5 nights at The Arboretum at Bear Canyon West

As always, Barb and Terry are gracious hosts. We brings our dogs here every 4th of July so they dont have to deal will all the noise. The scenery is stunning. It's quiet and peaceful and just the place to unwind. Thanks again Barb and Terry!

3 nights at The Old Farm

this is a very nice spot, peaceful and beautiful, with friendly hosts and reasonably good access to Mount Rainier National Park. The level gravel pad had full hook ups and easily accommodated our 28 foot RV towing 8 foot cargo trailer. I highly recommend this camp if you are going to be in the area.

1 night at The Hideout

Great spot for water and electric hook ups. Fire pit, picnic table and port-a-potty! Super convenient location near mount rainier and great customer service!

I do not necessarily want to write a glowing review as I would love to keep this gem all to ourselves. New favorite place to camp. Private, serene, and pristine. Most immaculately maintained campground ever! Every site can hold 2 or 3 RVs at minimum. Barb and Terry are gracious hosts. Love escaping to their little piece of heaven on earth.

5 nights at Green Apple Alpacas

This was our first experience with staying on someone’s land. We had an amazing time at the farm! Loved the tour and watching daily life of the farm animals. On our last night we got to see hot air balloons flying over. Definitely a 10/10 experience! Would stay again and recommend the stay to everyone!

Weekend Trip to Deer Haven Family Farm

This is a nice quick and easy spot to stay at, that's just a short hop off I-5, yet takes you out of the noise and rush. We've stayed here several times on our way to and from Seattle to Southern Oregon. Full hookups are often hard to find at hipcamps but this spot is fully equipped. There's even a vault style toilet, an outdoor shower, and a trail to a creek in back of the house. The hosts are friendly and will make sure you have what you need.

4 nights at The Arboretum at Bear Canyon West

This is an amazing place! The sites are large with plenty of trees separating sites making it feel like you had the place all to yourself. We had a site with power and water and that was perfect. There was a ton of space to walk dogs, and the campsites without power/water are in a gorgeous park like setting where each site is its own separate greenspace with trees between each site. We walked the dogs on the gravel road to the campsites and saw deer and many different kinds of birds. The hosts are wonderful, offering to bring us firewood if we wanted to purchase some and checking to make sure everyone was settled. Barb is an AMAZING artist, you should definitely go check out her studio. I bought a few prints and some local honey. We met one of their pups Bella and she is so sweet! We will definitely be back!

2 nights at Skokomish Park At Lake Cushman

Well appointed park in the middle of beautiful woods right next to Lake Cushman. Our site felt like our own private mini forest. Would absolutely return for a future stay. I'm hoping the Wi-Fi will be improved.

3 nights at Wilderness Path

We had a great spot on Crystal’s land- plenty of space for parking and privacy from other campers; we camp with a 20 foot travel trailer. This was perfect for us… close to the road but noise at night was not a problem. There was a porta-potty we were allowed to use which we were happy about: clean and well- placed from our RV site. This site is on the road into Rainier National Park which we visited both days we stayed here- it was only about a mile to the park entrance. We visited in June (15-18; weekdays), weather was great and Rainier was not too crowded. We would definitely come here again. Thank you!

1 night at Riverside Camping Near Mt Rainier

So incredibly close to Mount Rainier. I felt safe and secure in this spot, really cute racoon in tree and a trail available right off the site. Showers and toilets are kept cleaned daily. Plenty of room on each site, so you don't feel crowded.

Weekend Trip to The Arboretum at Bear Canyon West

Absolutely amazing trip the only complaint I have is that 3 days was much too short. We cannot wait to go back! The campsite was fairly level perfectly maintained and very clean. The campground as a whole was beautiful. Barb and Terry are wonderful hosts very friendly and informative. We enjoyed talking with them and learning about how they started their Hipcamp. Barb is a wonderful and extremely talented artist and my wife and daughters took a class that they enjoyed very much. I highly recommend staying here. Thank you Barb and Terry the amount of care and attention you place into campsites are evident.

This is a great stopover camp. It is easy to use, pleasant surrounds, and quiet. So nice to get away from the highway. The hosts were very helpful and the sites are nicely spread out. We enjoyed the walk in back down to the creek. We would definitely stay here again.

Great place. Massive property in the water but campsites are very close to each other and it’s almost $100 per night. Staff is extra friendly.

Friendly hosts who were gracious and shared their animal families with us. Wide open area to park RV with a nice view. Preference was to be in the field and enjoy the animals as opposed to hook ups near the house. Easy access, good experience. Would definitely go back again.

Weekend Trip to Hood Canal Oyster Farm | Lilliwaup

It's a nicely done campsite. Fire pits, picnic tables, and full RV hookups. We were rooftop tents camping, but it was great to be able to plug in my CPAP machine. It's a very quiet spot, with the sound of rushing water from a nearby stream in the background.

The ranch is 23 acres partially wooded with a nature trail and open fenced paddocks and fields. We have a herd of horses on the property and offer Equine Assisted Learning and riding lessons onsite. Tent site is in wooded area at back of property, porta potty by the barn available. Water from spigot by tent site. Guests love it here: "What a nice surprise! I was not sure what to expect staying on a horse ranch, but it was everything I could have hoped for and more. Kristy was an awesome host and there was one other group up by the rv pad, but we hardly saw them. Dogs were very friendly and Kristy let us use a propane fire-pit to provide warmth and a fire for our tent site. The bathrooms were clean and there was some water by our site, but we did not use it. The camp, for the tent site… we arrived and she drove us all over her property and told us to just choose where we wanted to camp. We chose to stay in back of the horse area. While we could see the house from there, we didn’t care and if you want to move back in the woods further, there are spots back there too that would provide more privacy if you need that. This is a great site and a one of a kind experience being that close to the horses."

City Scape Homestead

We are located on a greenbelt off a dead end street. Enjoy the view of the city lights right outside your van or say hi to our two friendly goats. You might spot our resident coyotes or friendly bunnies during your stay. 10 minutes from the city but feels like you are out in your own private forest! Hose hook up and standard power outlet (15amp) available during your stay. Only a 10-15 minute uber/taxi to downtown or 5 minutes to nearby restaurants/bars. Not the most walkable but just a short car ride from most things! (Downtown, Alki Beach, Georgetown, Airport) We live in an urban setting so you may encounter noise from nearby vehicles, airplanes, fire trucks, etc. This site can only accommodate camper vans or class c motor homes no larger than 25ft. Driver will need to backdown our long driveway to park in the designated site on the side of our house. Please no more than three people and one vehicle. We may be able to make accommodations based on your situation but please message us first! We can only accommodate towable rvs no larger than 20ft in total length including trailer tongue. You must be able to backdown long driveway and park tow vehicle on street. Campfires are welcome in the designated fire pit at the bottom of our hill. Please note there are quite a few steep steps to get there. Please request using this area in advance. Option to purchase farm fresh eggs from our neighbors chickens. Half dozen are $5.00 and can be requested in advance. We operate our rental business out of our home so you may encounter driveway traffic during your stay.

Country Refuge Close to City

Offering a lovely, personal campsite area surrounded by beautiful trees nestled in the back of a ranch with horses (and chickens) just on the outskirts of the small, charming town of Yelm. (In some of the pictures you will see the horses in the area of the camp, but whenever there are campers they will not be turned out there.) There is 20 amp electric (which can safely power a 30 amp rv unless you run too many things at once) and water (hose). There is a porta-potty and a shower shed with a tankless water heater for your convenience. We also offer the option of a small bunk room in the barn. Heated and cooled (fan) with a small "kitchen" area, it has a pull out futon which sleeps 2. OPTION 1 has you supply bedding and towels and OPTION 2 has us supply them. 1 Hour to Mt. Rainier National Park. 1 1/2 hours to Olympia National Park. 2 1/2 hours to Mt. St. Helens. 1 hour to Seattle. Close to Puget Sound and loads of nature spots. Local hiking and fishing aplenty. Our property is surrounded by nature, yet only a 5 minute drive into town where you will find charming shops, restaurants, cafes and coffee houses. There is also a fabulous movie theater. And only 15 minutes to the Red Wind Casino. There is a railroad track next to the property, but it is only used on Tues. and Thurs. between 10 am and 1 pm when a short train passes by and then returns. Rarely, it may have an additional passing but not often and it has never run after dark or early morning. (It is a military train so pretty punctual). (Also, as we are only a 5 acre property, we are close enough to roads that you may hear some traffic. They are county roads though and not highly traveled for the most part.) **Trigger Warnings: We are near the military base of JBLM and so you will occasionally hear their military doings. Country neighbors occasionally do some target practice, so you may hear some shooting. As we are a horse property, we will also require that you sign a standard release of liability waiver.

RV+ Rainbow Falls / Willapa Trails

(This is a leave no trace site. You must take all of your garbage with you!) Just 1.5 hours from Seattle, Portland, Mt. Rainier, Mt. St. Helens, & Olympic National Park, just 3 minutes from Rainbow Falls State Park and 4 minutes from Willapa Biking Trail! We are located on top of Bunker Hill nestled between the Dunn creek and Chehalis river. Our property is 56 acres of mixed biomes including multi-generational forests, open meadows, and creek side trails. We are located right off Chandler Road, off of Highway 6. You turn onto Labri road (white sign) and you're on the property after going through a gate. Meander down the road past a red barn and several buildings on your right. Through the second gate, the dispersed camping site offers various sites for camping attached to a main trail that parallels the Dunn creek down to the Chehalis river. They are conveniently accessible off the logging roads which cross with Labri road after you've passed through the second gate. If you take the logging road to the left (look for a blue and white ribbon) you will come up to a tree line where you can park (another blue and white ribbon) and either take the trail to the left or right where you will find ample places to camp. You may camp along the trail or closer to the creek. The most ideal spot is right after you park near the blue and white ribbon if you walk North you'll see a site marked with an orange and white ribbon. This site has easy access to the creek but is still on a hill. There are four RV spots with full onsite hook-up. Two of the RV sites are paved and lit with ground lights and are prioritized for heavier rigs. The other two sites are on grass. We have two RV sites with no hook up (boondocking) but bathroom and shower access. We do not allow dumping of grey water or sewage at our property but there is a dump station just 1 minute away at Rainbow Falls State Park. The site is located on a hill so you get very nice view of sunsets and sunrises. For those who enjoy bird watching the nearby fruit trees bring in many birds. We are an ideal location for those who love the outdoors or just want to have private family events. 6 mi from Jones Creek Brewing, 7 mi from Evey's Cafe & Pe Ell, 20 mi from I-5, 69 mi Westport Quiet hours are from 11pm - 8am.

Good 'Dose' of Relaxation

You will find numerous hikes in the Olympic National Forest within a short drive, a gorgeous waterfall and swimming hole within 5 minutes, parks, Whitney Garden & Nursery, boat launches, crabbing, clamming & oyster digging, wildlife watching, enjoying the Hood Canal, and much more! Or, just sit back and relax in tranquility, as the property sits at the end of a cul de sac just before entering national forest land. Be sure to leash your pets and keep a good eye, as there are wildcats, coyotes, and bears in the area. Learn more about this land: Pull your RV or trailer onto this lot and take in the beautiful southwestern view of Mt. Jupiter ridge and a peek-a-boo view of the Dosewallips River! Listen closely, and you will hear the sounds of the river below. The lot is equipped with power and water hookups! Please be aware the water hookup is near the main gate entrance and the power is about 40 feet apart, so you may need a long hose (see pic). Enjoy the view from the large deck, firepit, or picnic table overlooking the river, valley, and mountains. This lot is truly a little slice of heaven! Within a few minutes, find yourself at Rocky Brook falls (see pics) for a spectacular view and even a swim if you so please! Pleasant Harbor Marina (also shown in pics) also within 10 minutes! You will also find many hiking trails and parks nearby! There is weak cell service on the lot, so you may or may not be able to connect. I get 1-2 bars with Sprint. While this property is not very far off the Dosewallips road (35 mph), it is generally very quiet and peaceful. You may hear cars and motorcycles from time to time, but very faintly. The lot is at about 350 ft. elevation, so you may get noise traveling up the valley from the residential community below (to which I belong), such as dogs, people using chainsaws, etc. There is hunting allowed in the national forest, so you could potentially hear guns in the distance during the day, but that is rare. There are a few close neighbors, so please be respectful and quiet, especially in the evening. Please bring your own firewood when campfires are allowed and please do not forage for firewood on or around the property. Lastly, while the sightings have been few and rare, the neighbors have seen bears, cougars, coyotes, and bobcats near their homes and this property. So keep an eye on your children and pets, especially if off-leash (your pet of course!) The property also slopes a bit where the deck starts, so again, keep a close eye on the kiddos. You have a very good chance of seeing the local Roosevelt Elk that travel in huge herds around Brinnon (See pics). They sometimes lay down and hang out on the grass on the property! Make sure your pets have their flea and tick updates!

After settling in and realizing what amazing natural beauty we had, we got to work developing our garden, orchards, trails, fire pits and….Campsites! After building a camp site for our family, we decided that we wanted to share this amazing space with other families to enjoy! We built Hidden Meadow to be the campsite that we have always searched for on our family adventures, surrounded by nature, away from the hustle and bustle of the world, with trails for hiking and a HOT TUB to relax in, in the evening! We hope that you enjoy it! About the property: We are located on a very private property (the only houses you will see are across the inlet) surrounded by nature but only about 10 minutes from downtown Olympia and 5 minutes from I-5 and Lacey. The property is situated on the very south end of Henderson Inlet. We are on the tide flats so twice a day (at high tide) we have the opportunity to explore on the water in canoes and kayaks. The property is spread over 16 acres and is comprised of two large fields (one in front of our home and the other is a smaller meadow off to the side (hidden meadow) and forest land. There is tons of space for playing, exploring and tiring out your kids and pups! Wildlife is abound with eagles, hawks, owls, falcons, shore birds and a variety of forest birds make this place their home. We are also frequented by the local deer who wonder through and say hi. About the campground: The campground is located in the far northeast corner of the property on the edge of the forest and meadow. In the common areas you will find the bathroom which has a shower and a toilet. The toilet is a porta-potty and the shower is propane headed. There is also a supply closet at the bathroom that has the yard games and extra supplies. There is a hottub situated right on the edge of the forest with peek-a-boo views of the inlet. You will also find garbage and recycling bins as well as a sink for washing hands (please water only down the sink). We have provided soap that is biodegradable for the sink and shower to help reduce our impact on this beautiful environment. There are trails throughout the forest along the 600 feet of water (tide) front. Along the trails you will find several different benches, seats and swings to relax and enjoy nature from. There is also several fairies and gnomes who have been sighted in the forest. If you look closely, you might spot one too! We ware, if you touch a fairy or gnome they do lose their magical powers so please respect the mystical creatures. 😊 The sites are about 500 feet from our house and offers great privacy. You may see us throughout the day and evening coming and going from the campground, working on the property or playing with the kids on the trails! Dogs: We do have two dogs on the property (Wilma and Bean) who are very friendly and we will keep them out of camp during your stay. Although they typically follow us when we walk down there. We allow dogs to be off leash at owner’s risk. There may be other dogs in camp so please use discretion when letting your dogs off leash and be mindful of other campers. You must be responsible for your own dogs, we are not responsible for any dog related or dog inflicted injuries. Getting here: We are off of Sleater Kinney Rd in Olympia. We have a long, steep, curvy driveway. At the bottom of the driveway, you will find signs directing you to the camp site. If you have extra vehicles, we have extra parking spaces adjacent to the campsite. The road out to camp may be bumpy (we do our best to keep it smooth) so go slow and beware of natural obstacles. Rules: 1. Check in time is 2:00pm or later. For afterhours arrivals, please let us know. 2. Check out time is 12:00pm or earlier 3. Quiet hours from 9pm to 8am. You are far from our house, so we can’t hear you but sound travels well over the water to our neighbors. Nobody wants grumpy neighbors, please be respectful. 4. Remain within the campground boundary during all times. If you need us, please feel free to text or call. 5. Please put all trash in the trash cans or take it with you. 6. Remove all dog doo and dispose of in the trash. 7. Leave what you find (except ripe blackberries). Please leave any forest treasures where you found them. 8. Cleanup any debris left from firewood/camp activities before departing. 9. Enjoy nature and respect it. Please stay on trails and respect the plants and the natural habitats. 10. Stay off the dock. It is closed for repair. 11. Do not use the trailside fireplace (if you find it) or our personal canoe or kayaks. However, feel free to enjoy the view from the seats by the fireplace. 12. Be cautious when walking around, the ground is bumpy and there are exposed tree roots that can be tripping hazards. We are not responsible from injuries. 13. Help us keep it clean- if you find any garbage around, please pick it up or let us know. 14. Keep fires small and when you are finished PUT YOUR FIRES DEAD OUT! There are 5 gallon buckets by each fire put to fill before you start your fire for putting them out. 15. Please do not burn trash or food. It can create issues with the wildlife. The Arboretum at Bear Canyon West

This is a gorgeous park-like RV campground situated between the trees of the arboretum. No tents, please. Also we have NO public restrooms. Beautiful view of the mountains and forests here in western Washington. We are close to Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier and several lakes. There are walking trails all around the site. The 12 acre campground is located on a 136 acre property that is an active Christmas tree farm. Trails continue throughout the tree farm. Many trails have a view of the Tilton River, which can be reached via a challenging 3/4 mile trail. Sites are on 10 acres planted with many different species of trees that are about 30 years old. Giant Redwoods, Cedars, and Maples are just a few of the varieties present. Part of the farm is still a working Christmas tree farm. The trails are wide and grassy. The old logging road that we use as a trail to the river has an elevation change of about 500 feet, the trail can be quite challenging. Bear Creek empties into the Tilton river at the end of the trail. There is an ART GALLERY where you can learn to pound flowers, see the host's artwork and get a cup of coffee! This is upstairs above the shop, right on the property. Tilton River Studio Gallery. Three sites have electrical hookups. Every site has a water spigot (use a pressure regulator if you want to hook up). No restrooms or sewer hookups. Garbage disposal site available Memorial Day to Labor Day.
