Weekend Trip to Walnut Falls Escape
Fantastic! Despite some of the drawbacks others have noted, my now fiance and I had a great time! I booked this cabin because of the incredible privacy, and mainly to propose in Hocking Hills! (She said yes 😎)
Craig was a very nice host and made sure the cabin was well stocked. Despite no running water it had everything you could think to need, and overall you can tell the cabin was built with safety/comfort in mind.
We will definitely be staying here again! Thanks Craig!

The property was secluded and delightful! We loved our time in the cabin and exploring the woods. Bed was comfy and the kids loved loft. Definitely worth the stop on out road trip to Washington DC.

I loved staying here as the cabin was well stocked with cleaning, eating/cooking, first aid, fire starting, coffee/tea, and more types of materials. The complimentary tank of gas for the generator was very helpful for lighting and cooling/heating the cabin. There is a nice front porch with 2 rocking chairs, a table, there’s 2 fire pits, a grill, a patio table with more chairs, complimentary kindling and chopped logs, plenty of trees to hang a hammock from, a bath house, an outdoor shower, and a personal creek. The whole experience was well worth it and enjoyable. Aaron was a very welcoming host as well.

As a person who lives in the city you often times forget what a get away in the woods will do to you and your mental health. I am so happy I booked with Aaron not only was he an amazing host that provided so many amenities, his little cabin in the woods definitely gave us the recharge we needed. It was so quiet and surrounded by the trees we absolutely adored it!

Weekend Trip to Possum Ridge Ranch
I love the bowman cabin it was extremely cozy and felt like home. The property is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. Definitely recommend going to the water falls total worth the hike. I would love to come back again soon!

Craig’s Cabin was awesome, it is a bit of a hike in but to be only 5 minutes from a shore and 12 minutes from town while being surrounded completely by nature with no neighbors to mind is wonderful. If you want nature with peace and quite Craig has done an amazing job! The cabin is comfortable and cozy with plenty of room, everything you need and nothing you don’t.
Last but not least… Holy crap Craig is amazing! Friendly, responsive, helpful, and a very down to earth host that makes you feel welcome!

Perfect stop for our trip. Nice to unplug, the bathroom was pleasant, not your typical outside bathroom. Loved the outside “sink” outside the bathroom. The cabin was cozy and we only needed the generator for my espresso machine 🤣even though they provided coffee! The lights around the site were helpful and pretty. Would definitely stay again.

As a solo female camper I felt 100% safe here. The hosts are way cool! Gorgeous property, very spacious, accommodates a variety of tastes from quiet solo to fun groups. The "fun barn" has games, a kitchen, music and even a claw machine (don't try for the stuffed turtle). Great trails and the friendliest ducks ever. I'm going back! Oh yeah - as mentioned in the listing it's best to get there before sundown, the roads are ridge/hollow twisty without lights. Signage at the ranch is great. Truly a special place.

Weekend Trip to Backwoods Hideaway
This site is so nice. It's the perfect spot to unwind and relax with your spouse or chill with your family. We were lucky enough to be there on the 4th of July (also my birthday) Aaron was so nice and invited us to his get together and fireworks. We had such a good time, and got to meet some of his family too. They were just as sweet and welcoming as Aaron, the all even made it a point to come tell me happy birthday too. His daughter and her husband were my favorite part of the weekend! She is so sweet and her husband is the same. We didn't really go exploring, as we just wanted a relaxing weekend, not exploring weekend. We did however venture to the little gas station down the road, they have really good food! We really just hung around and did whatever. It was so nice. The cabin is really nice, the host really has thought of everything in there. The bathroom is even outside, which really gave it an added touch of charm. He has completely stocked that place, he has everything a lady would need. The site itself was so beautiful, especially at night. It's really the perfect amount of off grid camping to disconnect, but enough convenience to create an amazing camp site. We will be back for sure!!

Second trip to the property was perfect. It was a lot warmer this weekend but with the canopy of trees and a beautiful breeze, it was far more cool than you'd guess. There's an ac unit if the breeze doesn't cooperate. This remains one of my favorite places to unplug.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The bed was comfortable and the cabin is very clean. My son loved playing in the creek. We enjoyed the little extras like the chocolate for s’mores and the games. Saw a turkey in the way out!

This spot was remote and secluded but easy to get to. It is surrounded by a beautiful creek and host Aaron thought of everything. This was truly a peaceful escape with the comforts of home but wild enough to feel truly refreshed. My pup Roxy and I cannot wait to be back.

We had such a great stay at this peaceful off-grid cabin in the woods. It was quiet, relaxing, and the perfect place to unplug. Our dog loved roaming around and exploring—definitely pet-friendly! Craig was a fantastic host and made sure we had all the info we needed before arrival. Just a heads-up: bring bug spray! We’re already planning our next trip back.

My dog and I had the best trip. Newbie "camper" here. The host was amazing leading up to my trip. Offered several extra accommodations and was very understanding of my being so green with using a generator. I will be rebooking OFTEN. Best place to unplug and unwind. It was all very clean. Hosts have done a great job with this area completely tucked away. You can hear an occasional car but nothing terrible at all. Dollar General is a little over 9 miles, I think. Small gas station is 3 miles. Walmart/Kroger is about 13ish miles away. There's a grill too! If you're looking for a simple woods retreat, look no further. You will not be disappointed.

Absolutely loved my stay at the Backwoods Hideaway! The perfect little spot to getaway! I loved listening to all the sounds of nature, rocking away on the porch encapsulated in a good book, reading by candlelight and listening to the whipporwills and sounds of the creek flowing falling to sleep! Couldn't asked for a better escape to relax and recharge! Thank you Aaron and family for opening up your lovely cabin for all to enjoy!
