We are bringing a lovely old horse farm back to life and have found some incredible places to camp. Come enjoy our 15 acres while lounging in the stargazing hammock circle or enjoy some privacy in the peaceful forest. We are always adding to our land and building a place to remember. Nestled in Greenbank Washington on Whidbey Island. This 15-acre farm is just starting out... it takes way more work then this city girl knew how to do. You can find seasonal fruit like Blackberries, Cherries, Apples, and Salmon Berries in abundance between July-September. Lots of wildlife roam our open fields and wooded surroundings. Bald Eagles, Red Tail Hawks, and Barn Swallows fly overhead while Quail and their little babies run around the property. We are visited by many deer and the occasional coyote (they are afraid of us, so you don't have to worry about them hanging around). We are a small family and a Grandma, so you may see us working the field, building a structure, or just laying in the stargazing hammock circle. We have no problem giving you space or you can come hang out, we love meeting new people and have tons of tips about Whidbey. (Like, the blueberry stand in Freeland, Mutiny Bay Blues, is DELICIOUS. We can let you know if the stand is open and where it is or you can find them on Instagram.)  Fern Gully is 2 minutes from amazing sandwiches and cold Topo Chico (sparkling mineral water) or a bottle of wine at Greenbank Pantry. It’s a 6-minute drive to South Whidbey State Park, where you'll find great hiking along the coast. Just 5 minutes to Lagoon Point County Park where you can fish and watch for whales.  The always awesome, Greenbank Farm is 4 minutes up WA-525, there you can find Whidbey Pies, food, wine, cheese, art, and great hiking trails with fantastic views of the Puget Sound, as well as a large off-leash dog park.  Also, if you are looking for some, on-the-water fun check out Whidbey Island Boats and Boards at  Wibb .us (i can't write out the entire website, so just omit the space) You can rent kayaks or paddleboards.  I would like to mention this farm believes Black Lives Matter, magic is real and we are LGBTQ+ allies.

Site 4 - Fern Gully
This was a fabulous stay! We had our dogs (who have good recall) off leash at site 4 and we definitely felt far enough away from the other sites and the hosts house for the dogs not to bother anyone. The host was fabulous and very friendly! The campsite was cozy and exactly what we needed! Only thing was it was pretty buggy (mosquitos) so bring a citronella candle and repellent! We HIGHLY recommend!!

Site 6 (flat field)
Close to the bathrooms, shower, and hammocks. We had to bring 2 cars to fit our party and there were no issues being able to park both near our site. We brought a shade tent which was nice to have for both sun and mosquitos.

Cute, clean camping!
I loved tent camping here! There was the rustic feel of the site, but it had the fire pit and felt safe because of the water jugs. It was great having the bath house and the port-a-potty, so we could still be clean. It was easy to find and close to a lot of things. There were a lot of people, but it was still quiet and our spot was secluded. Definitely recommend!

It’s a beautiful piece of land we camped by the fenced field not in the forested area it was pleasant water sink was good for washing dishes but floor was actually breaking thru the floor boards so don’t count on the bathtub situation in its condition overall it’s a beautiful spot just rough it and enjoy

Island Camping
Our stay at Fern Gully was excellent. Morgan has a nice setup. We stayed in site 1. The site will fit pretty much any size tent(ours is 10x14). The portable bathrooms are clean and not to far from the sites. The shower is entertaining, it is functional but could use some work. The bath house is cute. We didn't need to interact with Morgan so aside from waving a few times we were left alone. The site is private. We enjoyed the central location on the island so we could explore the area.

Lovely! Idyllic setting on a farm. Very easy to get to and campsites are well labeled. It was a perk to have a hot shower too! Perfect place to camp.
