Best in Delaware: Finalist
Named one of the best Hipcamps to visit in 2024.
All to yourself
96% of recent Hipcampers say this Hipcamp felt private.
Quiet rural area with forest beside a working farm. You can see lots of deer and wild turkey from the primitive camp sites that look out under the trees to the ag field. We're near all Delaware beaches, Ocean City, Maryland, and Nanticoke River boat ramps and canoe launches. Like to ride bikes - find a bike trail nearby at Redden Forest, or at Trap Pond State Park or if you want paved riding, try the  Georgetown-LewesTrail.  Want to take a tour of a local brewery? Dogfish Head Craft Brewery in Milton - local tours.  October camping? Don't forget to book the 1st full weekend in October and you won't miss the Apple Scrapple Festival in Bridgeville. Food, crafts, antique cars, rides, vendors and did I say food? Best of both worlds - solitude and forest camping but near the crowded beaches and rivers.   Near everything fun in Delaware - short drive from DE & MD beaches and state parks (20-30 mi)/ state forest trails (3 mi) / Nanticoke River boat ramps, kayak & canoe launches & fishing (8-9 mi) / Sports at the Beach & DE Turf Sports Complex too / on America Discovery Trail / Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge is only 20 miles from camp. 10 wooded acres in the country - rural wooded property surrounded by tilled farmland and forest.   Pull through cement pad for RV - quiet area with electric and water hook up.   Away from any road noise.  Nearby horse pasture, tree swing for kids and seat/table combination.  Site is near state forest for hiking and easy drive to beaches.

Brenda's campsite offers a peaceful and private retreat with helpful amenities like water and electric hookups. Guests appreciate her warm hospitality and the convenience of nearby attractions such as beaches and breweries. The site is particularly praised for its serene environment, perfect for both RVs and tents. However, navigating the site can be challenging for larger vehicles, especially during wet weather, and there's been some disappointment regarding responsiveness to cancellations.

Hidden gem
Tent · Group trip
This was a great site to camp out. The Host is very nice and showed us everything we needed to know to enjoy ourselves. We got lucky and we're the only people there so we had a whole woods to run through. It was nice peaceful and quiet. I will definitely be going back. My friends dog also had a great time running around and playing with all the space.

Quiet and peaceful
8 m travel trailer · With pets
Brenda was very welcoming and helpful but also gave us our privacy. We were parked alongside a large shed and had a big backyard as well as trails through the woods to enjoy and walk our dogs. With water and electric hookups we were all set. Very quiet and peaceful which is exactly how we like it.

Great, secluded campsites - wooded, but near a farm field. Very private, lovely spot to enjoy some peace and quiet. Fire ring, chairs, table were all appreciated. Would recommend!

We had a wonderful stay camping here. Secluded and spacious sites on Brenda's 10+ acres made for a great first trip with our dog. We stayed at camp site #3 and decided to drive in. It would definitely be a decent walk to the site, but we made it just fine in our Toyota RAV4 and the route was clearly marked. Brenda was very accommodating and communicated very quickly to any questions we had. Will definitely stay here again anytime we are headed to the beach!

Private high canopy. Great host
Tent · With kids
Probably the nicest true forest high canopy experience I have ever had. Very well spaced generous campsite. Trees are very high but there is flat farmland nearby that let's the right amount of light in on the side. Great tent parking with a walk. We drove all the way in which is more convenient but I would not try it in anything bigger than a suburban or a low profile sports car. Perfect for tent camping. People who like very private camping with community oriented friendly people. Real close to beautiful Trap pond and a great stopover if you are heading to the Eastern Shore
