Grafton Notch State Park and Mahoosuc Public Lands

The Mahoosuc Public Reserved Land is a beautiful and rugged landscape of mountain peaks, gorges, caves, and waterfalls. This is a backpacker’s dream, with many challenging but scenic hikes, including a portion of the Appalachian Trail. Those who make it up to summits will be rewarded with spectacular views, especially from Old Speck. If you’ve had enough hiking for the day, take a drive along the Grafton Notch Scenic Byway for a tour of the area from the comfort of your vehicle.
