We provide a quieter atmosphere with no crowds and fewer distractions. Relax in a setting of solitude and reconnect with nature. Come feel a more personal and secluded environment for an unhurried getaway. "Under The Oak On Hammond Bay" is ideal for couples, solo travelers, writers, small families or anyone who wants a calm, peaceful camping experience away from the hustle and bustle of busier campgrounds. Under The Oak on Hammond Bay is a private campsite between Rogers City and Cheboygan, Michigan. A short walk from our campsite will have your feet sinking into the sugar-sand beaches of Hammond Bay on Lake Huron. Go for a swim at popular Ocqueoc Falls, Michigan's Largest Waterfall in the Lower Peninsula. Hiking, Fishing, Boating, Kayaking, Canoeing, Mountain Biking, Swimming and Exploring are among the many wonders of a Northern Michigan vacation at "Under The Oak" on Hammond Bay. Nearby Attractions include 40 Mile Point Lighthouse, the Ocqueoc River, and the Black Mountain Recreation Area. Launch your boat at the Hammond Bay State Harbor located on the Sunrise Coast of Lake Huron, north of Rogers City near Cheboygan. Catch a ferry to Bois Blanc Island from Cheboygan or visit nearby Mackinaw City for a ferry ride to famous Mackinaw Island. This unique campsite is located on private land off US23 in Northern Michigan. Under The Oak on Hammond Bay is designed to accommodate small and large camping units with either a 30A or 50A electrical hook-up. We have a level back-in site with a picnic table and fire ring, high speed WIFI, potable water and Firewood can be purchased on site. Self-contained RV Campers only with black and gray water tanks. Please, NO dogs.RV site is a 3500 sq ft camp site with 1200 sq ft flat gravel RV parking area, 30A and 50A electrical hookup, a fire pit and a picnic table, potable water hookup. A short walk to the sugar-sand beaches of Hammond Bay on Lake Huron. There are no bathroom amenities here, and no sewage hookup. Guests will need to be self-contained, take waste with them and leave no trace.

Mike's site is wooded on one side and his house - shed are on the other side. Site is very level & has 30 amp electric hookup, and access to water via his hose. No shower, but Lake Huron with sandy beach is just a 5 min. walk down the road. Good sights to see nearby are lighthouse and large limestone quarry and Ocqueoc Falls. Good bar & restaurant with live music is Birdy's in Roger City. Also nice 10 mile paved bike path goes from 40 mile pt. Lighthouse to Roger City right along Lake Huron.
