Welcome Hikers!!! Our Campground is located at the base of the Red Rock Mountain where 487 meets 118 in Benton, Pennsylvania! We offer 23 spacious tent sites, cabins, and a RV Park with full hook up, 30 amp electric. We are a no frills campground, pitch your tent and enjoy nature! We are the closest campground to the beautiful Ricketts Glen State Park. Less than a mile from the lower parking area. We’re open April-October and we fill up fast!

Seclusion and peace near state park

Campground by Ricketts Glen!
Despite being part of an older, large campground, what Robin has prepared for Hipcampers is delightful! The separate tenting area we stayed in appeared to be newer, with well-spaced sites in the trees. It was nothing short of a tent officianado's paradise! Robin checked in with us a couple of times to make sure we were comfortable. The firewood was reasonably priced and burned very well in the clean fire pit. The stream added a nice touch of ambiance with it's babbling from the spring rains. I would say in the summer, bring bug spray, as anything with this proximity to a creek will have mosquitoes. The location was top-notch for visiting the park, and likely much nicer than the state park campground, in terms of privacy and space. Plan accordingly as the bath house was smallish for the number of people staying on a holiday weekend. We didn't have any kids or pets with us, but the space and pace felt welcoming for both. This place is a true gem and we enjoyed our one night stay immensely.

Campground by Ricketts Glen!
What a wonderful campsite, and so extremely close to Rickets Glen State Park! The folks who run the site are so kind and helpful. The bathroom & Shower facilities are fantastic, and give you a definite Glamping vibe. Campsite 16 is close to the road, so you do definitely hear cars as they zoom by, but it’s not too bad :) The weekend Flea Market on site was lovely, with awesome live music (bluegrass band when I was there) and tasty local wine available.

The bathrooms were clean. The campsite was close to the road and had a lot of road noise. Otherwise it was great.

Nice set up and so close to the lower end of the hiking trails! Owners were friendly. Bathhouses were clean. Will definitely stay here next trip!
