The lands of Camp MoxyJo's were such fun from vintage glamping trailers and camper vans to multiple kitsch-filled common areas for communal cooking, play & hanging out. Having grown up in the 1960s, I felt I was immersed in joyful memories of my young adulthood everywhere I walked on the Camp MoxyJo's grounds. My young grandchildren loved roaming the campground, feeding the goats, and being introduced to the art of darts--intergenerational memory making.

We had an awesome night out in the Wooded Glade site. This was our Shepherd's first camping trip and it was a huge success. Justin's property is wonderful, and we loved walking around on the hiking trail.

We loved the trailer site right beside the Butter Creek. The sound of babbling creek was incredibly soothing. Shelly came out to meet us and get us situated, Joe was there when we had a question. We left daily to go to the national park and felt secure in leaving everything. Shelly provided great laundry facilities on the last day and we took chairs and lunch down to the creek. It is full sun but with full hookup we were not uncomfortable. Wonderful hosts and location!

We loved camping in the Lone Cherry Grove! The site was just the right size for three tents, two hammocks, and parking at the edge. You can tell Justin has thought of everything. The shower was cold only because I didn’t wait for it to heat up—but it felt wonderfully refreshing. The fire pit is dreamy: large enough to cook over and gather around, with a wide gravel circle for peace of mind about stray sparks.
Even the portapotties were spotless (a rarity!) and came with the promise of cleanup if needed. The handwashing station next to them had soap and doubled as a place to fill our fire-safety bucket. Justin stopped by once to refill our water and check in—thoughtful without ever intruding. He was also quick to reply on the app and even answered when I called to confirm our site, which made arrival stress-free.
The land is flat, forested, and peaceful, with a beautiful walking trail that loops the property. If you want to step away, there’s a river, gas station, and burger joint only seven minutes out.
Our group of six all agreed: this Hipcamp is a hidden gem, and we’d love to return!

We loved Butter Creek Retreat! Joe was super friendly and welcoming. The site is right in the creek with easy access to the water via nice steps. There’s a nice mossy trail to walk through the woods right next to the site. Full hookups are super & worked without a hitch. We’ll definitely be back to Butter Creek Retreat!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this quiet spot on the creek in Packwood! The location is serene and peaceful, perfect for relaxing, enjoying nature, and unwinding from the hustle and bustle. Joe and Shelly were exceptional hosts—always friendly, responsive, and thoughtful. They made sure we had everything we needed, checked in just enough to be helpful without ever being intrusive, and their kindness truly made us feel welcome. The space was exactly as described, and it felt like a true retreat. We loved spending time by the creek and soaking in the peaceful surroundings. We’re already looking forward to our next visit and would highly recommend this spot to anyone seeking a calm and beautiful getaway.

We had a wonderful stay in the trailer! It was comfortable, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The place is actually much bigger than it looks in the photos, which was a great surprise. The amenities were excellent, and our kids especially loved feeding the goats — such a fun and memorable experience for them. Joanna was super responsive and made everything smooth from start to finish. Everything was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully arranged, which made our stay so easy and enjoyable. We would definitely recommend this place, especially for families with children.

We had a wonderful time at the lavender farm! The Lone Cherry Grove spot is secluded enough to feel like you're deep in the woods, but close enough to the owner's property that we felt very safe. The fire pit was the perfect ending to the busy day that we had before arriving, and we got a surprise visit from the very friendly farm cat while we were relaxing. The site is very close to a very clean porta potty. We didn't even heat up the water for the outdoor shower and it was incredibly refreshing. We arrived just after cut your own lavender season ended but were still able to buy some of Cowlitz Farm's products that Justin personally delivered to our campsite. They smell incredible! We would definitely stay again.

Very cute and calm spot for camping. The campsites are very far apart so you have lots of privacy. We had a well maintained gravel area with a fire pit, a bench and chairs, and even fire wood and tools to set up the fire. We lived the fast that our dogs could be off leash!
When you arrive at the farm, drive to the grey container and there’s a map with the campsite numbers there. The porter potty was full, but I guess it’s due to the long Labor Day weekend.

I really enjoyed camping here. The campsites were large and spread out enough that you definitely felt like you had your own space. My dogs and I enjoyed the trail around the property every morning and I loved the mountain views! I didn’t have a campfire, but there is a very nice fire pit and the wood is easily accessible. I appreciated the shower after my dusty hikes!!
