Ocean Shores is known as a small charming coastal community with an abundance of recreational and cultural activities. It is also surrounded by miles of sandy beaches on the Pacific Ocean as well as Grays Harbor. Its 23 miles of inter-connected canals and lakes charm you with their breathtaking views. Surrounded by trees and vegetation you will have all the privacy you seek as you are the only campers here. This is a very large space to share with those of your choosing. There are no "lights out" or "quiet times" for you to worry about. Large open space for camping with friends and family to gather and enjoy each others company. Dogs are able to be leash free and enjoy the space as well. Only a ten min private walk to the ocean through the dunes to enjoy beautiful sandy beaches, kite flying, picnics on the beach, day camping, amazing sunsets and so much more. Rubber boots (maybe some waders, depending on the winter) are recommended for the hike to the beach during the winter months (November-May) as you will have a small trek through seasonal wet lands. You may also access the beach/ocean by vehicle just a few minutes away in town. You will be located between the Quinault Casino and the City of Ocean Shores where you can enjoy all the wonderful activities there is to offer. If kayaking, canoeing or paddle boarding is what you are seeking, many are unaware of the 23 miles of scenic canals in the City of Ocean Shores. You may also fish for bass, rainbow trout, yellow perch and bluegill sunfish in these waterways. I hear there are a couple little Islands to explore as well. What a hidden treasure! There are three launch sites available we can give if needed. And if you left something at home, sitting there thinking he was going to grab it (haha) no worries, you more than likely can grab it in town. The Ace hardware is amazing! There is an Arcade, golf, miniature golf, go carts, water go carts, bowling, horseback rentals (seasonal) for the beach, electric bike rentals, scooter rentals and so many more activities for you to enjoy. A wonderful place where memories are made.

Our beachin camp is located on the Longbeach, Washington Peninsula. It's a dry camp, for now. It's less than a half mile to the ocean. We have four sites available. Each site has a cute cinder block firepit. Its perfect for RV's or tent sites. As you turn onto the property you will be met with a gate. To identify the correct property you will see two small brick pillars at the entrance. Please be sure the keep the gate closed when not in use. Upon entering the gate, our campsites are located along the LEFT-hand side and are distinguishable by the 4 built-in block firepits. (Please note: the campsites along the right-hand side that are nearest to the cell tower are not operated by us.) Pack out what you pack in. All trash must be removed at check out. Jack's Country Store offers garbage drop off for a small fee. There is a small park with a restroom located a couple blocks away that is usually open for public use. Please be mindful of other campers as this is an open field nestled under old growth Maple Trees. Quiet Hours and respectful camping etiquette should be followed. We have a communal fire pit in the middle of the 3 acre parcel, 7 sites in total and a clean and new Porta-Potty toilet. There is no water on site so please bring your own water. You may also bring your own portable propane fire pit should you wish not to use the communal fire pit. We hope this description helps! Site 1 is best suited for a camper van. Everyone must pass by this site to get to the other sites. SIte 1 is also closest to the Porta Potty. Site 5 and 6 are in the very back of the property and might be best if you are camping with another family. Site 7 is closest to the fire pit. One tent per space please. You are welcome to message the Host for any questions, we are very accommodating and can also help you plan your trip and advise on things to do. We also have a brand new cabin 1/2 mile up the Valley from our Merriman Creek Hipcamp that also can be rented through the Hipcamp Platform.

Nice campsite with a decent amount of space. We had a lot of pretty nasty burrs in the grass, so I'd recommend a bit of a thicker layer between yourself and the ground. We put towels between our tent and tarp, which seemed to do the trick

29 nights at Snoen Beach Campout

Your home away from home. This camp site is large, secluded, very quiet, private and safe. The locals in the area are respectful and quiet. The full hookups worked exactly as they should. The roads in the area are very good for biking or walking. The beach is close and at low tide you can ride even a road bike on the beach. There were no annoying bugs and I only saw one mosquito in a month. There were deer, bunnies, squirrels and chipmunks that frequent the area. There is no cell signal at the camp site, but at the beach there is. If you bring a starlink it works. I highly recommend this site, from what I saw it is the largest and most private campsite on the entire peninsula.

This is site 1. First camp site on the right when you enter property. Has fire pit and wood grill.

2 nights at Beach Camp - Long Beach Peninsula

Great experience. We went Sunday-Tuesday so we had the whole campground to ourselves. Even the other side that’s not hosted by this person. The lot is split in half with two owners both found on Hipcamp. Had a fire pit, porta-potty, a private gate entrance, very clean, edged with tall beautiful evergreens, trails around the camp site, wildlife all around. We saw deer cross through the campsite Monday night. You do have to bring your own water. There is no water on site. We found free water at pioneer market in Long Beach. (Jacks country store does not help with water from a spigot) You can’t walk to the beach, it says it’s a 1/4 mile but we did not find any beach walking distance. The closest was a 8 min drive(3 miles). The camp spot is on grass but there are gopher heads that kept getting on my daughter’s foot (1 yr old, so it’s a big deal 😂), riddled along the drive way and edges of campsite. Have to wear shoes all the time to be safe and I’m glad I didn’t take my dog. It would have been a hassle. Other that that, the campsite is a 4 out of 5 in my opinion. No Water, gophers heads, and the misleading about the beach is why it didn’t get 5.

Weekend Trip to Beach Camp - Long Beach Peninsula

Great place for a stop. Sites 1-3 are large enough for groups. The provided outhouse is clean, and well maintained. It is a nice quiet spot for families. Not far from there is Pacific Pines State Park. It's a nice change from Long Beach. More remote so you can spread out some. Dog owners: Great spot, but look carefully at their paws and fur. Somewhere nearby we picked up puncture vine seeds in our vehicle tires. I don't know where exactly. We looked carefully around in the gravel and saw a couple, but nothing in campsite 3 where we stayed.

This was a surprisingly spacious spot. Flat parking, lots of privacy, without being too far from everything we wanted to do. Portable toilet was clean and stocked. We'll definitely be back in the future.

This camp was great! It was very private, the dogs could be off leash which is a game changer for us( my dog won’t poop on leash) it’s a short walk to the beautiful beach and you can listen to the waves from camp

1 night at Merriman Creek Maple Flat Hipcamp

It's a small pasture surrounded by beautiful trees, there is no privacy from other campers but the sites are spread out. The site was all lush green grass even in Aug, I walked around barefoot most of the time. The huge maple trees were gorgeous, especially at sunset and sunrise. Negatives: our site was in direct afternoon sun (91° that day) it was hot, I asked Kellie a question through HC and she never answered, and the port-a-john was pretty gross, no toilet paper, hadn't been cleaned in 6 days.

Weekend Trip to Beach Camp - Long Beach Peninsula

I loved staying at this camping spot. It’s about 2.3 miles from drive on beach access. It was quiet, clean and had lots of space for each of the sites. It’s in a very safe neighborhood and easy to find. Only downside I would say is it has a lot of thorns (goatheads), so watch your feet and your dogs feet. But all in all I would recommend if you like staying where it’s uncrowded and have lots of room to spread out.

One big, grassy field with sites lined up. Site #6 was at the very end so if you set up right, you might get better privacy than the other sites. No service and close to Lake Quinault. Next to a road so you might hear cars, but otherwise it's pretty quiet.
