Our family owns 40 acres of land in the forest set a ways back from the main road. We have a family home here as well as lots of land to explore and enjoy. There are trails into the neighbouring properties (however some are a bit wild and overgrown).
We're close to many things such as the Skybridge, the Wolf Sanctuary, the beautiful rivers and waterfalls down in the Blaeberry, the lakes around the area and up the ski hill. There is lots of whitewater rafting, mountain biking and paragliding in the summer. In the winter it's an amazing backcountry skiing area or go up the Kicking Horse Mountain resort.
Our site is private and secluded. Further down the road is our house where we are doing lots of building and construction so mind the mess if you do go for a wander.

We had such a lovely stay! Claire was very responsive. All of the directions to manage the treehouse were clearly outlined and the treehouse looked exactly like the photos! We came during the winter time and there was an abundant amount of wood to keep the tent warm! Overall, we had a beautiful stay with everything we needed.

Absolutely phenomenal experience. Claire provided clear, thoughtful, and detailed instructions and information every step of the way, from our questions prior to booking, to the instruction booklets on site that ensured a stress free stay. The property itself was very easy to find and navigate, and the treehouse was absolutely magical. You can feel the love and care that the hosts have put into the property in every detail, and we felt as though they covered every aspect of comfort we could possibly ask for, providing plenty of wood, blankets, and simple, but much appriciated amentities. The treehouse is also within comfortable walking distance from the parking area but is still private, which allows for the most breathtaking and scerene viewing of the mountains and birds in the area. I can't say that I have ever stayed somewhere that has compared to this, and would easily choose this experience over any luxury hotel, even considering our snowy morning. Our only regret is that we only stayed one night, and would definitely recommend booking two or more nights so you can take advantage of the hiking trails and appreciate it too it's full extent!!

The tent was a good size (for the 2 people it was booked for), the projector was top quality and a really good addition. Ended up watching a film and some tv to fall asleep to, which was great.
The tent and bed were clean, and the utensils were sufficient for our short (3 day) stay.
As someone who doesn't camp often, I was impressed with how inoffensive the smell of a composting toilet was.
Only slight issue is that the water in the hot tub was a bit green, but appreciate that this may be caused by the water supply!
Overall a great stay, and if im back in West Canada, id definitely stay again

Dwayne’s land is awesome. He has a fire pit on each camp site and the areas are level for the tent. There’s the sound of a river, that lulls you to sleep at night. The bathroom is clean and close by. I think it’s probably one of the best hip camps I’ve ever stayed at.

The campground was easy to find with lots of amenities and fun activities to keep busy with. We stayed at site #5 which was clean and private with lots of surrounding trees and a good size for my large SUV and a pickup truck with our kayaks.
We chose to explore the wetlands on our own but I wish there was more information/signage readily available for where to park, doc, and kayak as we didn't get a chance to speak with anyone from the campground while we were there. Using the electronic maps provided on the website and messages with the hosts, we were eventually able to figure it all out and had a lovely kayaking journey.
The worlds largest paddle was beautiful but again, not much signage and could easily be missed driving by which would be sad as it was a cool stop. Next time we stay here we will definitely check out the disc golf course, walking trails, and the slip and slide pond.
All in all this would be a great place to stop whether you have kids or are adults looking for a fun weekend adventure.

10/10 would recommend. Claire was great to communicate with and is clearly an experienced host based on the clarity of instructions and the little details included in the cabin to make the experience as smooth as possible. Amazing views from the roof, private space, and less than 10 minutes to Golden.

Weekend Trip to Sauna Under the Stars Camping
I love the GlamperVan! We only stayed the night as we were passing through but I could see myself spending more time here someday. Nicole was incredibly communicative and easy to chat with. Dane, the campground manager was super friendly and helpful too which was fantastic. The place was easy to find from Golden, and once we were on the property it wasn’t hard to follow the signs to the van. The campsite was already set up for us when we arrived and had everything we could possibly need for the stay. Yes, there were lots of mosquitos but you have to expect bugs in the woods! Just a fantastic stay and a great place to get away! Thank you for having us!

About
Glacier-clad mountains welcome campers in Canada’s Glacier National Park, not to be confused with the U.S. park of the same name in Montana. Accessed via the Trans-Canada Highway and set near Rogers Pass, the park’s primary campgrounds are in a relatively flat area of the park and prime starting points for treks along wildflower-studded trails to reach snow-covered glaciers. Backcountry campsites are also available with a permit. Near the park’s western entrance, the Hemlock Grove boardwalk trail encircles towering trees located in an interior rainforest.

Tips for snagging a campsite
- Glacier National Park has 13 campgrounds scattered throughout the park. Reservations can only be made in advance for the Fish Creek, Many Glacier, and St. Mary campgrounds. All others are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Campsites can be reserved up to six months in advance online. Reservations fill quickly, so make sure to book well in advance.
- Most first-come, first-served campgrounds fill quickly, so arrive early for your best chance of scoring a spot. You can also check the Glacier National Park website for up-to-date campground status information, including the times at which each campground filled the previous day.
When to go
The best time for camping, hiking, and sightseeing in Glacier National Park is July through mid-September. Going-to-the-Sun Road typically opens in late June or early July and stays open until late October, although these dates strongly depend on weather conditions. Cyclists like to visit before the road opens so they can bike the road without traffic. September through early October, when the trees change colors and trails are a bit quieter, is a great time to visit. Apgar Campground is the only campground that remains open in winter.
Know before you go
- The park offers dump stations but no hookups.
- Showers are only available at the Fish Creek, Apgar, and St. Mary campgrounds.
- Glacier National Park is bear country. All food, garbage, and toiletries must be stored in your vehicle or campsite bear-proof storage lockers when not in use.
- Using the park shuttle is a great way to avoid dealing with parking at popular trailheads. Plus, vehicles longer than 21 feet are prohibited between Avalanche Campground and the Rising Sun Picnic Area on Going-to-the-Sun Road.
- There are no gas stations in Glacier National Park—fill your tank in West Glacier or St. Mary.

I would stay here for the proximity to the hikes and waterways that make GNP so special, but only if no other options were available. Without any views the campground lacked the sense of place that some of the other campgrounds in the area with views offer. Our particular site felt like we were camping in an overgrown field - unkempt and not very lush which is surprising considering the other sites in the area. It also seemed crowded and did not offer much privacy.

This spot is incredibly beautiful, surrounded by picturesque mountainscapes with glaciers visible from the campsites. The campground has a spacious and friendly vibe. We enjoyed walking to Many Glacier lodge where we hopped on a boat ride to a hike through the glaciers. While all of the campgrounds we saw and stayed in while visiting the national park were beautiful, some of them did not offer the overwhelming views that this one does, giving you a true sense of place. This is not just another campground - when I go back I will definitely be staying here again, for longer.

We camped here in early October. We had our pick of campsites when we arrived around 6pm, but this was likely because there had been a snow storm the day before that closed much of the park, including Going to the Sun Road. It still became decently full of other RV/van campers by the end of the evening, even with the colder temps.
Campground is wooded, so it feels hidden from the road, although you do still hear some thru traffic. All campsites were clean. Each has picnic table and fire ring. Location is great, right across the road from Lake McDonald which is beautiful at sunrise and sunset.

A fantastic campsite in quite possibly the best area in GNP. While long lines plague the St. Mary and West Glacier Entrances on Going to The Sun, the Two Medicine area serves as a refuge for those looking to ditch the crowds while still getting those beautiful Glacier mountains. Great backpacking trails are easily accessible for this site as well, and if you're looking for a long day hike look no further than Dawson Pitamakin Pass, regarded as one of the best hikes in the Park (permit required)!

Great views of Lake Mcdonald. Unfortunately being so close to the West Glacier entrance means a lot of cars will be passing by. Regardless, the small beach access makes this place unforgettable, definitely a top spot in West Glacier for camping.

Absolutely beautiful location. Be warned: the water is cold at almost any time of the year, so swim at your own risk. Regardless, if you're lucky enough to have clear waters, the reflections of the mountains is near perfect.

Our family of 5 (three kids, two adults) stayed at Bowman Lake in mid-July. The general info you can find on-line is accurate...Bowman is OUT there on dusty bumpy roads, the lake is 100 yards from the campsites, and it's generally pretty quiet. A few other bits:
The hosts are great. They'e have a welcome tent with info on bear activity, trails, forest fires, fauna, and a set of kids toys.
The lake is clear, rocky bottom, and very swimmable. Get in!
Easy trail access from the camp. But if you want to drive Road to the Sun or hike the more popular trails, expect a 45-1 hour drive from Bowman to get there.

The Many Glacier entrance of the park provides access to a separate section of the park containing a nine mile road, hotel, inn, the Many Glacier campground, and many hikes. This campground is typically full all season long but somehow we managed to nab a site. So thrilled!

We loved camping here. You definitely get some road noise, but it fades in the evening time. Our site had a clearing where we could sit in the morning with our coffee and enjoy the amazing view. We camped at the end of August and were the first ones there on a Saturday - all the spots were claimed by about 7:30 am I think.

This is a beautiful campground that, when we went, was completely empty. There was one electric site available. The sites were spacious and beautiful. One interesting thing to keep in mind is that cows Roman to freely throughout the campground so there were Cow pies to be dodged. Despite that we enjoy Ourselves immensely.

Two Medicine Campground was such a pleasant surprise for our trip to Glacier National Park. We were relying on a site what was first come, first served, and we had heard that Many Glacier and Rising Sun are the best because of their proximity to some of the most famous attractions in the park. By the time we arrived to both campgrounds, they were completely full. We made it to Two Medicine around 12PM and found the PERFECT site just one minute from the lake. The views of the mountains from the site were incredible. We ended up spending our whole trip exploring the Two Medicine area - including hikes around the lake, renting a motor boat (kayaks and canoes also available) and taking a boat tour. Highly recommend Two Medicine campground.

Oh Two Medicine, where do I begin? This campground is heavenly. Each spot is very well sized, with lots of privacy offered by the trees. Try to get one of spots 33-36. They're just bordering the edge of the lake and all you have to do is walk across the road, and then you can sit lakeside. We stayed in spot 34 and it was one of my all-time favorites. The campground is a bit off the beaten path, so it's not nearly as busy as some of the other areas of the park. Bighorn sheep love to come through the sites so be careful with your trash and food. In late September, there was no running water, just vault toilets. Be sure to hike around Pray and Two Medicine Lake, it's about 8 miles and gives you the real lay of the land.

If you're coming to Glacier, make sure to camp here at least one night. It's very popular so make sure to plan ahead; we camped here in late September and every spot filled up. In the off-season, or at least when we were there, the water was turned off and only the vault toilets were available. If you're camping in that time of year, make sure to bring in your own water and firewood! Everything kind of shuts down by then. In the summer there are flush toilets and water spigots. The campground is perfectly situated for accessing some of the greatest hikes in the park. We crossed over Swiftcurrent Creek at the back of the site to begin the hike to Grinnell Glacier, one of the most scenic and stunning hikes I've ever been lucky enough to do.

I really loved this campground, however, it is a popular campsite. In the busy season it is worth going early to get a spot for the night. I camped here in 2016 and if I remember correctly, there are no reservations.

Pack a rain fly, rain coat, waterproof pants, shoes, etc... Weather changes insanely fast and it sucks to be stuck in a downpour! Beautiful campground if Going-to-the-Sun Road is closed halfway through the park.
