Rio Grande Camp is a fantastic fishing and swimming spot. This riverside campground is easy to find and access because it’s right off Hwy 68 but that also means It can get noisy when traffic is heavy. Rio Grande Camp is small and doesn’t accommodate larger trailers or RV’s. The sweet spot in our opinion is down next to the river near the fire pit. A great spot to set up your tent ⛺️ or just sit and enjoy the view. Enjoy the natural beauty of the Rio Grande while watching abundant wildlife. Otters, Beavers, Herons, Kingfishers and more to witness in this beautiful environment. There’s firewood down by the river for you.It can get loud sometimes because it’s next to Hwy 68, but that also makes this campsite easy to find and easy to access. It’s a beautiful private spot on the river with amenities. The fishing and swimming are great! This is a terraced campground with parking up top and tent camping down next to the river.

There is no toilet at the campsite but we will make our bathroom available if needed and it’s a short walk from Rio Grande Camp to our home upstream just past our neighbors house. Please respect the privacy of our neighbors when making your way to our home which is beyond the green gate at the end of the trail next to and parallel to the Hwy.

Tent
Nice camping spot, very neat and clean. Hard to find at night with rain coming down and limited cell service so you should plan ahead by downloading offline maps. Beautiful view of the river with lots of wildlife (beaver and kingfisher). Better to camp down by the river if you bring a tent, but there is a slope down there. Highway noise is persistent.
