked if we could set our tent away from the lake and he turned on the electricity by the arts and crafts pavilion for us. We appreciated that so much so we didn’t have to worry about someone wandering to the lake without an adult.

The couple that runs Lemon Cove were so friendly and helpful. It's a beautiful spot, with excellent amenities. The rv pull through sites are a little closer together than most regular campgrounds, but all our neighbors were quiet and respectful so it didn't make a difference.

Loved camping on this site, the hosts were kind enough to provide a lamp for us to turn on and off as we like. Tons of space to place a tent and lots of space to dig for using the restroom as well. When going up to the ranch to dispose our trash it was beautiful and the trash cans were very easy to find. There was also a little faucet that they provided on site as well which was a nice surprise. Overall great experience and would come back! Thank you Michael!

Teresa was so attentive to detail and making sure we made our way ok and had enough fire wood due to the excess from trimming on the land. She and her whole family and animals were so sweet and awesome to be around. And we enjoyed visiting the beautiful creek, and the sequoia mountains during our stay. It was mostly peaceful, aside from one neighbor who was playing music into the late hours. And the turkeys goblin 😹 So if you’re a light sleeper, be prepared with some foam ear plugs just in case.
Overall, we’ll return to this beautiful place, and recommend you stay for a visit!

The property was nice and the hosts were kind. All of the hookups were functional throughout my stay. The road leading to their driveway has a few low hanging branches, so be cautious driving the last mile.

We were lucky enough to meet Cheryl and Randy after they were done working in the field. Cheryl told me the history of the area while Randy gave a tour of the tractor to our daughter. The land was beautiful but the hosts were the cherry on top of an incredible visit. We would visit again!

We had an amazing stay. The space was peaceful, perfect place to relax and unwind. Dale and Mona were incredibly welcoming, atrentive, and thoughtful hosts who truly care about their guest. Atmosphere felt safe, comfortable, and inviting. Highly recommend this campsite to anyone looking for a great outdoor getaway. We will definitely keep on coming back!!!

this site worked well both as a first night out campsite on my way down to Tucson from Southern oregon, and then again on the way back. There is not too much available camping along the I five and 99 corridors so this site helps to fill that void. Since I am a van camper, I appreciated the restroom on site. I had a peaceful nights sleep both nights I stayed.

We happened to find this beautiful spot when we were coming from Bakersfield. We had intentions on carrying on through three rivers to another site , but this lake was too stunning. We set up camp by sunset and begun enjoying the serenity immediately ! Aside from a few swiping cars passing around the lake all you will hear is the sound of birds all evening and frogs at night. It is $20 for two people to camp and you get your own fire pit and picnic bench. Showers are not that inviting but if you're brave , wear shoes and you should be fine . Flushing Toilets and running water here . Highly reccomend
