We provide a refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, oven with stovetop, dishwasher, and kitchenware to make your stay comfortable. You will be blown away by the mountain and creek views. A hiking path leads up to an overlook with a swing — the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee and watch the sunrise. We are 15–20 minutes from Indian Mountain ATV Park (with space to park your trailer) and less than a two-hour drive to Birmingham, Chattanooga, and Atlanta. Visit Gadsden (~35 minutes) to explore Noccalula Falls Park, especially beautiful with Christmas lights, or Fort Payne (~an hour) to explore Little River Canyon and Desoto Falls. We also have a raised-bed vegetable garden that guests are welcome to harvest during their stay. Our property offers especially stunning views in the fall when the leaves are changing. The property spans both sides of the bike path at mile marker 9 on the Chief Ladiga.

Running Water Creek is a unique, fully off grid campground just 20 minutes to downtown Chattanooga. We have 80+ campsites spread out over 120 acres. Most of the roads are accessible in any small car, but some roads require 4x4 (they're marked with a sign). We have a bath house with toilets, showers, and sinks and even offer hot water! Our well and cabins are all solar-powered as we are not on the electric grid. Some info about the property: -we DO NOT have water or power hookups -we have gravel roads with a 5 MPH speed limit on the property (if you drive too fast the roads will seem rough) -we are right next to a highway and train tracks so there will be some noise (some days are better than others and we have no way of predicting how many trains will/will not go by) -none of our campsites have picnic tables (please plan accordingly) -most campsites have fire rings built, but if you choose a site without one you need to build your own

It is located eight miles north of the small town of Heflin, Alabama, which is about an hour and a half from the metro areas of Birmingham, Alabama, and Atlanta, Georgia. For example, an easy, straightforward drive down I-20 West makes Turkey Track Retreat a perfect quick weekend getaway for Atlanta residents looking to escape the city noise. The cabin is surrounded by hundreds of square miles of forest. To the west, directly behind the cabin, there are over nine miles of continuous forest before reaching a hard-top road, and beyond that, over six miles to the next road. To the north, there are over sixty miles of continuous forest to the next road. Pinhoti Trailheads are nearby. The ten acres is mostly forested, and all surrounding properties are similarly wooded. The back side of the property is bordered by a year-round creek. There are two open meadows, one of which is a pawpaw orchard. Trails and a covered pavilion are located down by the creek. In season, you can enjoy blueberries, blackberries, and muscadines. Because the property is so remote—and because the surrounding areas adhere to International Dark Sky standards—you can enjoy spectacular stargazing on clear nights. Weekend Trip to Mountaintop Farm Cabin

The owner was extremely kind. The trip ended short due to the extreme heat (105 degree temps) and a dry well. The cabin is charming and had amenities for those that forgot items. Curling irons, hair dryers, extra razors, and enough cozy throw blankets to snuggle our entire tribe. The tour of the property was fun and the view was par none. We will be back. Thank you so much for our adventure, even if it was short.

I traveled from California to take my grandkids camping. George was an amazing host!!! He was communicative and flexible. when plans had to change due to medical stuff. The site was well designed and surprisingly well equipped. The camp kitchen had all the basics plus. I have a trailer with all my gear so I was grateful to have all the items forgot readily available. The cabin was bigger than expected. We spent a rainy afternoon playing games and napping. Great combination of convenience and real comping!! We will be back!!!

My bestie and I spent two nights at Fireside Camp in the Cabin on the Bluff, and it was such an incredible experience. Nick and Sydney were perfect hosts! The cabin was clean, cozy, and comfortable, and the views from the bluff were absolutely unforgettable. I highly recommend staying here if you get the chance. Amazing place. Perfect mix of outdoor experience while keeping amenities like a kitchen, shower, indoor cabin for those less accustomed to camping. We got to see some really cool birds too, heard some owls at night. And great price too. Would definitely return

We loved this site. It has everything you’d want in a perfect campsite. Horses, running water, a fully stocked kitchen, secure and private bath/shower, creeks and trails, multiple fire pits, cute fluffy kitty, electricity. We were so impressed with the custom touches and clever functionality of the kitchen and cabin. Perfect for a group. Oh… and bonus points for the tether ball.

Very convenient to Lula Lake Land Trust. Having the bathroom/shower was great, and the electricity & “kitchen” at the barn was nice. I’d suggest that you still bring some of your own cookware, rather than assume everything you may want to use will be available. Also maybe bring something large enough to warm up some water, so you can effectively use it to wash dishes; the sink in the barn has only cold water.

Weekend Trip to Fireside Camp + Lodge

Nick is an amazing host! Extremely responsive and great with communication and going above and beyond to help with any issues or questions we had during our stay. He gave us some great hiking recs as well! Beautiful off the grid private camping area with all that you would need for a quick and peaceful get away. Loved the out door kitchen and the compost loo with the view was so nice to have in the woods. 10 out 10 would recommend and hope to be back soon!

Great site, Great hosts, great Trail bike rental!

We had a wonderful time at Giorgio’s campsite at Little River Adventures. The pitches are well laid out with picnic tables and fire rings. There is a bathhouse with a hot shower and toilet. Giorgio and Tiffany were great hosts and we enjoyed a morning on his XT 250 trail bikes that he rents out for some truly awesome trail rides. Bikes are very, very well maintained and Giorgio is a great teacher. The area around the site is beautiful with plenty of great sights, and Fort Payne is a great little town to visit. Highly recommend to anyone.

Amazing beauty

Hiked the Lower Two Mile Trail down to the river and checked out a couple of overlooks. We stayed two nights at Little River Adventure Company. This is a perfect spot close to the canyon and the host Giorgio is awesome
