Camp phoenix was the first day stop on a four day bike tour in Illinois. The site is not far off the old plank road trail. Harvest is a welcoming host who is quick to share in about the area. Her dog Chase is friendly. I would recommend to travels.

Harvest greeted us on arrival. It’s quiet, pretty, flat, and felt safe. There were a few other people on the property camping as well. Larger trailers be aware the entrance for the drive way is quite narrow.

Harvest's place is super nice, she was very responsive and helpful! It was walkable to the train station and a 40 min drive (outside of high traffic times) to drive downtown. There is a busier road that she lives off of with some car noise, but otherwise a perfect say!

Harvest has a lovely house 40 minutes drive from downtown Chicago, the train station is 15 min walk, but it takes about an hour and a half to get to the city with low frequency.
Her lawn is nice, in a quiet neighborhood, but lacks any facilities. You can pay $5 to use the bathroom and shower, which are inside her house.

Great little spot, decently close to Chicago. In fact staying here was the easiest time I've ever had trying to stay anywhere near Chicago with my 2 large dogs. Very quiet. There was even a tall bar table and chairs, swing and playground. Harvest the host was also very accommodating and always responded very quickly to my messages. Highly recommend.

Host was very accommodating and nice. By far the easiest experience I've had staying anywhere near Chicago. Great little set up with a tall table and chairs, swing and playground. Definitely was a life saver for me, very appreciative. She was okay with my dogs and always responded very quickly.

Harvest was prompt and communicative. Her backyard was spacious. It was peaceful but not as quiet as other campsites because it’s located very close to a well transited thoroughfare. Nothing bad, just something to be aware of. I’d stay here again!
