Both I and my girlfriend had an incredible time. The overall experience was fantastic. It felt so much better than one of those parking spots with a picnic table camp sites. I was very happy to get a free bag of firewood and opted to get a second for the extra $5. The grill included on the campfire pit combined with a portable griddle top let me cook steak and eggs right over the fire, allowing for a delicious meal out. The hiking trail was fantastic. It was so secluded (We went on a week day) and relaxing. The forest was beautiful. Thank you so much for keeping this land available for camping and I hope to visit again.

McCully Heritage Project pond site
We had reserved the Pond campsite. More expensive than the other sites on the property. Our first night was great however the following morning we had fisherman pull directly into our campsite while we were enjoying a morning family campfire. They pulled so far into our site they passed the campfire ring and blocked our vehicle in. My husband kindly asked if they could move their vehicle in case we needed to leave. They did move but only further pulled into the campsite off to the side. We ended up leaving a day early due to a family member becoming ill. However I think in the future it may be helpful to note that parking for fishing at the ponds is in the main lot if the campsite is occupied. We would have no problem if they had walked up the path to fish and we both went about our mornings. We realize the ponds are open to public fishing.
We may return again, but it did make for an awkward experience.

Excellent facilities, heated bathrooms with hot water showers available during December which is always appreciated. Campgrounds are quiet and private but is situated next to a road so there was the occasional traffic noise.

This was my fourth time camping at McCully. It was beautiful as always. The bathrooms were clean. The firewood is neatly stacked in cartable sacks. It was a very serene visit.

Site 4 - McCully Heritage Project
Beautiful location. It was pretty cold and we were the only folks out there but they made sure they kept the firewood stocked for us. The fishing was fun as well! We already plan on returning sometime in the Spring.

Good and calm area! It was full of autumnal vibes in there. But the shower room wasn't as clean as I expected. Also, you can see a lot of vehicles passing near site 3. I recommend you bring your own firewood.

Nice spot. Clear directions. Bathrooms are pretty good but a decent hike from the sites. The pond site and levee site are fairly close together and the other site had 7 cars and a dozen people which was unexpected. They were nice folks but kinda loud until almost midnight which is way past quiet hours. I pointed this out to our hosts the next day and got no response. We still enjoyed our stay overall.

Site 4 - McCully Heritage Project
We really enjoyed our time at the McCully Heritage Project. We were the only ones camping in that area, so we had a lot of space and privacy. The campsites are huge and lots of options to where you can pitch a tent. The hiking was great, and the restrooms/showers were clean. We definitely will be back - we enjoyed following some of the trails through the woods but only scratched the surface of the hiking available.

We stayed at the levee spot. It was quite and peaceful. We loved hiking the northern trails kinda was bummed about the southern trails were closed but hoping to come back when southern trails are back open. Would recommend staying here.

Real outdoor camping experience great for quicj retreat. Even though other sites were located nearby you felt like you had your own space, quiet and secluded. Places to walk/ wonder, go fishing, play with rocks and in the play ground. Everything was clean and it was nice to have firewood for purchase everyday, drinkable water, and charging station just in case! The kids had an amazing first time tent camping experience and the dogs didn’t want to leave. Also it was cool to take your car on the ferry taxi to get to the spot - just added to the trip! * there isn’t cell service at the campsites but you can get some service by the main road if you need it

This is the most serene place we have ever camped, we absolutely love the seclusion and quiet of our favorite spot! We will be returning again hopefully sometime this summer and definitely next summer! This has become our anniversary camp! We just celebrated 23 years of marriage on the 17th of June and have spent our anniversary weekend there at camp! We love you all there and would recommend your camp ground to everyone

We had a wonderful stay that he Levee site. Felt like we had 900 beautiful acres all to ourselves for two nights with our two bulldogs. Had a great morning hike and afternoon. Picnic in the gazebo by the pond turned into an afternoon of leisure enjoying the sites and sounds of nature. Shower rooms were impressive and a welcome treat after a day in the woods. Slept to the sounds of birds, crickets and frogs….”priceless!”

The Watkins cabin was a perfect refuge on the way down to see the Solar eclipse. It was Super secluded and the giant tree in the yard just a foot or 2 from the back porch was breathtaking. We saw and heard so many birds. We definitely plan on going back to do some of the trails! <3

What a great experience. They were very responsive to a day-of reservation and instructions were very clear. I didn't use the firewood provided, but what an excellent perk to be available. Restroom/shower facilities were clean and info provided nearby gave plenty of info about the property. The property is gorgeous and the Levee site is perfect for a camper van. Highly recommend and I really hope to visit again.

Site 3 - McCully Heritage Project
The campsite was very sweet and the restrooms were huge and clean with piping hot water. The cypress trees exhibited the famous knobby formations alongside the creek and ponds.

McCully's cabin was the perfect spot for our two young children, our dog, and my husband and I. Camp staff were extremely friendly. The cabin was clean and perfectly secluded; it truly was the perfect, private little getaway. There was plenty of firewood available and the kitchen had everything you'd need if you choose to cook indoors.
We fished at both of the campsite ponds over 2 days and on the second day we had the pond entirely to ourselves. The entire site was cabin beautiful, quiet, and well maintained. Highly recommend! We'll be back!

I spent an evening, night, and morning here to break up a long drive. Other than having everything I needed to rest and relax, I found that this place is magical in itself. The peace and quiet, all the amazing nature and wildlife around. It was awesome. Highly recommend!

Camped here with a friend over the weekend and it was a perfect start to our camping season. Neat trails to explore, quiet and clean campsite. Stayed at site 4 and could not complain about the lot. We had two six person tents placed and there was still space for a third tent if needed. Plenty of trees if you care to bring a hammock. Would recommend and will definitely visit again.

This was my second time staying at the pond site. I can't say enough good things about this camping site; the site is spacious, there are trails right on the property and good fishing in the pond. This is a great place to camp with friends or family. I heard coyotes at night and saw a few deer in the morning. One of my favorite places to camp, I will definitely be back!

I loved camping here with my 4 year old and our dog. The location was easy to find with the clear instructions. So much space and trails to explore right from our camp.
I appreciated the option to add on firewood, our fire was perfect for the chilly night we had and it was extra nice to have a heated bathroom nearby with a clean drinking water spout.
Would definitely stay here again!
Also, I highly recommend the Barefoot Restaurant about 15 minutes South from camp. They have beautiful views and a delicious breakfast buffet.
