We strive to provide a place to enjoy the peace & quiet of nature, so it's not a place to party or have music loud enough for any neighbours to hear.
Nestled in the heart of the Tamihi Recreational Area, just 20 minutes from town, our property offers a rare blend of seclusion and adventure. Surrounded on three sides by lush, moss-draped forest and bordered on the fourth by the stunning Chilliwack River, it’s a true nature lover’s paradise.
Enjoy a spacious riverside beach, great for swimming during the summer and fall & has world-class fishing. The area features Class I–IV rapids, ideal for whitewater kayaking, with Chilliwack River Rafting just minutes away.
There isn't river access at the sites. The stairs to the beach are through the covered picnic shelter. There is now a light wire fence along the river in riverfront sites for some protection because of the drop-off & undercut banks (not shown in the pictures).
We have an endless network of trails and logging roads, perfect for ATVs (ride directly out of our gate), hiking, and biking. Whether you’re seeking adrenaline or tranquility, this property offers both.
ATV's are idle in - idle out only.
QUIET, well-mannered, leashed pets are welcome if you pick up after them.
LONG WEEKENDS are a minimum of 3 nights.
CHILDREN MUST be accompanied by a parent at all times!
FIREWOOD is $9. for a large feed bag full & is available between 8 AM and 8 PM.
BEEF and EGGS: We have grass-fed Black Angus beef for sale and we occasionally have eggs from our pastured chickens.
Our free-range kind, gentle horses also wander the property. Any interactions with them are at your own risk! The gate must be kept closed because of them.
If you prefer, we have 6 bare-bones fishermen's cabins. All the details are on my Tamihi Meadows site under "Cabins".

Zender camp is located in Deming and is surrounded by beautiful views of the Nooksack River, Kendall Creek and mountains. The Campsite has Kendall Creek on one side and the north fork of the of the Nooksack River on the other side. In the distance you can see White Mountain, Bald Mountain and Church Mountain. Fisherman will appreciate that the Kendall Fish Hatchery is a neighbor to our campsite and 3 C’s wedding and event venue is less than 1/4 mile away!
Some of the many activities you might enjoy while staying here are fishing, eagle watching, hiking, camp fires, stargazing, and just being in nature to rejuvenate and relax. There are also many things to do nearby! We are less than a quarter mile from the North Fork brewery and 3 C’s wedding and event venue. We are 45 minutes from the Mount Baker ski Lodge and 9 miles away from the town of glacier.

A short two and a half minute trail walk with two sets of stairs (see photos) brings you to this little gazebo nestled high at the water’s edge. Secluded in nature, it provides a quiet escape with sweeping views of Mt. Baker, Portage Island and Bellingham Bay. It's the perfect backdrop for deep breathing, quiet reflection, and slowing down. Welcome to Lummi Island.
Lummi Island is one of many islands that make up the San Juans. Home of a little under 1000 permanent residents, it is one of the easiest assessable islands as it has a regular ferry that runs daily, on the hour every hour from roughly 6am-midnight. On the Island there is a restaurant, a convenience store, farmers markets in the summer months, farm stands, artist tours and a delicious coffee cart most Thursday-Sundays. There are multiple public beaches, and this particular spot is part of the "Scenic Estates" which offers additional amenities including a swimming lake, playground, marina and boat launch all assessable within a 3 minute drive.
The gazebo is a truly unique camping experience. There is a potty tent with a portable toilet. Please pack in and out all things. There is an option to rent a propane tank with a fire pit for an additional charge, but we ask no recreational fires as there is no water access at the gazebo.
This property does have neighbors, but is pretty private. Please be respectful of them as well as Mother Nature. The outdoors await!

June Bud Farms was established in 1960s.
Blending two single parents, each with 4 kids. While June & Bud raised 8 kids, they collected Registered Holsteins for their quaint dairy. As the Dairy grew to 110 acres home to 120 heifers', they soon had to add an additional milking parlor. From milking 4 cows to a staggering 12 at once, Bud made the paper for the cutting edge technology!
As time marches on, the kids all grown, the little farm retired. Fast forward to 2020, its time to breath new life into this stout and sturdy barn. Cows are not in the current foreseeable future, but flowers are. We will carry on the name of Grandma June and Grandpa Bud. The play on the names is still quite fitting, and June Bud Farms continues to live on.
Now, we warmly welcome visitors to our farm, where they can create cherished memories while camping and hosting events, whether large or small. Enjoy the tranquil landscapes of Whatcom County here at June Bud Farms.

Secluded river haven nestled on the west bank of the glacially fed North Fork of the Nooksack river, this peaceful property sits directly on the river bank surrounded by wildlife and nature. Big leaf maple trees provide shade throughout the day. Resident bald eagles, the occasional brown eagle, blue heron, trout, owls, beavers and all five species of native salmon are a few potential wildlife encounters. Various types of edible berries including salmonberries, thimbleberries, elderberries, mountain blackberries, huckleberries and of course blackberries. Every morning provides a symphony of song birds welcoming the rising sun with a good chance of sharing the river with bald eagles and blue herons. Beautiful sunrises overlooking the North Fork and pink alpenglow over slide mountain with the setting sun. 30 minutes from Bellingham bay, 30 minutes from Mount Baker ski area and extensive hiking trails and mountain lakes, 30 minutes from the Canadian border, 45 minutes from North Cascades National Park. The North Fork Brewery is a 2 minute drive north for great food and beer. Multiple grocery stores within 10 minutes. Activities include fishing, swimming, kayaking, rafting, photography, bird watching, sunbathing, earthing, yoga or just relaxing by the fire watching the river.

This is such a lovely place to stay. The vibe is good, it’s peaceful and chill. Close to Ferndale and Bellingham. This is my second time staying here and both times have been awesome. It feels very safe. It’s very clean. Jordy and his wife are great and so is their dog. Highly recommend!

Everything! Heathers communication was exceptional. She was very welcoming & an excellent host .Site was easy to locate & situated where I wanted to be. Gorgeous spot! The gazebo fit us 2 + our dog super comfortably, even in a rainstorm overnight. Beautiful place on a lovely and chill island. Wouldn’t recommend for folks with mobility concerns, but we had no problems carrying stuff in.

This spot is amazing! I will certainly be coming back here. You have beautiful views of the mountains and it feels completely private! The second campsite is up its own little road so you have a very secluded little spot to yourself. There are trails that follow the riverside. My pup and I really enjoyed our stay - lots of running down the beach and enjoying the sunset after a day full of exploring around Bellingham and Chuckanut! Highly recommend this spot.

Weekend Trip to Sunset Ridge
My bf and I really enjoyed staying here at Sunset Ridge! The RV was so cozy and had everything we needed to stay! We loved the outdoor seating area. Nice view! We spent most of our time in Bellingham which was a short 15 minute drive away. We also loved Shaum's dogs 😊 They came to greet us at least once a day! Shaums was so attentive to our stay but also gave us space to enjoy the area! Definitely recommend staying here! Looking forward to coming back to explore more of the trails, the nearby lake, and doing a bonfire! We were here during the fire ban.
