Our 11-site campground is situated on Arkansas Hwy 74E, approximately three miles east of Jasper and three miles west of the Hasty Cutoff for quick access to the Buffalo River! This is not a residential campground like so many in the area - it is exclusively for camping enthusiasts!
Being former camping enthusiasts ourselves, we built our RV park to accommodate rigs anywhere from a small popup to campers and motorhomes in excess of 40'. We also created each campsite to provide LOTS of personal space, with campsites being anywhere from 30 feet to 50 feet apart. Each site features a firepit, with small bundles of firewood available for purchase. Picnic tables are also available for your stay. We offer five campsites that are pull-through with full hookups, and six back-in sites that have water and electric only (a dump station is available for your convenience). Also featured is a BEAUTIFUL shower building; one side for the women, and one side for the men. Once you step inside and shut the door, you will have the beautifully tiled shower, toilet and lavatory to yourself until you are finished! Laundry facilities are also available on site - rather than charging exorbitant rates for using the washer and dryer like other RV parks or laundromats, we opted to make it available to our guests for a simple monetary donation. A lockbox is conveniently located in the laundry room for you to drop your donation into. Come stay with us and enjoy the beauty of the Ozarks and Buffalo River country! This remote primitive campground is between Kingston and Compton, Arkansas. in the Ozark Mountains of the Boston plateau. The wooded 15 acres is nestled just above a scenic bluff looking south. You can set your tent on our grassy knoll or find a random spot anywhere under our hardwoods or pines. There is one designated gravel site pad for a mid size trailer.
The only roads to Spoken N’ Tru are gravel. I highly recommend taking the gravel route from Kingston. This particular gravel road is 5 miles. If you are pulling a camper this is definitely the best. There is another longer 8 mile option from 412 - south from Dryfork in between Marble and Ozark. The shortest route if from 103 but it has a deep creek crossing and don't recommended unless you have a good 4 wheel vehicle.
The best road to Ponca is County Road 1300 which takes you to Highway 43.
Please keep in mind that Spoke N’ Tru is a cozy but primitive camping site with no amenities so be ready to check your electronics before heading down our gravel roads. Lastly, please read amenity notes, especially regarding waste.

This is an off-grid glamping cabin. The parking area is just down the hill from the cabin. It's a short walk up to the cabin, you will need to across the foot bridge over the creek and up a few steps to the cabin. The terrain on the property could be muddy or loose at times. Always watch your footing. There is no running water, but there is an 8-gallon jug over the sink for drinking and washing. Extra water available for longer stays. Composting toilet outhouse behind the cabin. Compost toilet bucket is cleaned out after every guest. Propane hot water shower is only available in the warmer months (usually April through October). The cabin is powered by a small solar panel setup. Please do not plug in any personal devices. They could damage the electrical system or overwork it. USB charging dock for phones, laptops, etc. Good cell service with most providers. Basic LED lighting. Direct vent propane heater. Full size memory foam mattress with plenty of warm blankets. We have a private swimming area on our property which is just a short hike from the developed campsites (Please ask the camphost for directions).
There are miles of county maintained bumpy dirt roads leading to the site. Expect your vehicle to get dusty. There is a creek crossing that is required to reach the campsites. We recommend high clearance and/or 4WD or AWD vehicles. If you are unable to cross the creek, you will need to park in the parking area and walk across the creek to reach your site.

Calico Camp is a lovely, shady spot on private property about 2 miles from Calico Rock Main Street and the White River. Rich in history and great fishing. Bring your boat and kayak. Or, you can rent one in town. There are fishing guides available, too.
I moved here in 2016 from Atlanta, Georgia. I actually lived in an RV in a beautiful park for several years there. And, loved it! I thought I was going to do that here, but changed my mind when I found this sweet little house on a couple of acres. Deer visit us, and bunnies make their homes here. I have cats and dogs of my own.

Nice, private, shady. Easy to get to from Hwy. 56. About 2 miles from the White River and Main Street Calico Rock.
Turn from Hwy. 56 can be tricky for big rigs because of a ditch at Jones Street. Left hand turn is easier than right hand turn.
You can use the parking lot across the street to help you back your rig into the campsite. We have permission from the owner to do that.
There is room for your boat, too. Pets are welcome. Close to grocery, bank, gas.
The White River is famous for its trout fishing. Deer hunting in the area, too. (Not on this property.)
The hookups are on the left side (right side if you back in). You may need extensions for your power and sewer. I have them available, if you don’t have your own.

Edgewater Beach Resort is a peaceful oasis away from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life. There are 2 RV sites at Edgewater that are located just a few feet from the water's edge. Lake Taneycomo is a cold- water lake that is famous for trout fishing. The resort has 3 docks that you can fish off of. You can also fish anywhere along the water's edge. Each RV site has water, sewer, and electric hookups, wifi, a private picnic table, and a private firepit/ grill. The sites are separated by a privacy fence for the utmost privacy. The resort has boat rentals, a fish cleaning station, an outdoor pool that is open from Memorial weekend through Labor Day weekend, a playground, and a laundry room. I also have boat slips available to rent for $25 a night. The resort is next to Empire Park which has lots of fishing spots, a playground, a disc golf course, and walking trails. The resort is 16 miles from The Branson Landing. You can get there by car or boat.
Ask me about adding a boat slip to your reservation or about getting a discount for a long-term stay. I offer a 25% discount for stays of a month or more.

We stay open all year round! Please note, the water spigots at the RV sites can't be turned on if the outdoor temperature is below freezing.
*Lake Taneycomo will look different based on the seasons, weather, and the flow of water in the lake. It is common to see a large amount of duckweed in the lake, especially in the coves, during periods of high heat. It isn't attractive, but it is harmless. The maintenance crew at the resort constantly works to keep the coves looking as nice as possible, but it is a natural body of water, so there's only so much that can be done.*

We had a great stay! Haley was awesome and super helpful. Our camp site was private and clean. We would definitely come back! There is some noise from the motorbikes and 4wheelers but that is expected and honestly wasn't as disruptive as it could have been! We had a great stay!

This site is an absolute delight. The foggy morning sites, the space, the VIEW, the amenities, the home-roasted coffee, the owner. It was just a fantastic time. So peaceful, lovely, and easy. A great vacation spot for anyone looking for an outdoor getaway with unbeatable views, hot water, electric, and an owner who is just fantastic to work with and talk to. We had an wonderful time talking to him, and they made us muffins to pair with a coffee that they roast themselves. I literally can't recommend this space more!! You won't be disappointed.

We loved the remote feel, it was very peaceful. However the port-a-potties were filled to the top and absolutely disgusting. Our trip was at the end of September and they were in a drought so the creek was very low. The access into the campsite could be better maintained, limbs and thorn bushes will scratch up the sides of your vehicle so use caution.

Had yet another fantastic weekend up on the bluff. The hosts are lovely, and welcoming, and helpful. Robert came with a jump pack, when I discovered my car battery was dead (I think someone left a dome light on), and I was able to go to Shirley for some necessaries. The accomodations are fantastic, and the view cannot be beat! Best. Hipcamp, I've. Ever. Been to. It's by far my favorite place to camp. I foresee many trips back.

My sister and me enjoyed your campsite, and the quiet, seclusion of the land. It was a beautiful place to disconnect from the world. Speaking of disconnection, the cell reception was very little. We both have AT&T and it was one or the other, not both at any given time. Again very nice to escape for peace and quiet. There was a massive amount of Grand Daddy Long Legs and big Black Ants but that’s part of enjoying raw nature! Pierce was very nice, helpful and respectful!

We stayed at Carver after staying at the valley of Peace on hipcamp. We had booked Carver first and could only get 2 nights but stayed at the valley of peace first. Carver was great because it's a short walk down a path to the Buffalo River but was also really busy and at night loud..it was on Memorial weekend so maybe that's why. The campground was clean, pack in and out what you have. There's a descent amount of space between sites. Did not realize they were not back in sites so had to carry our gear a little ways from the car. The parking lot was over filled but again I think because of the holiday weekend. It is close to the highway so you can hear the trucks on the road. Vaulted toilet was clean. Would stay here again for proximity to the river on a non holiday weekend. Also it was like 20 minutes to Jasper a town that you could get gas and some snacks.

Yes great place to kayak
This campground is really great! Beautiful spot along the Buffalo River with close access to the BRT and ORT for hiking. Great area with easy access to other hiking, floating, and any outdoor needs. Really close to downtown Jasper and there’s a Harp’s a few minutes down 7 that has gas, firewood, and any essentials you may have forgotten.
The previous review covers the essentials, but the gravel road into the campground is well maintained making it more accessible to more vehicle types.
Mostly designed for tent camping, there are some more accessible RV spots in the 1-3 range closest to the camp host. Definitely fills up on weekends, so I recommend booking online in advance. There are also a lot of folks who use this campground for day use to park and access the river. It has a pavilion with a charcoal grill that can be rented.
On here it says no pets, but we did see a handful of people with dogs on leash, so I don’t know how accurate that is.
