Paradise Cove
We enjoy camping here as a family. The nice open field is at the top of a hill offering some lovely views. It’s convenient to be able to park as near to our tent as we want.
This site shows good signs of a healthy ecosystem. The frog noises in the nearby shady green pond were fun. (Use caution with toddlers.) We did see a few ticks and a rare mosquito but I think the frogs and birds do their job eating them. Cows and donkeys could be heard in the distance at the campsite. And we even saw a deer on a far hill. We enjoyed forging our own path in the patches of woods around the site.
Caution: The hill up to the site is steep. Our minivan made it on the dry summers day when we arrived but if it had been muddy we wouldn’t have.

Rural Camp Site
This was a beautiful place to camp. I got there after dark and it was a little hard to find the turn off. The camp site was at the top of a hill and my Prius had a bit of a hard time with it but once I made it, it was gorgeous.

Fantastic site, we arrived around 3pm and Michael responded right away to a firewood request (It had rained). The directions were clear, and the green gate was easy to find. We camped by the fire pit, but walked up to the top of the hill for the evening to stargaze. It was an excellent location and we were (with a 5 inch mirror) able to see a lot. Very quiet location and the trashcans and pit toilet were welcome additions (I had two under 12 kids with me). Weak AT&T cell coverage close to the fire pit site, but no issues on top of the hill.

Very hard to find, if it exists
I arrived after dark, but despite finding the mailbox corresponding with the address, I absolutely could not find any sign of a camp site. I ended up driving back and forth for a while before leaving to find the nearest walmart and sleeping in my car. Very disappointing, after driving seven hours.

Secluded, Quiet, Beautiful
Beautiful, secluded spot with a clean outhouse and small firepit right next to a pond. It was great for the 6 of us, but the spot could have accommodated way more. Michael was kind enough to check on us and we all look forward to our next visit!

Paradise Cove
Paradise cove is a nice peaceful place to camp. The only person we saw was Michael. He came up the very first day after we arrived, brought us firewood. It ended up being too hot for a fire.
We stayed at campsite #1 up on the hill. We were surrounded by trees. Unfortunately we couldn’t use them for shade. It is wide open there but there is a slight breeze most of the time. In the evenings it gets cooler. The best part of this camp is after dark when the clouds are gone the stars are amazing.
I think the fall would be the best time for me at this campsite. I do like the the seclusion there.
We also enjoyed hearing nature, especially after dark. I found those sounds to be peaceful and relaxing.
Michael is a very friendly and kind host.

Amazing!
The perfect get away. Just far enough out to feel secluded, but close enough to civilization if you need it. Michael was an amazing host - brought us fire wood and gave us a quick rundown of the land.
If you’re in the area, this is a must do! The kids loved it, the dog loved it, and waking up to the sound of the cows was magical.

Amazing Sunsets & The Best Host
My boyfriend and I were privileged to stay on such a beautiful farm with such a welcoming and helpful host! We had planned to camp and once we found out it was going to rain most the time we were there we messaged him and asked about cancelling and he offered us a private covered barn area to be protected and not have to cancel! We got to eventually move to the site which he helped with and it was beyond beautiful. The pond was a great muse for painting, and right on top of a beautiful hill perfect for sunsets. No problem keeping cool either with trees shading my tent. We had such a good time! Also got to pet a horse which is makes things that much better.

This place was perfect for a quick getaway! So spacious and well kept. The house was clean and well stocked, plenty of space to roam around away from camp, and perfect trees for a hammock. The host was very responsive and helpful. I will definitely be returning!

Paradise Cove was great!
Michael's land was great. Paradise cove was beautiful. The weather was not the best. But we roughed through that storm. We did some hiking and enjoyed a nice campfire.
We are definitely returning. Hopefully when the weather is nicer.

I absolutely loved everything about this place! I have a hard time enjoying camping because my older dog has anxiety and gets nervous around lots of people/other dogs. This makes large and crowded campgrounds unenjoyable. It was wonderful to have the whole place to ourselves.
Several mature trees that were the perfect distance for hanging my hammock. The campsite was also easy to find.
I look forward to returning here again in the very near future!

Paradise cove was great! The perfect balance of away from people, yet not far from town. Nice secluded camping area with nothing but nature around you. You Definitely need a 4x4 vehicle to access the camp site. Site 1 was on top of the ridge, with great views. Easy to watch Sunrise and sunset. The sound of nature all around is calming.

Lovely rural site near cute town
We stayed at site #2 and absolutely loved it. It was a ways back off of a rural road, very quiet, and nice and open and private. We also appreciated that the site had a firepit, a nice little cedar outhouse, a picnic table, and a way to dispose of our trash. The land around it is very pretty too although we did not get to explore as much as we would like to because we came on an unexpected 90-degree weekend in Sept. Michael was also very responsive and friendly.
We did drive into Cynthiana and were pleasantly surprised to see that there were a number of restaurants and even a dog-friendly microbrewery that would have made a fun stop for a longer stay.
We can't wait to come back -- what a lovely little getaway in the countryside.
