Welcome to The Bunkie @ Wild Family Homestead We’re so happy you’ve chosen to spend time with us! Whether you’re here to unplug, celebrate, explore, or simply enjoy a quiet weekend in the woods, we know you’ll feel right at home. Wild Family Homestead is a 11-acre, family-owned homestead - that we’re building one project at a time. Our days are busy outside the homestead, but here on the property life slows down. It’s peaceful, relaxed, and centered around enjoying the simple things—gardening, caring for the animals, and creating a place where guests can unwind and feel at ease. Camping at the Bunkie is truly glamping. We have electricity at the site, but use it minimally. Propane camping stove, candles, gas BBQ, oil lantern, etc are included. Up to 5 people can sleep in the Bunkie - 1 queen mattress in the upstairs loft accessible by ladder only. - 1 double pull-out egg crate foam pad plus sheet and blankets are tucked away for use - 1 couch - suitable to sleep one child During your stay, we invite you to enjoy the taste of the homestead. Guests have the option to pre-order seasonal vegetables, fresh fruit, and homemade baked goods—ready for you to enjoy during your stay, making your time here that much more relaxing. On leash. We are a working homestead with farm animals. Our dogs do roam occasionally on the property. Guest are more than welcome to bring their pets as long as they are on leash and friendly with other animals.

Pump or well, bottled water or jugs. 5 Gallons of fresh drinkable, filtered well water provided. 3 Gallons of potable well water for daily use, dishes, etc. provided

Cooking equipment present
Bbq, private, stovetop or hot plate, fridge, cookware, cooking utensils, dishware, cutlery, basic seasoning and oils, sink or other dishwashing station. We will have everything you need make a camping meal and morning coffee. Pour over drip coffee, Tea Kettle, 2-burner gas stove, BBQ, 1-Pot/1-Pan , silverware/plate/bowls and simple spices.
