We call this the Hidden Spring Hideaway! An off-grid glamping experience. And yes - there is a fresh hidden spring that the glamping site overlooks.

Perfect for solo travelers, friends, or couples. Enjoy a pot of coffee or a bottle of wine, among the trees.

The bell-shaped canvas tent provides private sleeping accommodations for two (queen bed), an outdoor kitchen space, and a patio to relax with a campfire. The property offers walking trails throughout our woods with mature trees, an array of birds, flowers, a food forest, wildcraft medicinal herbs, and the Zumbro River for guest enjoyment. If you would like a tour of our 25-acre woodland property, my father (Steve), is a tree expert, and he would gladly show you around our land. Please message me and I will arrange this for you.

Please note, the Hidden Spring Hideaway has no running water or electricity. Everything is run on solar, rechargeable batteries, and propane. There is adequate lighting inside and outside, plus lanterns and flashlights for your use.

For drinking/cooking/washing, there will be a three-gallon cooler full of water. You're welcome to bring more of your own water as well or there is a convenience store a half-mile down the road. There is a new outhouse on the property that includes a bench seat toilet. There is compostable material provided to sprinkle in after you finish your business. Handwashing supplies are provided.

While the glamping tent does not have Wifi, there is great cell reception in the area.

You will find a complete informational guide with all of my recommendations for local businesses and area activities such as seeing the animals and hiking at Oxbow Park, enjoying a cold beverage at one of the many local breweries, antique shopping, or biking the Douglas Trail. We are located 15 miles west of Rochester, MN.

The Hidden Spring Hideaway is a great spot to live a simple life in nature and recharge. Hope to see you soon!

You will enjoy the entire glamping tent area to yourself.

My home is located nearby if you need anything. The glamping site is private, with its own driveway and entrance. No shared spaces, unless you would like access to our 25-acre woodland property. Please message me if you are interested in this.

Firewood is available for purchase. Please message me at least a day before your stay to reserve.

I am happy to answer questions about our property so please inquire prior to booking if you have any questions or concerns.

No RVs, trailers, or pitch-your-own-tents allowed. Two vehicle spots are included in the reservation.

This is a beautiful piece of land, so please be respectful and responsible.

The tent was amazing. Amanda was so thoughtful in setting it up and creating a relaxing, comfortable, environment. Seeing the fireflies come out when down by the river at dusk was a highlight. Marking the trails guests can utilize would be helpful as there are other houses nearby. Especially since I heard some neighbors either hunting or target practicing. I don’t want to accidentally walk onto their property 😳

Thank you for your kind words Hannah! And yes - we are currently working on marking the walking trails so you know exactly what is our property.
