Vehicle site · Sleeps 6 · Vehicles under 13 mThis site is designed for large self driven RVs or pull behind trailers. Easy pull through parking. It is also perfect for tent campers. Lots of flat space overlooking the huge pond. If our other camp site is booked you will be very happy with this one.
This is one of three camp sites on our 200 acre parcel of secluded rural farm land. The sites are a 1/2 mile apart and you can't see either site from the other.
What's it like parking here? There is no one else parked next to you. No one else's blaring music or camp fire smoke, or noisy kids to listen to. You will hear only birds, insects, coyotes at night, maybe geese, ducks, turkeys calling, foxes barking, bats chirping, frog croaking, wild cats, yes they are here also. You will only hear your music and natures music. It is a unique RV location just for YOU alone and secluded.
Full DISCLOSURE, this is a former natural gas well site. It is flat and has an easy access road. However there is some pipeline piping sticking up from the ground that is behind where you would park. We think the benefits of solitary parking out weight the pipe line hardware. If you are curious you can walk right up to it and take a-look. It is no longer in use but we still find it an interesting artifact of our societies endless need for energy.
We have a working pasture based farm where you can see how grass fed beef, pork, and chicken are raised (including pasture-raised eggs). Campers are welcome to visit our web site and order your meat and eggs, red house ran ch. net. We have a large selection of fresh eggs and various beef, pork, and chicken cuts for your camp cooking.
Campers are welcome to place on line orders and we will deliver them to your camp. Try our fresh eggs and various beef, pork, and chicken cuts for your camp cooking. There's nothing quite like fresh eggs and bacon after waking up to the sunrise over a fog-filled valley. While we are a working farm, much of our property is not grazed or farmed. You are welcome to explore the entire area while also getting a glimpse of sustainable, grass-fed, farming methods.
In addition to hiking trails with incredible views, there are four ponds on the property. One is very large and suitable for swimming and paddling. The other three are smaller and are primarily now wildlife habitat. We have seen golden eagles, blue herons, coyotes, turtles, wild turkeys, foxes, bob-a-links, deer, and great horned owls all on our land! It's the perfect spot for wildlife enthusiasts and bird watchers. Additionally, each pond is easily accessible with mowed paths and one pond has a dock that can be used for fishing or just relaxing by the water. Our area has little light pollution and excellent star visibility, if it's not cloudy. It's also not uncommon to hear coyotes howling every night.
If you're feeling adventurous, there is also a more strenuous hike down into the creek bed where you can find miniature versions of the gorges and waterfalls that our region is known for. We are happy to provide maps and guidance or leave you to your own devices. We just hope you enjoy your stay as much as we enjoy living in this beautiful Southern Tier/Finger Lakes area.
