Semi working farm with cows, chickens, and small garden. The ranch also features a 1910 house that is currently being renovated. This property has been in our family since the 1960's, and owned by close friends of the family since the house was built in 1910. Close access to San Marcos, Lockhart, and Luling. Public river access is just down the road. The RV site includes a 38 ft. covering, 50A electricity, sewer and city water hookups. There is also a fire pit and a covered picnic table close by. Just 8 miles away located in the heart of Texas’s barbecue capital, Lockhart State Park is an intimate, area with lush trees and trails along the Clear Fork Creek. It offers amenities like a swimming pool, a golf course, a small waterfall, fishing, and hiking. It’s just a 10-minute drive from legendary restaurants like Black’s Barbecue, Smitty’s Market, and Kreuz Market—all must-eat stops for barbecue fans. The state park offers short, flat trails ideal for novice hikers on the Comanche Loop, and fishing is as easy as casting your line—no license required—and enjoying the peaceful environment. If you're willing to venture a little further, 22 miles away you have Palmeto state park.Semi working farm that also features a 1910 built house currently undergoing renovations. Cows, chickens, and a garden all on site. Public river access just down the road as well as very cheap river access with bathrooms and showers just around the corner. We also have two tandem kayaks and two single seat kayaks available while staying. Both are about 10' in length. Very quit country setting. Large farm fields across the road. There is also the occasional deer siting and turkey call in the morning. Depending on time of year and supplies, firewood will be available free of charge as well. Turn in to property is a little tight, but easily done if coming from the east (FM1977) just verify low water crossing is not closed before coming from this direction. RV site has a 38' length covering, sewer and 50A electric hookup. Water hookup is about 60' from the site so bring a long hose or fill tanks before hand.

Peaceful Ranch
We had a great stay here! It was private and peaceful. Far enough from the city but yet close to all your needs in the nearby cities. There is river near the property, about a mile away, for tubing, swimming etc. e got fresh eggs from their chickens. Becca and Robert are wonderful hosts. Definitely recommend.🙂

The Ranch RV Spot
My husband and I greatly enjoyed our tent camping stay in early July 2022. Met upon arrival with a dozen fresh chicken eggs. Host gave us tips on where to go for the activities we wanted to do. They brought around the fire pit and shared their own firewood, they also had tubes and kayak set out for us before we arrived. Kind family, they do live on the property in the house they are restoring so it feels a bit like camping in someone's front yard (bc you are). There's not much to do by way of hanging out at the campsite, but recommend this spot as a launch point for San Marcos, New Braunfels, or the river around the corner at Shady Grove Campground. Pros: Privacy away from other campers Nearby access to river at the Shady Grove Campground Tubes, kayaks, directions, activity suggestions available from family Safety Shaded picnic table Less than 20 mins from San Marcos Cute Martindale downtown less than 5 minutes away Some shade provided by two large trees, particularly nice in the morning. Wonderful stargazing and sunsets Cons: No bathroom facilities The family lives on site so there will be some in and out of a normal family, including kids Bugs - numerous but no harm to us Critters can be loud at night - recommend earplugs Shady Grove Campground which is just around the corner has bathrooms with free showers. $5 per person for a day pass and there is also river entry there. Not a long floating river, more of a post up in a nice spot river (too shallow).
