We are located on top of Bunker Hill nestled between the Dunn creek and Chehalis river. Our property is 56 acres of mixed biomes including multi-generational forests, open meadows, and creek side trails. We are located right off Chandler Road, off of Highway 6. You turn onto Labri road (white sign) and you're on the property after going through a gate.
Meander down the road past a red barn and several buildings on your right.
Through the second gate, the dispersed camping site offers various sites for camping attached to a main trail that parallels the Dunn creek down to the Chehalis river. They are conveniently accessible off the logging roads which cross with Labri road after you've passed through the second gate. If you take the logging road to the left (look for a blue and white ribbon) you will come up to a tree line where you can park (another blue and white ribbon) and either take the trail to the left or right where you will find ample places to camp.
You may camp along the trail or closer to the creek. The most ideal spot is right after you park near the blue and white ribbon if you walk North you'll see a site marked with an orange and white ribbon. This site has easy access to the creek but is still on a hill.
There are four RV spots with full onsite hook-up. Two of the RV sites are paved and lit with ground lights and are prioritized for heavier rigs. The other two sites are on grass. We have two RV sites with no hook up (boondocking) but bathroom and shower access. We do not allow dumping of grey water or sewage at our property but there is a dump station just 1 minute away at Rainbow Falls State Park.
The site is located on a hill so you get very nice view of sunsets and sunrises. For those who enjoy bird watching the nearby fruit trees bring in many birds.
We are an ideal location for those who love the outdoors or just want to have private family events.

Merriman Creek is nestled under a canopy of old growth Maple Trees next to our Nightly Rental, The River's Edge, on the South Shore of Lake Quinault.
At the request of our nightly rental customers, we have added secluded dry camping sites for our guests and for those wanting to enjoy the Lake Quinault area. Due to USFS Campground closures and high demand, we are happy to provide a place for campers to spend a night or two as they enjoy Lake Quinault. The Hipcamp location is approx 100 yards away from our Rental House and it is secluded and provided. Preferably this is a walk-in tent site Hipcamp, but if the weather is dry, you may drive in with your car or camper van. Please be mindful of other campers as this is an open field nestled under old growth Maple Trees. Quiet Hours and respectful camping etiquette should be followed.
We have a communal fire pit in the middle of the 3 acre parcel, 7 sites in total and a clean and new Porta-Potty toilet. There is no water on site so please bring your own water. You may also bring your own portable propane fire pit should you wish not to use the communal fire pit. We hope this description helps!
Site 1 is best suited for a camper van. Everyone must pass by this site to get to the other sites. SIte 1 is also closest to the Porta Potty.
Site 5 and 6 are in the very back of the property and might be best if you are camping with another family. Site 7 is closest to the fire pit.
One tent per space please. You are welcome to message the Host for any questions, we are very accommodating and can also help you plan your trip and advise on things to do. We also have a brand new cabin 1/2 mile up the Valley from our Merriman Creek Hipcamp that also can be rented through the Hipcamp Platform.

The level, paved rv site was great! We enjoyed walking the trails to the peaceful creek and around the property. The wifi is not strong but it is a great place to relax and unwind. David was kind and fun to talk with and shared some of his delicious apples with us. We plan on returning in the spring to see a much higher creek and for some more peace and quiet and amazing views of stars without any light pollution.

Beautiful place to stay while we explored Rainbow Falls state park. We had site 1 which is flat, paved and has full hookups. The grounds are surrounded by trees and two lush trails, just gorgeous, very well maintained. Peaceful and quiet. Would definitely stay here again if in the area!

We had the fortune of having the place to ourselves, but even if we didn't I would go back again.
We enjoyed the remote and quiet that David's space offered. Easy walk through the woods to the creek and river, and lots of space for our dog! Site was level and even had small lights on the ground that helped guide the back in since we showed up after dark.

David's father, Dan, stopped by to welcome us and talk about his property some. He has a wonderful passion for plants and we really enjoyed talking with him!

Had such a great time camping at this spot! The property is so beautiful, the creek is cute and leads to the river, there’s all kinds of trails along the water and through the, old growth trees. Even my 13 year old was enjoying herself enough to not be glued to her phone lol ;). Everything was really well kept, clean, and the vibe was very relaxing. The hosts are also so kind and welcoming, you can tell they really love the place and they’re very cool people.
Highly recommend, perfect to get away from busy-life and reset!

It's a small pasture surrounded by beautiful trees, there is no privacy from other campers but the sites are spread out. The site was all lush green grass even in Aug, I walked around barefoot most of the time. The huge maple trees were gorgeous, especially at sunset and sunrise. Negatives: our site was in direct afternoon sun (91° that day) it was hot, I asked Kellie a question through HC and she never answered, and the port-a-john was pretty gross, no toilet paper, hadn't been cleaned in 6 days.

This venue was absolutely perfect for our family reunion! The host was a phenomenal communicator, helped us with logistics to make everything went smoothly, and was a pleasure to interact with. My family (which is 30 people of all ages and demographics) all agree that we would love to go back for future events. Perfect spot for our one night stay! Just a few miles from Lake Quinault (South Shore), campsite was well maintained and site spacious enough for our campervan. The property was very quiet and peaceful. The mountain views were incredible. We especially enjoyed sunset and watching the herd of 40+ elk grazing down the road. The sites appear to be close together, and there were no other campers, so can 't really comment on crowded/not crowded, or noise concerns. Would we come back? Absolutely. Happy Camping!

We were having trouble finding a campsite and were relieved to book here last minute. That said, we were a bit disappointed. The sites are very close together, and it felt more like a shared field than individual campsites. If you enjoy primitive or private camping, this probably isn’t the spot for you. One frustrating moment was when other campers changed clothes right in the middle of the shared area, which felt uncomfortable and inconsiderate. Other than that great spot, beautiful scenery.

We booked this Hipcamp for our family reunion, and it could not have been more perfect! The hosts were absolutely amazing—so warm, friendly, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. They truly went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and memorable.
The property itself is stunning! There’s tons of space to spread out, which was perfect for our large group. The trails were a huge hit with everyone—beautiful paths to wander, explore, and enjoy nature.
One of the highlights was the incredible garden the hosts maintain. We were able to purchase fresh produce right from the property, which was such a treat and added a special touch to our meals.
This is the kind of place you want to come back to again and again. If you’re looking for a peaceful, spacious, and welcoming spot for a group gathering, this is the one!

What an amazing spot. We had a great time here. Great privacy area as we drove through this cute trail to our camping area. The people were very friendly and welcoming. We got to go on a beautiful side hill walk on some trails and picked some berries. Enjoy seeing all the animals and chickens. Thank you for such a great experience. I highly recommend this area for your next camping adventure.
