The grainery loft is incredibly cozy and picturesque! Very comfortable bed and furniture. Kitchen things like good drinking water, microwave, fridge but must go outside for outhouse or to discard water. The petting farm itself is the most fascinating thing I’ve done in years!! The setup is amazing.

I think we caught this site on an off day, as they were hosting a family wedding. It's a nice place and mostly as advertised. However, people should really be warned about the goats. We had just gotten our dinner ready for the human kids when 15-20 goats descended on us. To be clear, they were adorable and our kids loved this experience. What was less adorable and fun for the adults was literally fighting the goats away from our table and food. Some of them were pretty aggressive, and I was nervous having to push the larger ones with horns off the table and off me. They were trying to steal food, nosing through our bags, chewing the human kids' clothes, and even chewing our tent. We were vastly outnumbered, so this want an easy fight. It was a short encounter, but I honestly can't recommend this place unless you have a hard sided vehicle in which to eat, or you can coordinate your food schedule with when the goats are released (we were not warned). Once we were done with food, our kids enjoyed walking around to see the other animals.
Also, there are significant train noises for anyone who is a light sleeper.

We absolutely love camping at the farm! The animal shenanigans, the space, the sunrises, the sunsets, Lois…all of it. There is so much room to spread out and make your camp exactly how you want it. The animals are always fun to hang out with.

Five stars is not enough!! Camping with the animals is so fun! And the farm is GORGEOUS. We have a 3 and 4 year old and they had so much fun the entire time. So much here for the kids from all the animals, to the playground and sand pit with trucks, toddler toys and even indoor play space. Love that they provide coffee in the barn and a microwave and pizza oven.

Lois was the perfect host. She exudes kindness and Midwestern warmth. We stayed with her so that we could day trip to Voyageur’s, which worked out perfectly. It was a delight to come “home” to baby goats everywhere. We’ve camped all over the world and this campsite was definitely one of our favorites. A bonus star for the immaculate and plush porta potty!

Amazing camping experience!!! We have a 3 and 4 year old and honestly can’t think of anything better than Cook’s Country Connection. The animals are gentle and the playground is spacious! We loved having the goats visit us at our campsite. Highly recommend!

My entire stay here was incredible! I camped on a Thursday night, so they had goat yoga happening on the farm which was a lot of fun. While I was sitting at my campsite, the animals would come visit me :) Lois is an amazing host as well. She is one of the most friendly people I have met and really made me feel at home.

Really fun spot! If you love critters, there will be plenty. From tiny goats to cows and cats there WILL be animals around to hang with. Very nice camping spot with plenty of wood. Host is awesome too

We loved our stay at Cooks Country Connection. Camping with the critters exceeded all of our expectations. I don’t think we realized how many critters there actually would be. The hosts were so friendly and gave us a tour of their property seeing the new 5 day old piglets, goats, bunnies, peacocks, cow, and much more! Theres a huge barn to hang out in if the weather turns and has a coffee station for the morning. The camping spot was large and had firewood and a fire pit. There were two porta potties on the property with a handwashing station and sanitizer! I loved this stay and am missing Mable Moo the cow already. 1 hour from Voyageurs National Park. Mosquitos were pretty rough in the morning and after the sun went down but everywhere in Northern MN was so buggy our entire trip. Still would stay!

We absolutely love being out in the pasture with all the animals. It is the most fantastic place to stay. I highly recommend it we really enjoy Lois the owner hand helpers. It’s a beautiful place. We are going to go back many times.

Don't hesitate to book! This place is absolutely incredible!!! The hosts were very welcoming, porta potties were clean, and the animals were the best part! We loved having all of the animal friends stopping by our site. This place is a slice of heaven and we can't wait to come back!

This was our second year visiting and we love coming to Cook's Country Connection and camping amongst the critters. Lois is a fabulous host and does whatever she can to meet your needs. All of the animals are so fun and we love the feeling of being disconnected. If you are a light sleeper, bring some earplugs so the animals don't wake you up at night. Also, if you come before the first frost, bring some strong bug spray! We can't wait to come back next year!

What a neat place. Tons of space, lovely facilities, super friendly staff and owners. Plus, in the evening you hear “incoming” shouted from the animal pens and before you know it you’re surrounded by goats, sheep, llamas and alpacas. It’s almost surreal.

Lois was an incredibly welcoming host, and was waiting to greet us when we arrived. We felt very safe and comfortable camping. A highlight was definitely by all the baby goats that would come by to say hello every once and a while.
