Our organic vegetables are spread out over 129 acres of flat river bottom fields and high sandy plateaus. The Pekin Brook winds down the middle of the farm and has a couple deeper pools for swimming. From June-October our farmstand is stocked with organic vegetables- our best sweet corn season is in August. We are 20 minutes from our state capital, Montpelier; 60 minutes from our nearest large city, Burlington which is located on Lake Champlain and 40 minutes from Waterbury, home to Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Factory. Some fun attractions in our neighborhood are: * Chickering Bog- an easy hiking trail with rare plants, variety of nesting birds, and frogs. * # 10 Pond - Our local gem for swimming, (small) boating and fishing * Kent Corner Museum- Various VT Artists featured in a historic Calais home * The Whammy Bar @ The Maple Corner Store- food, music, and community * Morse Farm Maple Sugar Works - get a maple creemee! * Coburn Covered Bridge- travel over a historic covered bridge * Worcester July 4th Fireworks Spectacular- probably the best you'll ever see! * Barre Opera House- visit their website for their musical and theatrical events! * (Fall Attraction)- Peck Family Orchard & Corn Maze - their donuts are perfect!

RV/tent site · Sleeps 8 · Vehicles under 30 ft
Open site (no close trees) on top of a knoll overlooking vegetable fields, beautiful sunset, and great for stargazing. This site is uphill, but allows for your vehicle to drive straight to your campsite. Site is flat for tents, has a fire pit and picnic table. This site is the farthest from the outhouse, but still in easy walking distance. This site is excellent for campers and trailers.

RV/tent site · Sleeps 8 · Vehicles under 30 ft
This site is nestled in the corner of a field, at the bottom of a knoll, with trees on two sides. Shady, with sun exposure, fire pit and flat areas for tents. This site is closest to the outhouse and has a straight, flat drive in area. This area is best for tents and campers.

Site 3 - Maple Overlook

100%
(13)
RV/tent site · Sleeps 8 · Vehicles under 30 ft
This site is the most private of the three, set on the edge of a vegetable field and overlooking another field, the river, and further out the road. Surrounded by trees, but with views of the sunset and night sky. This site has flat area for tents, trees for hanging hammocks, a fire pit and a picnic table. You will be able to drive straight to your campsite. Vehicles towing anything will need to be backed in. This spot does not have a lot of room for turning around, so we have decided not to allow trailers or large RV's for your safety and the integrity of our fields. This site is great for tents and hammocks.

The campsite on Mike's land offers a serene and private escape, perfect for stargazers and those seeking peace. With ample firewood and a clean outhouse, guests appreciate the host's attention to detail and helpful nature. While cell service might be spotty, the location's tranquility and the stunning views of fields and sunsets more than compensate. It's a spot where visitors can truly unwind and connect with nature, with easy access to local amenities and scenic trails.

Mike was a great host. He greeted us upon arrival and led us to the site. The place was quiet and private. The view of the sky at night was impressive as all the stars were visible. Sunrise was beautiful as well. Mike helped with filling our fresh water tank before our departure. We hope to return one day

Great site, great location. If you’re looking for a site that can accommodate several trucks this one stands out. Sites are rustic but there is an outhouse, that is very clean.
