This property fronts Kelso Lake, which is a motorboat free 55 acre lake located half way between Coeur d’Alene and Sandpoint, just a 15 minute drive to Silverwood Theme Park. This is the ideal spot to spend time kayaking, catching up around the campfire, fishing, and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. If you keep your eyes peeled you may see blue heron’s, bald eagles, and if your quiet the beaver may swim past and say hello! This property is a half acre at the edge of the Kelso Lake community. This property is ideally located less than a 20 min drive to Farragut State Park, Lake Pend Oreille, Bayview, and Silverwood Theme Park. If you are trailer camping you will have to back in from the public roadway up an incline to access the spot. If you aren't comfortable backing your trailer in this spot might not be for you. We also welcome tent and van campers! There is a fire ring, a picnic table, tiki bar, decks, chairs, and an outhouse. There is a trail down to the dock where you can launch kayaks, paddle boards or canoes. New this season, 4 kayaks included with your stay!! The property is situated on the end of the lake with lily pads and beaver dens…. its beautiful but not the best swimming spot! If you want to take a dip in the lake the public boat launch is less than a half mile down the road! Enjoy a peaceful stay while still being close to it all. Looking to do some hiking? We are loaded with nearby alpine lakes, peaks, and more trails to suit your needs and adventure cravings. Danny has hiked the majority of them in the area and is always up to help plan and recommend local hikes. Furthermore, we are nearby and centralized to many must-see places. As stated, Silverwood Theme Park and Farragut State Park (including their gun range) are all located ten minutes or less from our property. Other places to see include Bayview, Idaho and Sandpoint, Idaho - both situated on beautiful Lake Pend Oreille. Things to note: -Your site will be fully stocked to meet your tent camping needs! This includes a picnic table, a smokeless fire pit, fire starting materials, and a pad or pads to accommodate your tent(s). -Nicely sized firewood bundles will be available for purchase. -Our campground has a fully functioning outhouse that we take great pride in maintaining to ensure cleanliness and a pleasant experience. It may just be the biggest outhouse you’ve ever seen! -At this time, our campground is off-grid but we do intend to bring water and power to it with time. Upon request and availability, we may be able to assist you with water needs via a garden hose. Your site will have a large six gallon container of non-potable water to be used in the case of a fire emergency (if safe to do so). -Dogs are allowed, but must be kept on a leash. Weekend Trip to Beaver Bay

Beaver Bay was such a beautiful and fun place for a weekend camping trip with the fam. Kids and our dog had plenty of space to play and explore, and the kayaks were a great addition so we all had the opportunity to paddle on the lake. The water a ways out from the dock is pretty deep which was so refreshing for a quick swim! There was more than enough space for our trailer, two tents, and three cars. The extra table made a nice camp kitchen area. There are a few neighbors nearby, which was no problem especially with the privacy fencing and trees, we were more than able to relax and enjoy the outdoors peacefully. At night, you can hear train horns as they pass through nearby, which didn’t bother us but if you’re sensitive to that you might consider ear plugs if you’re tent camping. Thanks for sharing this spot with us, we hope to visit again soon!

We had such a great time at this spot. Unfortunately the smoke is bad right now but we still managed to enjoy ourselves. The view is incredible, super clean port-a-potty and everything was very clearly laid out for us to effectively utilize the site. We are definitely coming back again! Not buggy this time of year except for some yellow jackets.

Cute little spot nestled in the woods. This worked perfectly for our Silverwood trip. Camp was clean and tidy along with the provided restroom. Our host Tessa was very sweet and informative. We will be back!

This is 'The Bee Tree' site and it shows the whole scene. Guests will get their own private smokeless firepit, picnic table, and two clover tent pads.

Tessa’s setup is pretty much ideal for rural camping. Nights are quiet and the campsite itself is well organized, a lot of small little touches that makes it enjoyable. Communication is excellent. Silverwood is 10 minutes away, definitely recommend this !

Had a great weekend camping at 5 acre woods. We had the Bee Tree site and loved the setup. Easy access to tons of hiking and outdoor activities as well as Silverwood. There is some neighborhood noise, vehicles, dogs, etc., but nothing unexpected. Quiet at night and great hospitality from the hosts. Well worth the stay!

Monika was so kind and helped us above and beyond. We tent camped down by the lake. Bring a small rake if you camp lakeside due to goose droppings. As others have posted train runs every couple of hours so bring ear plugs for a sound night sleep.

Amazing clean space and easy to find!! We arrived later in the evening, but the signs and directions were clear! We were even able to find “The Pot” with the helpful light at the top! The water was a plus, we’re on a road trip and have a water jug for hand washing and teeth brushing on the go, was nice to refill without any hassle! Tessa is very sweet, we were expecting to arrive later than the check in time and there were no issues, she told us to come on in and not worry about a thing! 10/10 would 100% stay again!!!

Loved tent camping in the Daisy Den! Very quiet area and the composting toilet outhouse was incredibly clean and so pretty?! Easy to find and the hosts were so good about directions, extra amenities like the luxury firepit and extra wood for sale. Highly recommend and will be camping with them again! <3

My husband, our 4 year old son, and myself tent camped at Stephen’s place for one night before a trip to Silverwood. We loved the included kayaks and thoughtful outdoor furniture throughout the campsite. Our only “complaint” would be the bathrooms— the permanent one didn’t seem to be working properly, and the port-a-potty desperately needed to be serviced! We know that it’s a rarity to find a campground with clean, nice smelling toilets, though, so it didn’t affect our stay all that much. It felt private, even though it’s right next to a well-traveled road, and it was pretty quiet at night— nothing but crickets! We had a great night camping here and recommend it.

We stayed here along a long trip to get away from the crowds and slow down for a few days. The lake front site was incredible, our dog and son and a great time playing in the warm water all day. There were a lot of bugs, and the weather was hot, but there’s nothing anyone could do about that. The bathrooms were small but clean. It was very quiet at night, despite the nearby train track. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

There was another group of campers there too but I never felt like we were too cramped. The restroom there was tidy and I loved that there was a little sports court out back. Thanks again!

This was our first time ever staying on a Hipcamp property. I came across Hipcamp without even really knowing what it was when searching camp grounds around athol, Idaho. We started packing up to head to Idaho really not knowing where we were going to stay. It was then that I went back into my emails as I recalled something being sent to me during all my clicking on campgrounds around the area. It was then that I downloaded the app and started searching around that I found Tessa’s Hipcamp in athol, Idaho. It sounded and looked so cute! I felt a sense of safe. She couldn’t have been more descriptive on the app. Loved how I could do everything directly through the app. Tessa was super responsive through inbox and couldn’t have explained to us any better how to get to her place. We were driving about 7 1/2 hours away from home and weren’t sure if we were going to make the full drive that night or not. She was super accommodating and told us if we decided to make the full drive that arriving at 11:30pm would not be a problem at all. This is when she sent us additional directions with photos to help us even better find her place in the dark. Her Hipcamp needless to say was a breeze to find. She hung some lights and left additional batteries on our picnic table with a flashlight to help us see in the dark when we arrived. The area was secluded behind their place in evergreens. We felt just like we were camping in the forest back home. I can’t say enough in 1500 words!
