Our remote 375 acres part farm and part natural woodland nestled up to Daniel Boone Forest is ideal for hikers and nature lovers. There are several hiking trails onsite and plenty of woods to explore. ATVs or side by sides are welcome to be used on the main gravel roads and some designated areas of our property. There is plenty of wildlife but NO hunting is allowed. Some of our designated tent sites do have firepits and/or picnic tables. Our trek in sites do not have those options. Pets are welcome for $10 per pet/per booking and they do need to be leashed/under control at all times. This is an extra so please be sure to add that if you plan to bring your pet. Please pick up after them.
We are a short driving distance from West Liberty, Cave Run Lake, Grayson Lake, Carter Caves, Morehead, Natural Bridge and Red River Gorge.
We are approximately 20 minutes from the nearest store so you'll want to come prepared. We are located in West Liberty (Morgan County). There are 2 centrally located bathhouses with toilet, shower and sink and a hose for potable water. We have firewood for sale for $20 per stay and is an extra option when booking(use what you need during your stay and it is centrally located near bath houses) you can bring your own and you are welcome to gather from the surrounding area but please do not cut down any living trees/limbs.
There is a centrally located community building with a Wifi hotspot, streaming TV, Keurig, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster/air fryer, swing set, foosball table and darts.

We are located about 2 minutes from the Sheltowee Trail, and approximately 30 minutes away from Cave Run Lake, and about 30 minutes from Carter Caves State Park.
This is a cabin with comfort. You can camp and also enjoy nature.
The cabin is off grid, but has a generator for heat and Air conditioning. The outside toilet is close to the cabin and has a "Wash up" area. There is also an outdoor shower on the property just a short walk away, that features hot water.

We are an 8 minute drive from Rush Off-Road - a 7,000 acre off-road park with over 100 miles of trails with new trails being opened up regularly.

Located in Boyd County, Ky (less than two miles from US 23), our 50 acres are on a one-lane, dead end road which makes for a peaceful, quiet night’s sleep under the stars and amongst the trees.
Our sites are completely primitive (no running water, no electricity, no sewer) hike-in or 4WD accessible only, in several locations on the hills behind our residence. Potable water (2.6 gallons in a jug with spout) and portable toilet in privacy tent, or shelter, provided. *Permanent privacy shelter on two out of three sites*
All sites are ideal for tent campers, overlanding-style rigs, or possibly a small, off- road trailer/camper, with fire ring and firewood provided at each site. You will have access to all trails (for hiking only) and shared access to the fishing pond (Catch and Release only at this time). There are plenty of trees for shade, hammocks, etc. There is also an abundance of wildlife: Birds, deer, turkeys, rabbits, squirrels, bobcats, coyotes, and even an occasional black bear.
Large firepit at pond for socializing, if desired (Quiet time from 10pm to 8am as a courtesy to other campers).
We are pet friendly as well as off-leash friendly (on leash on trails or pond area if not friendly). *We do have two off-leash dogs on our property as well*

Located in Boyd County, Ky (less than two miles from US 23), our 50 acres are on a one-lane, dead end road which makes for a peaceful, quiet night’s sleep under the stars and amongst the trees.
Our sites are completely primitive (no running water, no electricity, no sewer) hike-in or 4WD accessible only, in several locations on the hills behind our residence. Potable water (2.6 gallons in a jug with spout) and portable toilet in privacy tent, or shelter, provided. *Permanent privacy shelter on two out of three sites*
All sites are ideal for tent campers, overlanding-style rigs, or possibly a small, off- road trailer/camper, with fire ring and firewood provided at each site. You will have access to all trails (for hiking only) and shared access to the fishing pond (Catch and Release only at this time). There are plenty of trees for shade, hammocks, etc. There is also an abundance of wildlife: Birds, deer, turkeys, rabbits, squirrels, bobcats, coyotes, and even an occasional black bear.
Large firepit at pond for socializing, if desired (Quiet time from 10pm to 8am as a courtesy to other campers).
We are pet friendly as well as off-leash friendly (on leash on trails or pond area if not friendly). *We do have two off-leash dogs on our property as well*

We're a small 46-site campground that's owned by a local family. Our families have been here in Boyd County for generations. Our family dream has been in the works for many years. Our goal is to create another business that not only creates a place to come have a great time. It's our goal to create a campground in our hometown area of Ashland KY, Huntington WV, and Southern OH where our team members are able to work and live a great life.
Our mission is to take the rewards of our campground business and then "Spread Kindness" throughout the community to all. Especially to those families with kids that are fighting for a better tomorrow, but just can't seem to get ahead. We will announce our weeklong kids camp one day in the very near future and the partnerships we're creating that will impact young lives right here in our community. We are not perfect, but we never give up. We change direction, but we never lose sight of the light at the end of the tunnel. This place isn't just our dream. Oasis Point is for you. Our second stay! Once during Fall and this time Winter. We hope to visit again in all the seasons because each season has something unique to offer in these beautiful hills. Even in 30 degree weather of December, we arrived to a toasty warm cabin all lit up for us. Once we got settled for bed, we turned off the generator and stayed warm all night. (We did add our sleeping bag on top of the mattress just in case.) There's always firewood to enjoy an outdoor fire, coffee, and games/coloring for kids, lots of woods and creek to explore, and it's so peaceful and private! Cabin and outhouse are super clean! I highly recommend even in the Winter. Tip: if you stay when it's freezing, the shower may not be on- just ask, and I would bring the outdoor hand washing water inside the cabin at night so it's not freezing cold the next morning. We take a portable power bank with us to charge phones so that we don't have to turn on the generator for that. We don't have phone service there, but you don't need it. Unplug! There's wifi you may be able to connect to closer to his driveway or he's the type of host you could knock if you're having a real emergency. There's a restaurant gas station very close by with food and Wifi. The hosts are incredibly kind, fun, friendly people, generous also because with their price, really don't make money on this to justify the work involved. They just like sharing their slice of heaven as a gift! Hope you enjoy it as much as we do and take good care of it!

4 nights at Walnut Falls Escape
Highly recommend! This cabin is perfect. Not only is it beautiful, but it is clean and fully stocked with anything you might need. The wood burning stove keeps it incredibly warm and cozy in the winter. The property surrounding the cabin is beyond beautiful! There are hiking trails and a stream that can be heard from the cabin's porch. The site is very private and quiet. I also can't say enough good things about the host Craig! Incredibly nice, quick to respond, and willing to whatever to make your trip perfect. I can't wait to go back!!!

This is a funky little spot, don't be put off by the drive in. Mike has created a number (5?) of leveled gravel full hook up sites pretty close together, but very nice. Sweet communal fire pit right on a deck overlooking a little river. Fantastic bathroom with running hot water and shower! We would definitely camp here again. Thank you Mike.

Weekend Trip to Walnut Falls Escape
Fantastic! Despite some of the drawbacks others have noted, my now fiance and I had a great time! I booked this cabin because of the incredible privacy, and mainly to propose in Hocking Hills! (She said yes 😎)
Craig was a very nice host and made sure the cabin was well stocked. Despite no running water it had everything you could think to need, and overall you can tell the cabin was built with safety/comfort in mind.
We will definitely be staying here again! Thanks Craig!

Possum Ridge Ranch is amazing. We camped at Oak Ridge and loved the site. We also explored a bit and walked down to Little Falls which was beautiful. Liz was very nice. The bath houses are clean and a nice surprise while camping. Would definitely recommend and camp here again.

This site is perfect! Very well kept and private. Definitely need a 4x4 vehicle to drive to site if you don’t plan on hiking to. I had no problems with my Bronco Sport with A/T tires. Owners are very pleasant and accommodating. Will definitely be coming back to this site.

My family and I loved this area for camping. It’s a beautiful property with some hiking trails if you love nature. I liked how spread out the campsites were, especially with having kids. Liz was a good host. She was very friendly and replied quickly to any messages. I liked the community area she had and the bath houses were nice. We had an incredible time staying on this property on the Peachtree lot. Liz is an amazing host! She couldn't have been more accommodating and kind.
She has the cleanest and homeiest feeling bath houses we've ever used at a campsite. There is even a little community hangout area with vending machines, a microwave, coffee, ice bags, a foosball table, and some other little conveniences.
As for getting to the ranch, it was straightforward. Google brought us right to her road and following her directions took us right to our lot with no issues. They have nice signs guiding you all along the way and everything's easy to make out.
The drive itself is absolutely gorgeous out to her place and the ranch itself is peaceful and full of unexpected surprises. Liz told us about lots of places and things we could explore on the ranch and she also mentioned Hell's hole.
If you are up to the challenge, take the hike down hell's hole and see if you can make it down to the river. It's unbelievable what some people have right in their backyard, and the fact that Liz shares it with us is such an awesome gift.
I brought my 8-month-old puppy along and he had the time of his life chasing and sniffing everything he could out on her property. We will definitely be back sometime to check out more of the Red River gorge area and more of the possum ridge ranch itself. Plus it's just beautiful driving through that area. Thanks Liz!!

Possum Ridge Ranch was even better than advertised! Liz was a great host. There was a central bath house and community center was awesome! Have stayed at plenty of hip camps but this one by far was the best. Lots of trails to see, beautiful views, clean as can get, and worth every minute! We will be back.
