Skokomish Park at Lake Cushman, formerly known as Camp Cushman or Lake Cushman State Park, covers over 500 acres with three boat-launch ramps on the 41,500 feet of freshwater shoreline on Lake Cushman.
Park facilities include campsites, RV pull-thru and back-in sites, walk-in campsites, and two group camping areas. Plus, two fantastic day-use areas with picnic sites, a picnic shelter, and comfort stations located throughout the park.
The natural beauty of the area can be explored on any of our trails. The eastern part of the Olympic Peninsula has loads of great trails around us in the Olympic National Park. Trailheads nearby include Big Creek, Mount Rose, Mount Ellinor, Dry Creek, Copper Creek, Wagonwheel Lake, Staircase Rapids, Big Log Camp, and Flapjack Lakes. Mount Ellinor Trail is rated 5 stars by many.

Merriman Creek is nestled under a canopy of old growth Maple Trees next to our Nightly Rental, The River's Edge, on the South Shore of Lake Quinault.
At the request of our nightly rental customers, we have added secluded dry camping sites for our guests and for those wanting to enjoy the Lake Quinault area. Due to USFS Campground closures and high demand, we are happy to provide a place for campers to spend a night or two as they enjoy Lake Quinault. The Hipcamp location is approx 100 yards away from our Rental House and it is secluded and provided. Preferably this is a walk-in tent site Hipcamp, but if the weather is dry, you may drive in with your car or camper van. Please be mindful of other campers as this is an open field nestled under old growth Maple Trees. Quiet Hours and respectful camping etiquette should be followed.
We have a communal fire pit in the middle of the 3 acre parcel, 7 sites in total and a clean and new Porta-Potty toilet. There is no water on site so please bring your own water. You may also bring your own portable propane fire pit should you wish not to use the communal fire pit. We hope this description helps!
Site 1 is best suited for a camper van. Everyone must pass by this site to get to the other sites. SIte 1 is also closest to the Porta Potty.
Site 5 and 6 are in the very back of the property and might be best if you are camping with another family. Site 7 is closest to the fire pit.
One tent per space please. You are welcome to message the Host for any questions, we are very accommodating and can also help you plan your trip and advise on things to do. We also have a brand new cabin 1/2 mile up the Valley from our Merriman Creek Hipcamp that also can be rented through the Hipcamp Platform.

I continue to try to be a good steward to this little piece of land with very big trees. One side faces my studio with drive through access to a bunkhouse and hookups and the other is tent camping with room to explore. With a dog yard available you will be able to relax and enjoy.

Very clean and extremely well maintained. Great walking and easy access to gorgeous Lake Cushman. There’s even an outdoor movie theater for a fun weekend night with friends and family.

Wonderful little spot north of Hoquiam! Sandy was very friendly and accommodating . I was the only one there when I went. The spot is near a road but it wasn’t too loud, it was quite peaceful at night!

The location of these sites are amazing. Easy access to the beach and main road in town. We stayed under cover but the other site wasn’t booked so we had the place to ourselves very spacious and all the hook ups were easy and worked perfectly. Quiet area. Would recommend to anyone.

Carl’s property was so beautiful. I loved the sound of the creek and the wind chime. The set up is so great! Nice private space with a fence and loved the lights around the exterior of the property. He had it looking so good with some awesome little decorations. Very inviting and so peaceful. So many deer came by in the evening.
We felt welcomed by both Carl and his wife. I would definitely recommend Spike Camp to all!

We had a wonderful time here. The camping area was very private and I like that it was gated. The grounds were nice, surrounded by trees and bushes, so it felt like being in your own private park. We were the only people there the first night, and the couple who came for the rest of the weekend were very nice.
All the hookups worked fine and it was really nice to have them. It was a healthy walk to the beach, but you could hear the ocean from the camping area. It’s too bad there was a burn ban, because we could have had our own campfire, but there was also a covered communal fire pit that looked very inviting. Elisa obviously worked hard to make it such a nice place to camp, and we will definitely go there again.

Skokomish Park At Lake Cushman is a great campground. Very wooded, so it stayed cool all day. Most sites are fairly roomy; we had a 22’ camper and a 10 person tent with plenty of space between. Fun activities for the kids; scavenger hunt, yard games, playground, giant outdoor movie screen showing classics on the weekends (Shrek and Princess Bride for our weekend). Lakefront rocky beach, boat launch, kayak rentals, general store. We loved it!
